1) Barbarian requires nonlawful, barring DM saying that it is allowed
2) No XP penalties for multiclassing, unless you're being utterly insane (like taking 7 base classes or something)
It'll end up being barbarian fighter monk electrokineticist, I think. And I'm putting the barbarian levels on the monk side, before my character becomes lawful (he switched alignment in his past; I have a backstory). He won't be able to rage, but he'll have two levels of d12 HD and the Uncanny Dodge that I'm probably overvaluing.
Is there a template for 'large version of a creature'? I really wanted to make a half-dragon with wings, but it seems like every large race in Crystalkeep has like fifteen HD of giant in it. Also, if there's really no 'large' template, would a character with Powerful Build be sturdy enough to get the half-dragon wings? They're not super-relevant mechanically (almost useless for fighting) but they're very flavorful and useful out of combat, especially if we're going to have an airship.
(Also, sorry about also being half-dragon, Talore, but I look for any possible excuse to use that template. I make the dragonest characters I can get away with, usually.)
Lawful barbarian.. Mmh.. It's kind of a stretch, to be honest, but if you believe you can roleplay it out, I figure it's allright. Nevertheless, Barbarians do not lose class features when they stop being nonlawful, so there's no stopping you from having been a barbarian once.
I don't know why there must be a "barbarian" instead of a generic "berserker"-class, though.

Well, the backstory is that my character starts out as a pretty unsavory character--he's half-dragon and probably half-giant (any word on the race business btw?), when he's still very young, he's already going around raiding hamlets (2nd-level-barbarian / 2 levels of LA). Then he has some sort of run-in with a monk, and the (small old human) monk is able to beat him, unarmed, so badly that my character almost dies. Just before the monk kills my character (while he's lying broken and bleeding on the ground), they talk a little, and the monk realizes my character is basically a kid being a punk, psychological issues and all. The monk feels a little bad for him, so he takes my character to his monastery to decide what to do with him. They nurse him back to health, but it takes forever since none of the monks can heal him magically. It also gives the monks time to impress my character with both their learning and their martial prowess. The whole experience ends up totally changing his life, and he ends up going from chaotic to lawful and becoming a monk, training for real warfare. (3rd level monk / 2nd level barbarian // 2 levels LA / 3rd level fighter).
Then of course he discovers his innate mental abilities, but he's very lawful at this point, so he becomes an electro monk in conflict with his electro side--it's his nature to be chaotic, after all (I'll have him with a chaotic parent dragon), but he wants to be lawful now. Remember, if his life had gone un-interfered-with, he's the sort of character who would probably end up as a midboss in someone else's adventure. He's constantly fighting with this, and it makes for a very interesting creature to think about and RP.

I think I'll go with the half-dragon half-ogre bit; it seems like a logical pairing, plus it's quite efficient. +14 strength is a nice deal, as is a +8 natural armor bonus for a monk. In fact, with that much natural armor, I'm not sure I need to worry about Uncanny Dodge.
Thanks for the help. I think I can really work on this character now, especially since I finished with exams recently. I should have at least a preliminary sheet up by tomorrow.
EDIT: Here's the preliminary sheet. I dropped the barbarian business because I don't even have a Dex bonus anymore, plus it game me extra Psionic Fist levels (talk about your awesome class). I still have to figure out my fighter feats and if I want any feats from flaws (plus what to do with my last 7000 GP) but the outline is there.
You almost always want flaws, since they are ridiculously awesome.
Quicken Power or Link Power would also probably be worth it. With manifester level 11, you can quicken spells up to 3rd level. There's a lot of handy buffs on those levels - Force Screen, Bite of the Wolf, Metaphysical Claw, that kind of stuff. Remember to learn Psionic Lion's Charge, too.
Also, remember that when you do a full-attack, you can use your natural weapons as secondary weapons. You get -5 on them, unless you have multiattack, but they're still there. Hint: Multiattack is probably worth it.

I was assuming that my full-round looked like this: one unarmed strike at full, one at -5, and one bite at -5 (I already have the half-dragon's bite). Therefore, flurry is just better for me. Do I also get my claw attacks in the full-round? I thought they would have to replace unarmed strikes.

Yeah, you get the claws. I know it's weird, but a bear taking unarmed strike feats becomes a boxing bear who still keeps the natural attacks.

Oh my goodness. Yes, I misread flurry rather badly. I agree completely, multiattack is necessary. This build is much, much more terrifying that I had realized.
Is Lion's Charge really necessary on top of Hustle? I was assuming seventy feet would usually be enough.
So, who are missing their characters? REPORT IN, CITIZEN. THIS IS ALP CDR FRIEND COMPUTER. IF YOU ARE NOT A TRBrzztazz bz coMmMUNIST REPORT INSTANTLY TO THE CLOSEST INTERNAL PROBING CENTRE.

the only missing character (aside from the potential one that iRebel said he might do) is Cabal_Chan, who has been putting it off for other things... I am speaking with him at the moment.

Apologies, I'll be dropping this campaign. It's not because of any of you. I just don't..."feel"...anything for it. I'll be doing my utmost to not let the same happen to the other campaigns I'm in.
It's allright. This is not the first time this has happened in P&PI. Sometimes you just don't connect with a character, and if you just keep playing because you have to, it ends up unsatisfactory.
I am a bit sad to see you go, I always am when a player has to leave, but I understand.

Right. I think I'll take a monk's belt instead.

People compained about me, and I'm not half as powerful as this (as a wizard) with DMM.
We could just pay someone... or have a relation/loyal friend pilot it.
