Top card of library: Darkness. All Kennar's vampires get +2/+1 and have flying.
The fire surrounding Kennar's right palm grows even larger. Kennar closes his eyes momentarily, then extends a hand. In front of the flamekin, a surge of dark mana gathers into a blackened cloud. Kennar thrusts his right palm forward, and a flash of fire joins the darkened cloud. Within the cloud, some dark shape stirs, then explodes upward and lands on the ground before Kennar.
The newly summoned undead lord spreads its arms, and Kennar's other summoned vampires shriek with bloodlust. All of Kennar's vampires are suddenly cloaked in darkness, shaped into massive bat-like wings. They rise into the air, empowered by the vampire lord's presence.
With a wave of his hand, a motion that is mirrored by the powerful master vampire, Kennar's two lesser vampires swoop forward from the sky and strike the orb with powerful attacks.
With the onslaught of pure power hitting the orb, its light begins to fade at an alarming pace. It goes from blindingly bright with red and purple radiance to simply a glowing orb, something easily stared into. The surface of the orb is still flawless, unmarred by the claws, blades, and fire that have been smashing into it.
After the brutal onslaught by the gathered mages, the orb sits still for several moments.
Suddenly, the ground begins to shake. The orb appears to be gathering power, and the influx of mana is huge. Everything goes quiet for a split second, then the orb produces a devestating explosion. Fire and debris tears into the latent magic of the area, shattering creatures, artifacts, and mana bonds with equal efficiency. The blast knocks the gathered mages off their feet, but not enough to harm or kill. It seems the blast was aimed at their mana, not their physical bodies.
Barely anything remains intact from the detonation. As the dust clears, the mages see that all of their creatures are incinerated. All of their artifacts are dust. And all of the bonds to their mana have been torn away. Worst of all, the dimmed orb still hovers before them, defying the gathered power of the mages.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Tai frowned, his plans dashed by the massive devastation left by the orb's wrath. Well...not quite square one... he thought. With a gesture, a gentle glow settled around him, adding the the arcane pulse spared by the destruction.
Erin stares as everything she has is wiped away. She kiicks at the sand a little bit and puts her hands in her pockets. She starts to roll a single blue ball over her shoulders. Her creatures simply became statuesque. Not moving. Not blocking. Barely there.
"Accursed thing..." Zalara shakily pulls herself to her feet. The repeated assaults on her mana bonds have taken a toll on her mind as well. She charges up her staff with another red mana and awaits the orb's next move.
David stood up and started to brush himself off. It figured his suggestion wouldn't work, in fact it apparently made things even worse. This orb was becoming less of an amusement and more of an annoyance. He needed to reconnect and he was feeling exhausted. As he reestablished his connection to the red leyline he debated whether or not to send another jolt at the orb. He figured it was better not to and to just keep his guard up. He decided to approach it again, dirk drawn and at the ready in case another blasted goblin appeared.
"Anyone know any way to just contain that damn thing?!"
"Contain," Kennar scoffs at the other red mage. "I'm just going to blow it up."
Kennar gathers up more red fire into his palm. From seemingly nowhere, the shadow of some kind of ape appears then vanishes. In front of the flamekin, a small burst of fiery red mana flows into his palm.
He then points both of his hands at the orb, and twin bolts of powerful electricity flash into the glowing sphere.

Mar is almost tempted to be rather discourteous when his circle of tile abruptly shrinks and returns to being rubble. But, as he picks himself off the ground, he merely sighs and readjusts his grip on his staff. The ground immediately around him turns to swamp once more, and again he waits.

GM2, Vishamon, DarkNightCavalier, Cyouni, and HyrkanianBlade are yet to post unless I'm overlooking something, though I believe GM@ did miss a pair of updates. Without a strict time limit, though, I would guess that the next update will be in a timeframe similar to that between the last two. But that's just a guess, its really up to Caex.
And speaking of things that are up to Caex, does this orb have a graveyard, or are its spells non-card copies? Out of curiosity, in case targeting something there were relevant.

This time, three goblins appear before it. They all charge at Cyouni, apparently attempting to cause as much harm as they can by concentrating their attacks on the one whose last attack was most powerful.
After the goblins finish their charge, the orb glows dull purple, and suddenly every mage feels a slicing pain in their head. This pain is so intense that it actually cuts away at their stored magic.
OOC: The orb summons 3 goblins, which then all attack Cyouni. Then the orb casts Delirium Skeins. Each player must discard 3 cards before taking their turn.

"So much for that..." the mage mumbles as he wipes the dust and guts off his robes as he gathers another bit of mana. Letting bits of masgic leak out as the spell fades.

The mage lets out a sigh as he snaps his fingers, bringing a curtain of darkness down over the field. "This orb just gets more and more annoying," he mutters, his dagger lashing out to take the life of one of the goblins.
As the darkness lifts, Cyouni's revealed, one hand gripping his head in a futile attempt to stem the pain.
Darkness, block with weapon to kill one of the goblins. I'll let drop 2x Vampire Bats and 1x Doom Blade for the Skeins.

Cyouni raises the dagger to point at the orb, and the souls of the fallen creatures begin to swirl around it. Drawing power from them to fuel his spell, the mage brings the dagger slashing down, letting the concentrated power out into the world.
A black column momentarily expands before him, and when it fades, a spirit of death armed with a scythe stands before the mage.
I'll take a guess and say there are more than 10 creatures in the grave.
With a clearing shake of his head, Kennar draws more shadow into black fire in his left hand.
He looks over at Erin and catches her eye. He's seen her copying magic and creatures. Maybe if he starts really cutting loose, she'll help him out. He glances at the orb, then nods to Erin. "I'm going to hit it with everything I have. Anyone want to help?"
Once again, the shadow of some kind of ape can be seen behind Kennar, then a cloud of red fire gathers in his palm. The black fire his his left and the new red flame go dim as Kennar summons a nebulous cloud of black mana. Part of that cloud collapses in on itself then expands even larger with a gesture from Kennar. He does it once more, until the black mana cloud is a huge swirling black mass before him.
The black cloud of mana flows over to the orb, and Kennar extends his right palm where a single red flame flickers. He begins to swirl his arm, as though he were stirring something. The black cloud begins to spin in tandem with this motion, faster and faster around the orb. Then the red flame from his hand shoots forward, turning the black mass from swirling mist into a hurricane of black fire. The black twister roars as waves of heat roll from it, scouring the earth black.
