hey there whats up ive never asked for help before with building decks, but i havent played magic for like 4 years and have recently gotten back into it. unfortunately i no longer have any of my old cards to i had to spend money like crazy and trade like crazy too to get the cards i have. now ive built a red deck dont really know what kind of deck it is with all the new stuff happening and features cards have. now i think its ok but i also believe it is lacking something so im hoping with your skill you might be able to help me get back into magic again
Welcome to the forums, but you might want to post that decklist in the appropriate deck-building forum. This section of the forums is just for introducing yourself.

Hey there! Welcome back to Magic, and to Salvation. And rather than just be an ass-hole and crow about how this should be in the T2 forum, I'll help you out!
It looks to me like a Sligh deck. If you don't know what that is, Sligh is a red deck that uses a bunch of small but effective creatures that can attack fast, combined with the use of alot of burn. Some call it Red Deck Wins, but I don't see the difference.
The other popular red deck right now is Ponza. Ponza is a deck that's based around land destruction; right now, even at the cost of your own lands. But there's ways of getting around it.
If you're wanting to build a Sligh/Red Deck Wins deck, I'd suggest the following cards:
After that choose whatever burn spells you find the most effective. Lava Spike , Magma Jet , and Glacial Ray are all good main deck spells. Electrostatic Bolt is a good sideboard card with artifacts being very dominant right now, and so is Flashfires since White Weenie is a force to be reckoned with.
Shrapnel Blast is a very good red burn card if you end-up with enough artifacts in your deck for using it. Keep in mind that competetively, or if you play by the DCI rules, the artifact lands from Mirrodin and Darksteel have all been banned (and for good reason). The other card I would suggest is Sensei's Divining Top, but never four, as it becomes dead-weight/useless in your hand when you get more than one in your hand or in play.
Now, if you're looking at Ponza, I would suggest the following cards:
Aether Vial is a key part of a Ponza deck (this is purely my opinion) as it helps you play out your creatures while annihilating your opponent's land. The creature base is basically the same as a Sligh/Red Deck Wins deck, minus Zo-Zu. I'm not sure how many people would agree with putting Talisman of Indulgence in, but it helps in keeping your mana flow consistant with losing some of your own lands to Akki Blizzard-Herder and Crack the Earth.
Well I hope this helped you out some! Stick around, in the next month Saviors of Kamigawa info will slowly begin to leak in, and maybe we'll end up with some cards that can help you further
BTW, I'm Xen, the founder of Salvation. Nice to meet you
If you're looking for a relatively cheep deck to make you might also consider running some kind of mono-g beats deck, you could propbably find something to replace the BoP's and do ok. You could even try a Goryo's Vengence deck which does ok, but since it's mostly made with what people call 'bad' rares you should be able to get it on the cheap.
