Vorin walked out from hiding, convinced that the skirmish that had happened here had passed. From where he was, he looked around quickly remembering the direction he came from to triangulate where he was in relationship to the healer's house. He then began to walk in the opposite direction of the house, assuming that that was the general direction Kassim had gone.
OOC: Can't say I can blame you for trying.
The mists swirled about the man, but he waved it away like smoke.
------------------
As Vorin emerged from the alley, he saw Kassim trying to cast a spell.
Vorin saw Kassim, but did not draw himself to his attention. Kassim was clearly preoccupied with the conflict and as much as he wanted to walk up to Kassim and say "Hey, let's get out of here," he knew it wasn't very likely.
Vorin tried to remain hidden, but he scanned the surrounding area to try notice anything that Kassim may have missed about the situation in his rush to save the day (What Vorin believes happened). He looked around for any villagers or other raiders that might be in the vicinity in an attempt to figure out what was going on here, or to gain an advantage in the upcoming fight.
He had no desire to get directly involved in the conflict, but he had full intentions of protecting Kassim. While protecting others was certainly not something he was used to doing, Vorin drew upon the memory of the Oasis they had just visited. He tried to release some of the mana he gathered there to be ready to protect his ally from the sidelines.
OOC: I'm going to assume I don't notice anything out of the ordinary, as I've been looking around for two rounds...
Vorin decided to gather some real mana. The man seemed to have destructive spells that he couldn't stop with the mana from the Oasis, and that way, he was ready to intervene should Kassim need the assistance. He was also glad to be face to face with someone who appeared to be in charge and not just attacking recklessly. Maybe he could find out why these bandits were here in the first place.

Actions:
Still staying out of sight of both Kassim and the man he's fighting, and still looking around the area for any other bandits or any villagers.
Vorin was moved by Kassim's speech, but he had grown up on a lifestyle of pointless pillaging, so it was awkward the see it from the other side. Kassim's willingness to help impacted Vorin tempted his conscious further, as he became tempted to mindlessly join the fray.
He waited for the bandit to speak, and was quite annoyed when he did not do so. His tribe of elves did a lot of raiding villages and killing innocents, but there was always some purpose behind doing so. There was always some motivation for the strong to survive and the weak to perish (or be lucky, in his case). It felt wrong to protect the weak, but Kassim's words had some truth in them. The villagers had saved him from his injuries. But he wanted to repay them in another way. He wanted to help them protect themselves, but at the rate this was going, helping Kassim seemed more important.
Seeing the lightning bolts, Vorin acted to use his healing mana to save the elemental, and he was hoping this spell would not give away his location. He considered jumping out and revealing himself, but he wasn't ready to give away his position, and most of his spells were supportive anyway.

Grunting, the man looked at the field. He then thrust his hands forward, sending a consuming darkness forward, destroying all in it's path. He then summoned a small goblin, who wasted no time, running and screaming towards Vorin.

OOC: You influenced the battle by saving the elemental, thus making your presence known. You may not be readily visible, but he knows where you are roughly at least.
Vorin saw that the goblin was heading his way. Upset that he had been discovered, he quickly ducked behind another corner, and from the cover, blasted the goblin out of existence (Shock it)
"This was getting boring anyway...It's time we get out of here" Vorin mumbled to himself.
Out of the alley where the goblin had disappeared, three similar goblins came out, raging just as quickly and aggressively at the bandit.
2) Giga, I don't know if you are going to read this, but I hear you're leaving. it was a lot of fun going on this quest with you, and I hope everything works out well. I understand real life coming in the way, so thanks for the time you put into this.
3) Since it's been over a month since Giga took his last turn, any chance another WPL can jump in and help us move on. I'm sure you all must be swamped right now, so take your time, but I just saw that this was moving down with the locked threads and I was hoping we wouldn't be forgotten about. Thanks a lot.
OOC: Sorry about the wait, folks. I'll be taking over this quest. Please give me at least a couple days to familiarize myself with the quest, then we can get it moving again.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
