The combust is pretty lousy, i'd suggest you to test tumble magnet instead.
Combust is a very narrow answer card too often imo it will be sitting dead in your hand when your opponent plays wurmcoil or baloth instead of baneslayer. Magnet deals with the baneslayer effectively just the same (if you can't win in 3 turns after it comes down you'll probably have a problem anyway) and can do many other nice things. For example it can do a double tap down for 1 turn if all you need is that last damage.
Magnet is also pretty awesome in the mirror as it taps down hell's thunders, hellsparks and ball lightnings 3 times, effectively making it something like a gain 10 life spell. With the mirror becoming more popular i'd say it's worth noting.
The stigma lasher seems quite a nice addition though, it is a proactive answer to finks, baneslayer and wurmcoil while also being able to beat through wall. I like it alot.
Yeah, I think I'll take out the combusts for something else.

I am currently testing this version of R/G aggro. It is kinda a hybrid of Jund and RDW. It has the Fauna Shaman/Demigod engine with Vengevine, but it also has the quick starts of RDW. It only runs Flame Javelin as burn, the reason for this is the fact that it can't be cascaded into by bloodbraid elf, and since it is the only non-creature card in the deck, bloodbraid is always guarunteed to hit a creature, which is important because it means that Bloodbraid elf always triggers Vengevine, which is the heart and soul of the deck. Anyway, here's the list:
R/G Vine Aggro
Creatures:
4 Goblin Guide
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Hellspark Elemental
4 Fauna Shaman
4 Boggart Ram-Gang
4 Vengevine
4 Bloodbraid Elf
4 Demigod of Revenge
Spells:
4 Flame Javelin
Lands:
10 Mountain
4 Copperline Gorge
4 Fire-lit Thicket
3 Raging Ravine
2 Rootbound Crag
1 Forest
Sideboard:
4 Volcanic Fallout
4 Great Sable Stag
4 ?
3 Stigma Lasher
The Birds are in there because I like having early accelerants in a deck like this. It's been nuts in testing. T1 Birds, T2 Shaman & Goblin Guide, T3 Discard demigod for demigod, T4 demigod. I might consider Vexing Shusher in the board for the Faeries/control matchup.
I really like this deck in testing against R/G scapeshift and Faeries so far. I will test against more as the week goes on. More results coming soon. I feel like the deck has potential.

I've built and tested this deck quite extensively since the beginning of the season. I really like it, however there are a few issues with it I could go into PM'd detail with you about if you're interested. I definitely don't consider my current list a "Red" deck so I don't feel it's right to discuss it in the Red Deck thread since it adds to... well, nothing for the majority here. As it was pointed out above Fauna Shaman/Vengevine isn't exactly... Red, haha.
It's a good deck for sure, however it is less all in and something more resembling Jund. The sideboard plan is also really awkward as we're trying to build around Cascade and Vengevine triggers which are the brunt of our offense.
Your Faeries match up is really really good as it is, there isn't any reason to stack the odds even more in your favor; focus on the bad ones like GW Trap, UW, and Tokens.
I'm curious as to why Blightning Beatdown is out, Blightning is good against everything but naya and thoughtseize is good against valakut, doom blade kills baneslayer and forge tender. it just seems like a good idea is all

IIRC RB was a different deck than Demigod Red in Lorwyn, it certainly played similarily but it was more disruptive than AIR. It was usually a Goblin Variant or some unearth build.
eh? what are you talking about? there was no all in red in that standard at that time at all, and blightning beat down was literally red deck wins with blightning and sometimes goblin outlander with terror in the board

That's what I'm talking about. I just remember it being called AIR for some reason, it was probably because a bunch of people confused it with the Demigod Deus AIR Extended deck back then. Regardless Red back in that standard block was different from RB.
EDIT: I R Dunce, you were talking about SOA-LOR >> ~cough, should clued in with BLIGHTNING @@~
Regardless, RB Beats was unearth disruption. Red was still... well, Red since most RB decks had a lot more options to fill slots with than straight Red at the time. In the end they were two different decks.

