Excited as ever, Lythra looks eagerly around at the merchants, raring to spend money he no longer has on items he is far too poor to afford. However, his eyes are caught by the prim man and his stack of mystical books. He leaps in front of him, stretching his arms out to the books as he says:
"Good sir, you seem overburdened by the weight of your lexicons! Might I be of lexissistance?"
I'm interested in the Blue Crystals however I supect something is afoot, so instead of approching the crystals myself, I summon a Drakeling Familiar to retrieve some of the crystals and possibly trigger any boobytraps, if the drake makes it back to me I'll retrive the rest of the crystals before continuing west. If something happens to my Drake I'll consider other possibilities.

Let's get to it:
The sun of Atruna has taken a position that fortifies your magical energies. Everyone has gained one mana of their player color.
Welcome to the world of Atruna. You arrive in Broadgate Meadow, and here you are:
You manage to squeeze the helpful words out of your mouth, hoping you won't regret them.
"Well, I'd say you could assist this rogue here with giving my son a display, but you don't ... seem the type," Partick replies. "But maybe I might have something more to your talents. Y'see, I was coming home from a trip to Kandor the other day and some bandits went and surprised me outside Pol River Cave. I reckon if you ambled over there without looking like much of a threat, they might go for you too and you could get me my stuff back." Somewhat interested now, you ask about the nature of a stuff. "Just some gold, nothing special, except an old dagger used to belong to my dad."
Finding nothing more of value at Cayman Lookout, you head south and arrive at Pol River Bank. You see Waylan Croakmoor, Varbus Boonspear, and Donrok Firehands.
You jump in front of Garrick and shout your pun, for which he almosts casts a hex on you then and there. But then, swallowing his pride, he accepts that he is, in fact, in need of an adventurer's assistance. "Yes, well, I suppose you could be of some use after all. It seems I misplaced one of my tomes in my travels, and I really must be getting it back." You inquire as to its name and importance. "It's called the Tome of the Firehound. I'd get it myself, but Pol River Cave is so far away, and it might require someone of your ... expertise, anyway."
You attempt to cast a bona fide creature spell, only to realize that you haven't actually learned how to do that yet. Luckily, that didn't take very long, so nobody else snatched up the crystals while you were trying.
Having screamed your response about your lack of potion expertise all the way to the river bank, you finally actually walk over to said river bank. Feeling lonely on the way, you decide it's time to consider casting a sort of spell you haven't tried yet since you got to Atruna, such that you may see the results. Sure enough, your attempt at a lizard summoning summons a lizard. You pet it, put as you do, you notice that red wisps seem to be flowing out from it. It would appear the kind of magic that went into summoning this creature can't sustain it for very long. Still, casting a spell is a worthy experience. Donrok +5 experience.
OOC NOTE: Your lizard will disappear at the end of your next turn. This is marked on your player card. There is a set game formula for how long tokens last, but I'm definitely not going to just tell you what it is.
First, here is your updated Area Card:
It appears that Waylan has woken up. He is now actively hunting for more frogs.
Also, you can make out a creature through the trees:

Like I said, I can only go by my own experience, which is now 18 years. Kind of disheartening when you think you know something and you find out that you're a notch below a low grade moron.
Lythra, nodding maddeningly at the wizard's request, heads Northwards to Filigar and Eastwards to Pol River Cave, which he remembered seeing a signpost for in the area before. As he enters the Cave area, he scans the landmark for any sign of the book.
Sorry, I forgot only instants and sorceries. (All the talk about companions confused me. XD)
I cast Forewarning, I see my short term future and if there is something dangerous that has to do with the Crystals, I'll leave them be and head west. If not I'll pick them up and head west.

Trevin slaps his hands together and says, "Well, I guess it's time to go grub hunting!" He grabs his gear and trudges off to about 20 paces away from the grubs. He lines up his shot, and lets the arrow fly!

You go East, and come to the Pol River Bank, where you notice three of your fellow adventurers are engaging with a strange man. Feeling attuned with the place, U is added to your mana reserves.
You head south onto Pilgrim's Road, then south again onto Ashburn Path.
There are a few nondescript passersby, and a wizard seemingly giving a lecture to a boy.
You explore your surroundings, venturing off the beaten path somewhat, and see:
You travel through Filigar to Pol River Cave and look around for the Tome. Sure enough, you find it stuck in a bush just outside the cave entrance. Before you touch it, you notice it seems to be glowing (though not enough to light up the cave).

