Well, at least we only need 15 votes now for a proposal to be accepted.
And I asked a question similar to Binary. A vote need 16 yes votes to be accepted. IF it doesn't get that, then it doesn't pass.
Once we start getting polls posted with the "Public Votes" option I wil be able to track who isn't voting. I fully intend to pester people who aren't participating to either start getting involved or drop out so that bills actually have a chance at passage.

I have a question about transmuting a rule, is it allowed to change the wording of a immutable rule while putting it to vote to transmute it to a mutable rule?

According to how nomic is usually played, that process takes two rounds of voting. Haven't had a chance to rules-lawyer over this basic ruleset, but I'd bet it's the same thing here.
NOTE: There is a reason Immutable rules are that way

If you're town and I'm mafia, you've already lost. You just don't know it yet.

This is what I expected. I had hoped otherwise, so that some drastic moves could be made.
Would a mutable, if worded correctly, be able to bypass this?

I would actually like to bring to the mods' attention that it might be unfeasible to only run one game of Nomic at a time. Some games have run for years with no end in sight, and I'd really like to be able to play in one (I missed the sign-ups for the first one by mere hours).

I believe YuanTi is planning a second Nomic. We want to let the first one go for a little bit just to see if there were any obvious problems with the initial set (and I definitely think there are some improvements to be made). I'm sure YuanTi will announce when/if he's ready.

Will players be allowed to play in more than one Nomic at a time? If someone has the dedication to play in one consistently, I don't see a far stretch to play in two.

There are currently no rules against it, although the moderator has the right to request that players in a specific nomic not participate in others at the same time.

while I'm not against people playing in multiple nomics at a time, I think it's better for next couple of nomics to not have any overlap as to be fair to those who couldn't get into the first and those who won't be able to get into the second one.

That makes sense. If there is less interest in the second Nomic however, I'll be more than willing to fill up some vacant spots. Something to keep my eyes on, because this game feels like the more time and experience the players have, the faster the game, the higher the quality.

Well, if poor activity keeps up, certain players could just be replaced with others who are more intent on playing the game, and we won't need a second.
There's an interesting question--is voting compulsory? Do we HAVE to vote on any given proposal?
There is nothing in the rules saying we have to vote. Though, the moderator has made it clear that non-participation will get you removed from the game.

Yuan-Ti and I have been discussing the rules for future nomics, and agree that specified penalties for non-participation will be in future initial rulesets. I'd prefer that people voluntarily step out if they're not going to be able to participate on a regular basis... changes such as transmuting immutable rules are actually impossible under current rules if even one person isn't voting.

Would someone be able to make a rule saying if u miss a vote your kicked out of the game(unless theres a problem approved by the mod)
I think that a better option would be a point penalty, with some kind of three strike rule mentioned above. The same should go for not posting a proposal as well. There are some more pressing issues that need to be addressed first, but this is something that needs to br dealt with in future rules.
If there are people out there that are signed up for Nomic #1, that don't want the daily commitment, they should rethink playing at all.

No, because immutables have higher rule numbers, and thus, take precedence.

Again, there is a reason that the Immutable rules are hard to change. Take this from a somewhat experienced Nomic player

@Binary: Say Belagreth doesn't post a proposal. Does he still get to roll?

Therefore, no. No proposal = no turn = no dice.
