I suppose this is where we differ in our ideas Ti'rin. I beleive that a full restricted gem (be it 2 casting or 1) should count the same as if the gem was a full four cast gem. The reason for this is that we are restricting these spells for a reason. They are powerful and they require restriction to a smaller gem. Being the case then that smaller gem is comparable in power (in my eyes at least) to a fully charge gem of something else less broken. What do you players think?
Oh and as a side note Ti'rin don't use giant bold text especially when you disagree. You know perfectly well that normal sized text will get my attention and then prompt me to post. If its important use some bolded colred text. Its more appropriate.

On the voting list currently is Leyline of the Meek. Video proposed that we make it uncommon and remove the "If it starts in your hand" ability. What does everyone think of this (and yes, I do realize that I did propose the part about changing it to uncommon)? I think this might become how we handle all the leylines.

Someone once asked me why, when I talk about House Dimir, I don't put the word "the" in front of it.
At the time, I had no answer, but it just came to me.
Do we put the word "the" in front of God?

I added "and decrease the mana cost by one" to the changes.
I don't think that would be a good idea. The reason being that that would make them more useful overall, making them possible to come out a turn eariler. If they have to all come out on the fourth turn, then that limits their usefulness. However if they can come out on the third turn, then they can still be incredibly useful. Its all about speed.

I don't think we should drop the price; you can't be worried about making them strong enough to play, because there are lot of cards that are way to weak to play in this game; are we going to start tweaking them to make them more competetive? We dropped the "start in play" clause because that made them too strong, and to make up for it, we dropped their rarity; I think that's enough changing.

It has been changed. The cost-drop has been removed from the voting consideration by Fenris (if it's been put back up, I'll go change it again).

Is Buried Alive legal? If so, I want to point this possibility out:
Turn 1: Swamp. 4 Dark Rituals. Buried Alive, putting 3 Demigod of Revenge into your graveyard. Play Demigod, swing for 20 haste. I'm new here and that may not work for a reason I don't yet know...But I felt I should point that out.

No, as far as I can tell... as long as you have access to those cards... that works

Huh. The second part of the card is a mass tutor, which we have rules for. The first part is something that I have no rule for, so I'll have to see what Fenris, video and qfx say about this.

I think head games is far from useless. For a lot of mages really its cast head games and go and seek out every creature the opponent controls and put them into play. They Damnation/Wrath/whatever them away. Or you could go and fetch all land up to the 20 land max. Thats pretty powerful or heck even using it on oneself to bring out all of your finishers. That could get messy real quick.
Head Games doesn't put anything into play. From how I understand the rules, the card does absolutely nothing but let your opponent see your satchel, as we treat our hand and our library as one.

I am all for restricting Simian Spirit Guide So long as that means there are no restrictions placed on how many times you can use it per turn... for example:
1) The Beacons can all be game-changing spells, especially as they are infinite (unless countered). I vote for restriction to 1-cast gems.
2) In the same vein, once you use the spell, it's in your "library" not in your "hand". Restrict each to one casting per turn.
Another discussion I noticed was regarding whether restricted spell gems should take up the same room as normal ones. I would have to agree that they are restricted because they are powerful effects. Someone should not be rewarded for having restricted spells by giving them access to extra spells. I realize that this is actually against the spirit of MTG, but in terms of the RPG it should be a fair trade. Otherwise, someone could work on getting 20 of the restricted gems and try to break the game.
EDIT: I DO however agree with Ti'rin about the reimbursement for banned/restricted cards for those who already have the gems. Give them money back/fair trade, plus a little extra. Maybe 10-15% though, not 25%.
They love and hate to see me walk through the door. I'm the man with the box, one to carry all his Standard cards with him. I've got the commons and uncommons they need. But I've also got my decks. If I walk into FNM, I came to play. And they never know what I'm gonna pull out of my hat next. I may lose more than I win, but it just might be THIS deck that has all the answers that they don't have answers for. They fear the unknown. They fear me. And they never see me coming!

Is it just me... or is Wheel of Sun and Moon broken in a format where people already have easy access to their spells? I mean the card essentially gives you an unlimited supply of spells! Wouldn't that just kinda defeat the purpose of having a limit on the number of spells you can cast, especially when you have almost no randomness to the way in which we play our spells? I mean would you like to kill all 4 copies of a creature in an opponents deck, only to see them play that same creature 8 more times in a row?

I currently see no big concern with Buried Alive.
Oh, that is right... you can only play 3 spells a turn in this RPG :/
That'll teach me to be a noob! Oh well. I just felt I'd point it out.
According to this study I should be deaf by now.

Turn 1: Mountain x1, RFG x2 Simian Spirit Guide for mana, to cast 3x Shock
However seeing as how you can only activate one ability a turn... I think it would be more likely to see the following happen:
Turn 1: Mountain x1 (tapped), RFG x1 SSG for mana, to cast x2 Shock
Turn 2: Mountain x1 (both tapped), RFG x1 SSG for mana, to cast 1x Shock + 1x Incinerate
Or some combination there of.

Like this:
Points=(number of castings x rarity factor) + tournament factor
Rarity factor has to do with whether the spells are common, uncommon or rare:
Common Factor: .5
Uncommon Factor: 1
Rare Factor: 2
Tournament Factor has to do with Tenth Edition vs. Other Standard vs. Other Extended
Tenth Edition Factor: 0
Standard Factor: 2
Extended Factor: 4
