Good morning dear ladies and gentlemen. Since there clearly is interest withing the P&PI, which is slowly returning to life from its' decade-long-nap, I will further stoke the fires of our hearth and begin telling stories. All I need is five brave assistants to aid me in this mission.
Rules are as follows; We are playing D&D 3.5, Gestalt characters, Starting level 7, 32 Point Buy (Not mamelon.), Yes to traits, No to flaws, Nothing with an LA unless given special permission, You are only allowed to use base classes of tiers 4 to 6. Certain prestige classes are banned outright. I deserve the right to be a tyrann and pick my players or godmod/kill your characters and to be unfair. Have some sort of backstory. Monsters will try to kill you and intelligent monsters are not stupid.

This game has a distinct lack of me being a sorcerer.
Is there a point when we'll be able to access better class tiers? I'll see what I can whip up.
Several PrCs I'm considering. Dunno if they're banned or not, so I'll just list them:
Tattooed Monk
Spellsword
Daggerspell Mage
Enlightened Fist
EDIT:
I'd really love to play a Dragonkin, from the Draconomicon.
Basically, one side of my class progression would be 7 levels of Monsterous Humanoid, since Dragonkin are requried to have 7 levels of it. The other side would be only 5 levels of whatever class I decided to play.
I think the levels of Monsterous Humanoid would balance out the higher stats and wings of the Dragonkin.
If it makes you feel better, I'd purposfully not overpower him.
Vutha was always large for his size. That's what defined his life for almost a century.
He lived in a small tribe of nomadic Dragonkin, and was the chieftain's son. He was an unusual color: all black. Most Dragonkin were yellowish, greenish, or brown. He was trained as a warrior and a hunter from a young age. Due to his coloring, his large size, natural talent for flight, and heavy muscles, he was given special status as lead hunter despide his inexperience.. He was happy. For a little more than 100 years (just out of adolescence for a Dragonkin), he was content with his life.
Then came the minotaurs. His tribe had settled in an area rich with prey. Little did they know a herd of minotaurs claimed the area as their territory. When the minotaurs found them, they attacked, killing most of the tribe. Only Vutha and his father remained. They held their ground for hours, killing many minotaurs between them. But there were just too many. They were overwhelmed. Vutha dropped his favorite weapon, a blade on the end of a long pole. As the minotaurs piled onto him, he thrust the weapon, blade down, into the ground, intended as a final act of defiancce. Such was his strength and rage that he accidentally shoved it too deep. The entire weapon was submerged into the earth.
The leader of the minotaurs was unusually intelligent and cruel, and had some kind of draconic ancestry. He knew the value of powerful Dragonkin as slaves. Especially Vutha. They wrapped he and his father in chains, and took them to their caves. They were put to work immediately. Vutha resisted. Violently. After breaking a minotaur slavemaster's neck with his bare hands, the minotaur cheif appeared personally. Then he tortured Vutha's father in front of him, until Vutha promised he would serve without incident.
For 94 long years, Vutha and his father were enslaved to the minotaurs. Vutha dared not try to escape, because his father was aging and had been crippled by the minotaur's torture. Then, one day, his father died of his old age. Vutha decided his time to escape had come. Every day for a month, he slowly chipped at his chains with rock, slowly weakening the locks and links.
He waited for night, when he was allowed to sleep. As his minotaur guard was dozing off, Vutha ripped his chains off his body, then rushed the guard. He crushed the minotaur's snout with one hand as he broke off one of the bull-man's horns and plunged it into his throat with the other. His escape was silent enough that no other minotaurs heard him. He took wing, fleeing with all his speed.
He returned to the place where his tribe had died. So much had changed. The trees were dead, the signs that his people had ever existed were gone. Vutha remembered what he had done with his glaive. Could it still be there? He dug for hours in many different places. He couldn't remember where it was. Finally, after what seemed like many days, he found it. It was rusted, old, rotting. But it was his.
He hired himself out as a bodyguard, mercenary, and enforcer to earn enough gold to rebuild the weapon. After it was completed, he decided he liked the freedom of his new life. He remained an adventurer, having nowhere else to go and nothing else to do. His century spent as a slave still haunts him, and shapes his personality. He hates tyranny in any form, and reacts violently to slavery. He frees any enslaved person he meets, and scoffs at humanoid laws and thier illusion of authority. He is gruff and reserved, slow to trust anyone, and has a deep hatred and mistrust of all minotaurs.
He never did find out what happened to the minotaur chieftain. Perhaps he's still out there. Maybe one day Vutha will have a chance at revenge. Or perhaps the chieftain is long dead. Maybe Vutha will never have an opportunity to face his past...

