This thread is for Yukora's character Aramil and any other WPLs that need to post here. All others will be subject to the Burnt Offering spell to fuel the horrors I plan to unleash in this thread.
Jeremy walked into the library following his orders from Circu and waited. For all he knew Aramil could already be in the room hiding. Either way the man would reveal himself when he is ready.
Aramil saw Jeremy enter the library and he quickly closed the Journal of Talon Tatlov. He tossed his head back, making the hood of his cloak fall from his shoulders. "Ah, Jeremy, are you prepared for the task ahead?"
Jeremy paused for a second thinking about that. Aramil didn't need to read Jeremy's mind to know he had conflicting thoughts about asking for Aramil's help on this mission. He decided to speak his mind saying, "We've been given an important mission from Circu, Aramil. I plan to do my part so don't distract yourself by trying to hold my hand through this. My team will do our part one way or another. You just need to make sure you draw these bastards out, make them pay for the insult they threw in our face."
There was a long pause as Aramil looked at Jeremy. Finally, he sighed and said, "Alright. You're a tough kid and you can take care of yourself. It's not like you'll be alone, either. Just be careful, and I'll be sure to do my part as well."
Jeremy brought his voice to a hushed tone saying, "Well, you seem a bit calmer. That edge of darkness that was always at the corner of your eye seems... Tamed now... Focused."
"I assure you, when the time comes, I will cut as sharply as I ever have. I have just had plenty of time to relieve some of the stressors that plagued me when I first came here. This guild, this, brotherhood, has given my life purpose again."
Aramil stood and walked around the library, with his back to Jeremy. He looked over his shoulder and back at the boy and said, "That is why I will do what I must to end this threat. I don't care if I have to unravel every mind that makes up the Consortium. they will not threaten that which I hold dear."
Outside the library Jeremy was busy talking to five heavily bandaged men. All five were silent as they listened to Jeremy lay out his plan, nodding where necessary.
From Aramil's left Circu approached asking, "How much back up do you think you can afford to go without while acting as our bait?"
Aramil mulled over his options for several moments before saying. "I don't want any back up. the more minds we have out there the more chances we have for one of them to get captured and more of our secrets spread to those who should not know them"
Aramil turned to Circu and said, "I would, however, like any mental warning you may be able to give me. I know nothing of tezzeret, but I have met Jace before, I could tear him apart in physical combat, but he outclassed me even back then. I could just...feel a well of power coming from his mind. If I am going to survive this I will need to be able to defend against him while taking out his leader."
Circu sighed hating to admit what he was about to say.
"Well I'm still working on how this man Jace was able to create that feedback spell. Ideally I would send you out with that protection." Circu paused for a moment thinking before saying, "There's only one other effective artifact I could give you to defend against a mental assault. The problem is that wearing this amulet will severely cripple your own telepathic abilities..."
Circu grinned wickedly saying, "One of my own design, created out of necessity for those who denied our offer to join us. The best analogy for describing this amulet is by thinking of your brain as a person that has been placed in an impenetrable cage, nothing can get in or out."
Aramil thought about it fro a long time. "No, I need to be at my best. if my telepathic capabilities are diminished I will only be crippling myself. I think the best course of action is to either have someone wait in the shadows to wipe my mind if I were to fail. Either that, or I could concentrate all my mental power inward and release all the negating energy I have upon my own mind. I'd be useless afterwards and suffer a fate worse than death, but they would glean nothing from me as there would be nothing left."
Circu thought this over before saying, "Ultimately the choice is yours. Which scenario do you think you can accept? One where an unknown agent purges your very being, or one where you make the final decision?"
"If for no other reason other than I don't want another telepath exposed, I think it would be best if I controlled the failsafe."
Aramil took a deep sigh and seemed to shiver a bit for some reason, "Please...don't tell Jeremy about this plan. I don't want him to worry about me at all during then mission."
"Jeremy already knows everything he needs to know for this mission. Anything more would just get in the way of the mission. He'll keep his focus, you just remember to keep yours." Circu looked Aramil in the eyes saying, "Do not fail your guild here. Find this Tezzeret and weed out this Consortium."
Circu nodded, satisfied for the moment, and turned away from Aramil as Jeremy approached. Jeremy had an excited gleam in his eyes as he called to Aramil, "We're ready when you are."
"Alright, we're heading out through the sewer system. I'll contact you when my group is about to get into position." said Jeremy as he pointed at a brown leather pack. "Circu said to use that to destroy their base. I'll be waiting with my team until you reach the streets outside their base. Give me the go ahead if you sense him inside. If you don't sense him then keep a watch out for him and signal when he enters. Sound like a plan?"

He then vaulted over one of the tables and was running through the door calling back to Aramil with a wink, "Come on Old Man!"
