Our tireless editorial crew has selected five articles printed last month to be available for you to vote on for the July Article of the Month! The winners will receive exciting cash prizes through PayPal and store credit from www.RancoredElf.com.
Our first-place winner will receive $75 (funds sent by PayPal), and our second-place winner will receive $25 by PayPal and $25 in store credit from www.RancoredElf.com. Winners who can't receive payment to a PayPal account may receive RE.com store credit instead.
The nominees are (alphabetical by article title, ignoring column titles)...
1) Blue-Free Control in Legacy, by Andrew Brennan
When you think "control," you probably see a big image of Counterspell in your head. But back in Legacy, there are other effective means of controlling the board without countering everything in sight. With the Legacy Champs looming, we'll see where control goes soon.
2) The Fourth Psychographic, by Daniel Rezendes
Johnny and Timmy and Spike - and Dave? Read up on this fourth group of players, the ones that don't play for the combos, the thrill, or the victories: The players who play to spite everyone else.
3) How Not To Scare Off N00BZ, by Nathan Fealko
So, you want to bring in new players? Good! Just don't start off by savagely pwning them with a tricked-out Fish deck. If you're not familiar with teaching Magic, check out this article for some valuable tips.
4) The Flashy Play: From TSP to * Infinity, by Frank Shaskus
When five just isn't enough, go for arbitrarily large numbers! Or just large numbers. And you can do this in the block constructed PTQs for Valencia!
5) Yin Yang and the Slide at the Great Wall, by Sean DeCoursey
What's black and white and green all over? A B/W control deck! Or a panda. Or a panda playing a B/W control deck. How much does the deck gain by splashing green, though? And why does no one know of the slide at the Great Wall of China?
Go back and read 'em again! You'll find them entertaining the second time, I hope, and it will refresh your memory for better voting. I must stress: Please do not vote unless you have read all five of these articles.
ALSO NOTE: Accounts with zero posts are not allowed to vote. With the new higher prize payouts, this rule will be very strictly enforced.
You have a week from this posting to vote.

"Sufficiently advanced experience is indistinguishable from clairvoyance." -Carsten
"Ah those eyes, those horrible creepy eyes!" -Chaosof99
DCI Level 3 Judge & TO "I do not consider myself a hero. I know only what the Vec teach:
justice must always be served and corruption must always be opposed."
Go read! I am one of the three authors of Cranial Insertion.
But seriously, if you can't remember "Woapalanne", just call me Eli.
I have to agree. At least two or three of the articles should have ten votes by now, judging by quality and previous voting rates. Mods? Can anything be done about this?

Smaller vote counts are bad. This needs fixing.
