I'm going with Fighter/???. Dunno yet, since I've still got to take 2 more levels of Monsterous Humanoid before I get a chance to take another base class.
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p

If I can have permission to play the monster class that I created for your previous Arena campaign then I want to do that//healer I think. Should help with the staying alive aspect of the game.
Gah. If Amadi didn't create this campaign after I requested someone start one, I might have dropped out of this. I really wanted to play a Raptorian caster/archer. Specifically, a storm mage. Thunder, lightning, wind, rain, all that good stuff. Except Sorcerer, Wizard, and Cleric are all banned.

The Sage is occupied with the unspoken

Teaching without verbosity,
producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.
And you, too, are one of us, and yet you are not. In your words I hear anger, hatred. I see a darkness that is not cold and lifeless, but is alive and moving, like a living entity. I feel caged, trapped, a yearning for escape. --Death Gate Cycle Volume 3: Fire Sea
Here's the formula:
As far as I know, we're using standard wealth for level. 19,000 for level 7.
Awesome. With that, am I allowed to purchase any starting gear, including magic weapons and the ilk from that?

That's exactly what it's for. It's assumed that a starting character of higher level has been adventuring and gaining wealth for all his levels, so they just calculate the average amount of wealth gained by characters up to that level, and that's how much you have to spend on gear.

To be honest, while I've played a couple hundred hours of D&D, I've never played a character above fifth level before.
I have a reasonable idea of what feats and skills are useful, and I understand the synergy between my two classes, but I know almost nothing about what kinds of items to get. Magic items are key in this kind of game...and I have no ideas on what to get, beyond...stat-enhancing things.
Can anyone offer me suggestions? I have most of the books, so just naming the item and the book is enough to help me out.
Mythril breastplate +1 = $5,350
Two-Bladed Sword +1 on both heads = $4,700
Bag of Holding Type 1 = $2,500
Boots of Striding and Springing = $5,500
Other-Random-Jank-In-My-Bag-of-Holding = 63 Gold, 7 silver, 2 copper
Grand total = 18,113 Gold, 7 silver, 2 copper.
I'm left with = 886 gold, 2 silver, 8 copper.
My total also comes out to 43 pounds, which is well within "light load" for my character, if we're playing that hardcore.
Here's Neruva Zanar, my female human Barbarian 2/Rogue 4/Fighter 7/Dervish 1. Sorry about the multi-class whoring.
Could somebody do me a huge favor and take a look at my sheet to ensure everything is correct? I'm not used to gestalt, and got a little confused by the saves.
Also, for two weapon fighting. My base attack is 7, my strength is +2, the weapon is a +1 weapon, and I have weapon focus for another +1, totally to a +11. Penalties after two-weapon fighting give me a total +9, correct?
For damage, strength is 3 (1 1/2 because im using both hands), specialization is another 2, and enhancement bonus is another 1, totaling damage dice +6, correct?
If somebody could verify this information, I would love them forever.

I did, actually, intend to have her be fairly social; I see what you mean about those abilities; I'll probably switch that for Frightful Blast, which I'd be losing anyway.
Where's the chart for costs for armor enhancement like that? It certainly isn't in the player's handbook, and I wasn't able to find it readily.
As for the healing belt....I just realized our party has no cleric or cleric equivalent, as yet. I think I will absolutely buy that...also, does anyone have healing abilities? Anyone? Because if we don't, it might be rough.
Is there any way to stack multiple boosts onto one magic item? I was sort of hoping to get a cloak of charisma, and I was wondering if I could add its ability to a cloak of resistance.
Also boots of speed--are they legal? That one seems pretty good.
The charts for magic armor and magic items in general are in the back of the DM Guide. Check out the table of contents, everything category of magic items has it's own sub-chapter.
I don't know what boots of speed are, but i'm rather pleased with my boots of striding and springing, which are in the wonderous items section of magic items.
I'm not sure about your Cloak question though. I suppose that would be up to DM approval for custom items? Not sure.

Thanks for all the help on AIM, Halinn. If Fire Elf is an allowed race, I think I may choose that instead of the human build I have right now. Further pondering will decide if I want to suffer the HP loss of a dying constitution.

I still need to know about beastmaster class before I continue charecter creation. The only class it "mimics" is druid, and that's only for animal companion, which is shared by ranger. Still, dunno

Is it worth it for everyone to buy horses? I noticed that nobody seems to have one, and they have been an important part of my prior campaigns.
(Tessa won't buy one, if I can get away with it; she weighs 44 pounds with her whole load, so she can ride on someone's back until the actual fighting starts Or buy a pony. )
:). Well. If fire elf is an allowed race, I have work to do tonight. Bio and complete character sheet should be there by tomorrow, then I'm ready to go.

I have finished Tessa's backstory and am ready to go. She's very different from the type of character I typically play; I'm looking forward to RPing her.
Prepare yourself, Caex. it's highly probable that she will try to claim Vutha as her personal steed
Everything scares me... kitties scare me... squirrels scare me... corpses....corpses bring forth a pletora of confusing feeling which i prefer not to dwell on...:p
When I calculated Tessa's size and weight, I just got this image--there's a girl I babysit who weights considerably more than forty-five pounds, and I carry her around on my shoulders all the time; it's part of a game we play. So I just got this image of a huge, dragony character, flying through the sky all majestic-like (he flies horizontally, right?)--with this tiny little girl on his back, yelling 'go faster! go faster!' It made me smile.
Incidentally, we have PokerShark's character, sort of; we have Tessa; we have Vutha...I think I haven't seen Halinn's or Id Ego's characters yet? Or did I miss them?
(Sorry I'm impatient, but I really like this new character I wanna play her! :p)
EDIT: By the way, I am fairly sure I got all my synergies and everything right, Amadi, but if you see anything I did wrong, I'm not trying to cheat. I'm just...new to building characters this advanced.

You guys know how lenient I am.
That would be fantastic. Maybe we can breathe some life back into the P&PI.
Don't wanna get burned out on D&D, but I just got access to a bunch of extra supplements. I now have a huge amount of material to keep me interested.
EDS: I've got all of my sheet except the bio done. Vutha, professional aerial warrior.