Donrok approaches Waylan and inquire about his searching, with Naltraz and Varbus looking on.
"I'm looking for a frog to keep Bennie here friends," he says, tapping the frog in the jar next to him. He then pulls out another jar from his satchel. "I gotta make sure Bennie don't die of loneliness, and I figure they'd be a nice lookin thing for my shelf." Looking at Bennie in the jar, you are more concerned that Bennie might die from lack of air.
As Waylan finishes talking, Donrok's lizard friend evaporates into the ether.
You have learned of a new item in Waylan's inventory:

You have been welcomed into Atruna, and arrive at Broadgate Meadow. Here's you:
You head east and find yourself at the Pol River Mercenary Camp. Some of the sinister energy of this place enters Donrok through his fiery hands. Donrok gains B to mana reserves.
Many nondescript mercenaries amble about, waiting for someone to come along and hire them. There are also a couple troll mercenaries. You hadn't heard of troll mercenaries before, and even as you see them, you're not sure there should be such a thing. Yet there they are, talking with the camp leader.
OOC NOTE: I'm confused by your travel route, as Filigar and the Bank are not adjacent. Consult updates/maps when needed.
You arrive at the cave, walking past some other adventurer staring at some book, and look around the cave itself, but quickly realize all you can see is darkness. When you turn around, you find that you have been cornered, with no obvious route of escape:
You cast your vitality spell, boosting your might considerably for the next while. The bugs, being idiots, keep running straight toward you, and are consequently crushed. You gain two insect carcasses. Also, casting a spell like that is a quite good experience. Trevin +10 Exp. Your quest card has been updated.
You don't see any other bugs in the area though, and it looks like Grubins doesn't either.
OOC Note: Check your player card to see how counters work. You will see it's very similar to creature tokens. They will fade away at the end of your next turn, but there might be spells one could cast that would make counters of a longer duration. Hooray trial and error!
You cast your kinship spell (+5 exp) and a frog suddenly floats out of the water, looking quite alarmed, and into your hand. You give it to Waylan. "Thank you so much!" he says. "Please, I want you to have something. I know it isn't much, but here." He reaches into his pocket and gives you 10 gold. As he does, your roguish eyes notice he is also carrying some sort of elixir.

Frustrated by my vision of the possilbe future, I cast Nature's Tune. If anything OBVIOUS happens to the crystals, I'll pick them up and then head West. If nothing seems to happen, I'll leave them there for someone else to get snared by and forget about them and still head west.

Elena closed her eyes and gathered her thoughts, taking in the warmth of the sun overhead. "This ought to be an interesting place to work...I wonder if there's anything to work with here."
Of course, the woman was still new to this world, and for all the might she possessed, her sense of direction left a lot to be desired. Lacking any other ideas, she wandered East to the Pol River, following it south to the cave sitting on the bank.

Choose a creature on the battlefield, then reveal the top three cards of your library. If one of the cards revealed is a creature card of that shares a type with the chosen creature, put it into your hand. Then put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
To find a friend can be similar to finding knowledge, you just have to know what your looking for to start
Use the spell to search the surrounding area for any frogs, hidden or otherwise, and pacify them long enough to capture.

COMBAT NOTE ADDED: If you are being attacked by multiple creatures, you choose the order in which you assign combat damage to them, if necessary.
Reminders for Every Update: I'm not going to repost cards with literally no changes on them, such as quests or characters. That doesn't mean the quests aren't active and the characters aren't still there. Also, I suggest you read every spoiler to see what is happening in the world. If you want a link or the info for a card that isn't reposted here, like a quest or character, PM me.
I'm only editing in text versions for Area Cards, since only those seem to be needed. If you require otherwise, PM me.
As always, PM me if you see any errors
Updated Waylan Croakmoor card:
Before you can do anything else, though, Waylan walks back home to Filigar.

Of course, the woman was still new to this world, and for all the might she possessed, her sense of direction left a lot to be desired. Lacking any other ideas, she wandered East to the Pol River, following it south to the cave sitting on the bank.
