Hey caex just one question, this campaign features little to no aquatic elements right? im asking because my invocation choice may vary depending on this
I don't think an aquatic element bothers me one bit, I just shape shift into an aquatic creature if we do have an aquatic element
EDIT: I am assuming by "Aquatic Element" you are referencing "underwater adventuring" and not "Water Elementals"

Well with aquatic elements i was referring to swimming, boats and the like, I AM wearing around 30-50 pounds of metal afterall so i want to be able to survive if for some reason i end up face down in two inches of water
As for the Elementals i can just simply jump inside and relax
Edit: I changed a Domain from Chaos to Renewal, not only does renewal has a better effect for survival it falls more in line with what im hoping to do Bio wise, decided to do a "Spell Book" sort of thing for the cleric spells so i dont have to be flipping around notes to see what spells i prepared and stuff
Edit 2: How does Faith Healing work in this campaign? (Spell Compedium 249)
Hey caex just one question, this campaign features little to no aquatic elements right? im asking because my invocation choice may vary depending on this
Well, the first scene of the campaign involves the party boarding a boat. So yes, at least a little oceanic adventure.
Edit 2: How does Faith Healing work in this campaign? (Spell Compedium 249)
It doesn't. Some spells just won't work normally enough for this campaign. Faith Healing is one of them. There might be a few others, but we'll handle them on a case-to-case basis.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
Ok thats one spell crossed out then was hoping anyone who believed in pacts mysticism or renewal would qualify (Would break the spell in half and more)
Well unless theres some heavy underwater element i think i can survive with short range Dimension doors

Call me old fashioned, but an evil ascension to power just isn't the same without someone chanting faux Latin in the background.

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange eons even death may die.
just out of curiousity Sep, could you um... choose a more human sounding name? Unless you want my character continuously calling your character, Val, or something? Because there is no way that she could call a human what you named your character, and keep a straight face >.<

Nope, my name has a reason behind it, you will see once i finish writing the Bio, it is both comical and fitting.

Does that mean the paladin's 'Lay on Hands' and other abilities don't work?
And something I forgot about earlier. Should I pick my domains?
Edit: And how do domains work when there is no deity to choose from?

Lay on Hands and other abilities work. Very Deity-specific spells and abilities don't work. General good divine abilities are unaffected.
Feel free to pick domains. I made a post somewhere earlier about how Domains work. I'll find the link.

Kind of. They have to be related to your Ideal. For example: If your Ideal is Nature, you could take the Storm or Plant domains, but not the Magic or Protection domains. Some Ideals are going to be more broad than others.
Simply choose 3 domains related to your Ideal, and you're good.

Had a bit of a hiccup with my bio had to rewrite it all over again so it ended up shorter this time around, do let me know if you need more, theres a reason behind the name but im notsure if i should add it there or just RP it.

so are we all um ready to start? I can only think of a few more possible things that need doing (Sep fixing his mace's stats for one, and finishing his spell list for another).
Also, Due to Caex's allowance for Elves to start with Proficiency in one of the following weapons: Elven Thinblade, Elven Lightblade, or Elven Courtblade; I will be starting with Proficiency in the Elven Thinblade, and have changed my main weapon from a +3 Flaming Burst Longsword to a +3 Flaming Burst Elven Thinblade as that is a significantly better weapon overall for that particular enchantment.
Also Talore, not sure if you will want to use any of those weapons or not, but you may want to discuss the possibility with Caex. As the weapons are VERY VERY Good.
I'll keep the normal proficiencies, the only thing that matters is that I'm proficient with a martial weapon for War Weaver, which elves are. My bio is coming along nicely.
The Warlock Scepter is accurate (well except the damage but im not intending to do close melee) i did notice i forgot the profane bonus to hit with the EB though so ill add that now.
(By the way i am using the MIC version of Warlocks scepter not the CA version).
The Spell List can be done anytime and its not really a problem so if thats all we are waiting on we can go ahead and start

Indeed I just finished the basic description for Taikavoima, I'll re-post it here. I'm ready to play, I just don't have daily spells prepared.
------------------------------------
Taikavoima was friends with the king (obviously) but is also friends with the court mage, Etos, who have traded spell scribings a few times. Taikavoima's allies include the party, other friends of the late king, and an elite cabal of (mostly) grey elves, that go by no official name (they are very secretive) but they reference it as 'The Silver Circle.'
Born into the Silver Circle, Taikavoima was raised from the womb to be a wizard. He was indoctrinated into their secret language, their tradition, and their considerable knowledge. He was raised in a remote mountainous region, where in addition to his cloistered studies, he was able to experience nature and the world a bit; hiking from building to building and from valley to valley ensured he wasn't as frail as other spellcasters.
Life continued on much the same for Taikavoima's childhood (which is a long time for humans.) He tavelled more and more, on 'trips' arranged by the Silver Cirlcle, to gain experience in the world, to use magic practically, and to generally develop. There were errands of need (trade for supplies,) errands of interest (attaining scrolls, tomes, etc. which often involved attaining favours from others, or even dungeon delving,) and occasional errands of politics (negotiations with other elves, kingdoms, etc.) It was when Taikavoima was a young adult that he met the late king Federick I, on a diplomatic assignment.
He was to travel to Estark to negotiate the terms of contract of magical services in exchange for resources and continued favour. It was a long process, and the king needed to travel to an outlying city for a royal ceremony, so Taikavoima travelled with the King's caravan. It was ambushed by political enemies and infiltrated from the inside; Taikavoima's quick action and warding spells prevented the king's death, and allowed the loyal guards to rout the rebels. After that, the two became trusted friends.
The Circle saw the value in this, so Taikavoima remained with the King in his domain, both as an emmisary, guardian, and friend. Taikavoima eventually got involved with the kingdom's military actions, and he became renowned on the battlefield against the barbarians. He still completed assingments of information and magical aquisition, and visited the Circle frequently, but his main abode was in the castle of Ferderick.
Taikavoima has a bad habit of... blasting Northern Barbarians into bits and pieces in an exciting variety of ways, which shall go indescribed. Suffice to say that they rue the 'Southern Elf Demon' and would go to great lengths to see him dead, to avenge the countless deaths of soldiers.
-----------------------------------
By the way, people using weapons, I'll be chaining Greater Magic Weapon onto all of your weapons, so for example, instead of getting a +3 flaming burst thinblade, I'd get a +1 vorpal flaming burst thinblade, or even better a +1 keen vorpal flaming thinblade. Double threat-range is better than a piddly amount of bonus fire damage. By the way, everyone's mother is going to be resisting fire at this level. Last I heard, 15-20/x4 on a +5 weapon is pretty good.
Okay I just modified my character's magic item list substantially. I wanted to get some items from Races of the Wild and the Magic Item Compendium to make my character more effective, so the list should now be more on level with the character level we are playing at I think. Let me know what you all think.

I thought I would inform you, since I haven't posted yet, I just modified my Weapon as per Talore's advice. It still has the same effective Enhancement Bonus, but it is now a +1 Keen Vorpal Hideaway Thinblade instead of what it used to be. So it should now fit in with his strategy of Greater Magic Weapon plans more effectively.
EDIT: that was the final last minute change.
