Hey all. Amadi PM'd me about filling a slot that may (or may not) have been vacated. Therefore, I would like to express my interest in participating in this shindig.
I dont have any of the books outside the Php, so I am unsure how some of you found your characters. I was wondering if I could use the races here? Obviously, I cannot use anything LA 3 or higher (as per the rules).

You certainly can, jsut see my character! Just make sure you have a template. Up to 2 LA is free, the rest count against one side of your progression as normal.
Just wanted to post a preliminary Character sheet, so I could get some feedback. Obviously, it isn't finished, as I still need to purchase items and get my cleric spells in order, but still. Tell me what you think.
Edit: If you wanted my race, you can find it here.
Sadly enough, Mystic Theurge is banned along with other dual-progression prestiges, in gestalt. Loremaster is a good alternative for you, however, also from d20srd.
I was kind of worried at first, since DnDWiki has a lot of broken stuff, but that faerie variant seems pretty balanced after all.
EDIT: That is not a template but a race, though, so you might want to consult Talore if it's allright as he made up that rule. Alternatively, you can search Chet Erez's d20 Index Files for the templates. Template is something you apply on top of your race, not a race in itself. For example, Half-Dragon. You can be Half-Dragon Elf, Half-Dragon Human, Half-Dragon Orc or whatever you may.

producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.
Darn.... I knew that was too good to be true. Every time i took a level in that, its as if I leveled twice for wizard. Anyway, I will change that to something else, but I am pretty sure that my race is fine. If I need to add a template on top of that, sure...

So no on the race? Or yes on the race with a template?
Edit: Ok, so I am still not getting the difference between a template and a race... how am I supposed to incorporate it in what I want to do? Assuming that being a faerie is ok (maybe it is. Maybe not), wouldn't adding a template make it more broken? Like, if I added the half-janni template to my creatures, I would forsake 3 of my levels for extra buffs and abilities.... correct?

Yeah, you lose levels but gain other benefits, such as stats etc. You can apply this to only one side of your gestalt, however, using Template Classes to your benefit. Infact, using Monster Classes, you can put the race LA to a side this way, too. Basically it allows you to go..
Note that 2 of the Half-Janni's LA is removed due to Talore's decision. Otherwise it would take 3 levels.
The race is fine, although a bit on the better side. It still doesn't compete with Saint (BoED) for the +2 LA part, though, or Jermlaine/Anthropomorphic Bat. (3.5up/Savage Species)

Ok, got it. That makes sense now. I will fix my character sheet and have a pretty much completed version by tomorrow.
Edit: Question.... if I go with an Alu-demon Faerie, of which the faerie has a HD of 6, would that mean my starting skills are (8+ int)*9?, which at first level is 117 (int = 5 at first level)?
Edit2: Hey guys. I have finished my character sheet. Tell me if I missed anything.

also want to point out that 2 of your level adjustments are free. Meaning that they don't take up any actual levels on your characters level advancement (on either side of your gestalt progression). Or at least that is what I was told.

You appear to have no racial hit dice.
I also suggest that you put all your LA on one side of the gestalt, rather than split it up, since that will overall probably be a stronger character.
Actually, I do. All Fey creatures have a HD of 1d6.

really? thats interesting, then I suppose I should have a racial hit dice of 1d6 as well :3
EDIT: then again, maybe not... apparently my creature type is aberration, I am just considered fey for the purposes of spells and magic items...
Right. Only true fey (faeries/pixies/Dryad, etc) get the bonuses. The race template should have a description as to whether you get the bonuses or just the classification.
Edit: Will upload my new character sheet in about an hour. If you guys could look over it again, that would be much appreciated.

The fey type dictates that they get 1d6 HP from each of their racial HD. This almost never affects player characters, who advance in class levels rather than racial HD.

Your base attack bonus is too high (should be 8), you have spent too many skill points (should have spent 136 instead of the 200 you have), your base saves are all one point too low (should be 7-4-8), you have too few hit points (should have 107), and you should be casting level 7 wizard spells and level 5 cleric spells, rather than your current level 6 wizard, level 5 cleric.
edit: and you have too few spell slots for wizard - you forgot your specialization bonus.
Oh wow. There was a lot of stuff that I missed. I will fix that and repost it.
