It is curious that mtgovideos, a site only popular among Magic Online players, was hacked. If the hacker chose this site himself, it may help give another clue to his personal identity.
I didn't see this post until now, but I figured I would chime in.
I run mtgovideos and the site itself was not targeted. The hacker actually found a way into my hosting company's servers and did this to every single client.
The site uses wordpress and phpbb, so it uses their password policies which almost surely do not store passwords in plaintext.
The site was fully functional the next day. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
This was not the first time he hacked a website's server. He claims he has defaced Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, and others.