None of these are banned on the basis of power. The ones that are banned based on that are things like Ur-priest - Classes that allow you to imitate the t1-3 classes very well without losing anything.
Some of them, though, are a bit questionable in general in gestalt. Tattooed monk is not one of these, but hybrid prestiges often allow for some stupid class combinations in gestalt. I'll go on case-by-case basis on those, depending on the build.
While the way you suggested it does in no way follow the rules of the game, I am going to allow it. Dragonkin is fairly weak for the level adjustment + HD it has, after all, and you promised to play nice.

How do the rules on racial LA and racial HD work in Gestalt? I must not understand those rules as well as I thought I did.
Should I just start both of my halves at level 5, and have to take two more levels of Monsterous Humanoid when I level?

That is how it works RAW, yes. The issue is that Monster Classes from Savage Species allow you to cram it all on one side, and by using those in gestalt, you do not incur LA to both sides like you normally would. (Basically making monster classes in general very very powerful in gestalt.)

Hm. I don't have access to Savage Species at the moment, so rest assured I can't possibly abuse the racial classes.
How about I just start at level 5 on both sides, and have to take two levels of Monsterous Humanoid on one side of my progression at my next two levels? Seems more simple than my way to me.

I think I'm going to play a sort of Mounted Archer type. Also I hope the campaign will have lots of outdoorsy stuff; because Handle Animal is a awesome skill.
A few (game specific) questions:
Does skirmish work from a mount's movement?
Is there any chance I could take the wildshaping ranger variant?
How difficult will this campaign be?
XP penalties for multiclassing?
I'm fairly certain that the other gestalt game is full, and me being at the bottom of the list, is wondering if there are still open spots in this game?
I'm ok with the rules of the game, but i'm still fairly new, especially to gestalt.
If you all do accept me, how do you feel about multiclass whoring?
Think something along the lines of bard/rogue/ranger/arcane archer/order of the bow initiate if I play.

That's what I was thinking. Spellthief would be an interesting route, but seemed a tad redundant, and doesn't get sneak attack bonuses nearly as quick as a rogue.
Rogue/Warmage/Ranger/Order of the Bow Initiate/Arcane Archer it is!!!
Just let me know if i'm allowed to play, Amadi.

I already have a scout/warlock built that I couldn't use in the other campaign. It seems perfect here; I just need to alter the base stats a little and level it to seven.
I'll step out of the other campaign and into this one, and someone else can have my spot there.
If there's room for me here, of course.
So, may I be number five in this campaign? It looks like Caex, Id Ego, Halinn, and Pokershark are already here.

Ermmm, what's up with starting equipment too? I just realized that with the fighter feats ill be taking, start equipment might be a tad important.

DICE=5]20+2[/DICE
If you include the brackets before and after the words 'dice' above, you get this:
see?
So if I was rolling those dice, we'd have:
DICE=2]12+2[/DICE
DICE=5]10+2[/DICE
or
Any chance we can take averages on our HP/level, by the way?
Here's the formula:
[^dice=Number of dice to be rolled]Number of sides+Modifier[/^dice]
Just remove the arrows.
So if I wanted to roll 3 d6's with a +3 modifier:
dice=3]6+3[/dice
Once I add the parenthesis on the outsides, I get:
As far as I know, we're using standard wealth for level. 19,000 for level 7.
