Having leapt back from the kick aimed at him, Garrett had decided to reposition himself. The garr focused on the group ahead of them, he aimed to take one of the by surprise.
Noting a garr trying to defend himself from Telcrova's attack, Garrett lunged forward and tried to wrap his right arm round the garr's neck, securing it in place with his free hand if he managed this first step.

The garr in question is held, though it struggles heavily to escape. This does let the one Garrett had been facing try to beat him in the head, though.
Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
Garrett grinned a little as Telcrova returned the favour. Meanwhile he locked his hands together to secure his lock around the garr's neck. Then he began to squeeze, hard.

The Garr struggles to pull itself away. Before kicking back for Garrett's crotch.
**As he leaned over, Eldridge, at a loss, threw an ice shot at his face and, as the garr moved to block or avoid it, lunged with his blade for its neck.**

The garr's reaction was understandable, limited as his options were. This was not Garrett's first time choking someone, however, and he brought a knee up to block the awkward attack without a thought. He also made a point of tugging harder against the garr's neck in response.

Now that worked rather well. The garr's hands immediately move up to its face, which has suffered a rather large laceration, letting out a howl of pain. And then the blade enters its neck, swiftly ending any pain it might be in.

The garr struggles all the harder when it hears its compatriot get silenced, though the struggles are weakening. The hold's too strong.
Seeing she's not going to make it, Telcrova drops a shroud of darkness over the garr behind Garrett. Maneuvering around the struggling pair, she charges into the darkness. This time, however, she waits to see if the garr covers its eyes before she strikes at them.
**Eldridge stares uncomprehendingly at the dead garr for a moment, having dropped the blade as soon as it sliced through tissue. Then as if all bursting out at once, he swooped down to grab it and shouted out,**
Eldridge - "What the ****!"

The garr saw what had almost happened to an ally. So it was swiftly back peddling to get out of the darkness, hand over its eye. It seems the same trick just won't work.

It would take a talented medium to get the answer to his question.
I'm curious about how it saw that in the darkness.
Telcrova almost shrugs. Then she drops another shroud behind the garr so that it'll backpedal into it and pursues. The blade stabs out at the garr's leg.

Telcrova's been using the exact same 'stab for the eye' technique this entire fight, in darkness and out. Not to mention that it could have something like unlight mastery, night vision, truesight, the works.
The garr backpedals into the darkness... And then immediately jumps to the side. Rolling and, as it does, grabbing a rock to throw at her.
Garrett allowed his quarry to slump to the floor. Focusing on his next target he broke into a run. While the garr was distracted trying to attack Silas, Garrett made to grab him in a similar chokehold to his friend.

It wasn't entirely successful. While the hold grabbed well, the touch startled the garr. The stone dig jumped up and backwards to simply squash Garrett.
Garrett attempted to twist as the garr made his move, hoping to force the pair to land on their sides rather than on Garret himself. He was only partially successful, the large warrior landing squarely on Garrett's right side, crushing most of the air out of him. He tried to keep his grip and choke the garr, but being winded was sapping his strength considerably.
The only one outside of the darkness is the one that didn't reach. And if it had some sort of darkvision, why would it bother leaving the Shroud?
Caught by surprise, Telcrova dives in the direction she'd been heading to avoid the rock. As she comes to her feet, the rapier flicks out at the garr's leg.

Garrett- Little help, mage.
The garr seems to realize it's winning. So it tries to roll to crush him entirely.

For the exact same reaction Telcrova gave.
The flick lands.. And gets the garr to kick at her. The stone dog's skin is a little too thick for the flick by itself to do much. More power will be needed to truly wound.
**Eldridge, snapping out of his reverie, noticed Garrett's plight and dashed to intercept the garr's back with his blade.**

Remembering the garr she faced at the city walls had done the exact same thing, Telcrova mimics her movements as then - step to the side so that the kick can't reach, blade heads towards the garr's eye. Except this time they're sped up by a second spell.

This whole 'attack the eye' thing just isn't working. Anytime the blade moves to it, the garr simply moves away, or lifts a hand. Moving slower, trying to trap her against a wall.
Telcrova's a lot faster - it's not going to trap her anytime soon.
Seeing as her normal tactic's not working, she keeps circling it, her blade flashing out at the garr's throat. Hoping to take out a vital point, one way or another.
At least it's a bigger target than the eye.

Which simply causes the Garr to back up and reach down for a stone to throw at him.
Telcrova's rapier won't have nearly that much range. Especially if she's still on the other side of the one Garrett is holding.

Silas scrambles around to the best of his ability, attempting a sort of diving roll, trying to get some room to get away.
Spells sustained if possible.