Yeah, I figured it's not really a red deck, i just posted it here instead of making a new thread. I'll probally keep 4 side cards against faeries here. I think Fallout would be better as it can be good against other decks.

any ideas for SB tech against valakut? and naya, seems like a really tough matchup
For ramp, a few lists have been boarding Tunnel Ignus. Which is probably fine against the scapeshift decks since their removal is either bolts or counterspells. The former, taking pressure off your other beat sticks and the latter being rubbish against you anyway. The Ignus may be good in these match ups but has zero to negative utility against other decks. Appropriate in some metagames perhaps.
For Naya, Arc Trail is rather good. You can usually 2 for 1 and worst case you're trading it for a Fauna Shaman. I also like the various Threatens against decks that bring in Obstinate Baloths. They're exceptionally well against creatures with 5 or more power as well. Creatures such as Demigod, Baneslayer, Sovereigns and the Titans.
Personally, I don't think that Geopede is very good in extended. We simply have much better 2-drops than T2 does.
The current meta is rather iffy, so I'm thinking a deck like Red might do well until Naya and Jund get their stuff together. I was thinking a list that's identical mb, but on the sb I have:
Not sure of what would go into the sideboard yet, but I think the bloodbraid has real potential. Just about everything you can flip has haste or will deal damage, so it is almost never a dead card.

does anyone think kuldotha could trump classic RDW? just curious if the standard deck mught be better than the extended in this case. If it does I think there might be a thing or 2 it could gain in extended. Jackal Familiar looks really good for that deck. especially since you have Gob Guide, Bushwhacker and 0 drop creatures.
on a side note, if I was going to splash G for BBE, I'd add VV as well.

What have you guys been bringing in against:
Jund
Naya
Faeries
U/g Scapeshift
4 & 5 CC
R/G scapeshift
Mythic
U/W
Tempered Steel
G/W little kid
etc.
I'm trying to figure out if Fallouts are just good enough for the main now. They seem to be pretty relevant in board states against the popular aggro decks like Jund and Naya. And a better game 1 against faeries can go a long way. Plus uncounterable way to clear out Vendilion cliques and Finks from the U/W and 4cc is decent sometimes.
Also trying to figure out where Stigma Lasher is worth it. Clearly against a deck with little board presence yet one that brings in Baloth is good (thinking of Scapeshift here). And since Jund can bring in both Baloth and Finks it gets the nod there. But against Naya, many times you're battling something like Forge-tender and their only lifegain is from the Collar. Plus Fallout looks increasingly good in that MU and Fallout is a little awkward when Lasher in on your board.
I really need better percentages against Naya and Jund. What's working for you guys?
I've been grinding this deck a lot on modo and I really like Arc Trail over Fallout.
I had too many awkward situation where they were on the play and the Fallout sat in my hand while Mythic went off with Hierarchs and Cobras and my Fallout was too late.
Conversely, Arc Trail has been an all-star, no negative interactions killing my 2/2 FOD or my Goblin Guides... against most opponents, you're only going to get a 2 for 1 anyways.
My buddy is going to be coming with me to an extended PTQ in the next couple weeks, and I am trying to piece together something that is easy to play for him to use, and I have most of the cards for this deck anyway so I was thinking it would be a good place to start.
This is just a first draft of the list, and I know my mana curve is in need of some balancing with all of the 3 drops in the deck. I am trying to keep it straightforward and simple, since I am building the deck for someone else to use.
the haste package ie GG, Hellspark, Thunder and Ball lightning are just awesome and define the deck without a doubt playing 4 of of each is without a question
Hell's Thunder is widely acknowledged as quite bad due to the faeries match up. Bitterblossom tokens make it's lack of trample quite terrible.
Figure of Destiny - was quite underperforming and I was not happy with the card in the deck, id rather change this for plated geopedes
If you think Figure of Destiny is under performing, it's because you're not playing it correctly. In all my testing, I have been nothing short of thrilled to have one on turn 1/2.
This is the build I've been testing. Both Dragonlord and Figure have been fantastic, and I've won many games on the back of a full leveled one of either.
Searing Blaze, Arc Trail, and Hellspark Elemental all give great card advantage, and Teetering Peeks also serves as Pseudo card advantage.
My sideboard is going to be some medley of Mark of Mutinys, Smash to Smithereens, Volcanic Fallouts, Magma Sprays, Stigma Lashers/Everlasting Torments, Relic of Progenitus, and Reverberate (Which has been surprisingly great for me at finishing games. Reverberate your Final Flame Javelin around their mana leak or cryptic, stop their counter tap by countering and tapping them down, allowing alpha strike, punishing an opponent for tapping down by bolting for 6.)
