It's not the best deck, it's not the only aggro deck, it just -is- the aggro deck. In your matchup, it will be the deck that is casting infinite creatures and swinging for obscene damage while you have no spells in hand to counter with. Ornithopter is a threat again, and now there are 7+ of them and some enter the battlefield with power.
So, what do you guys think about 2 duress and 2 Inquisition of Kozilek instead of thoughtseize in the list above? It's better against aggro, such as monored, BR, I think... But against Faeries and 4CC we aren't be able to remove with IoK one of the main our discard targets - Cryptic Command. Thoughtseize seems more reliable and universal.
And I have a question about Mox Opal number - so far I'm playing 2 of them, cause I hate seeing it twice a game. I know, that we have a really explosive start with Mox, but still...it's annoying to draw another Mox (unless you have thopter foundry in game).

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
You have a better aggro deck, you name it. Affinity was the premier aggro deck of Extended for a very long time, staying competitive while other aggro strategies did not stay competitive. There is no difference here as this deck can put the pressure, dump its hand on the table and force its opponent to dig up mass removal. Elves does the exact same thing, they run at similar speeds but this deck just has disruption instead of consistency.
That being said, I don't really think this deck has done much since Worlds. Someone will be playing it (like Doran) but chances are they will not top 8. They might, however, overwhelm you and take a match. I would rather know how to play against the deck than assume it will be a trivial match up, which is never safe.
This deck is the Allies of last Standard season. Its not really good, but its fast enough that it can take you down if you do not play it right.
Oh I don't know...jund maybe? Point is i've played this deck tons. I've been playing lots of decks tons. I love the possibilities new extended offers us but seriously, this deck sucks. It's not consistent enough, period. I LOVE every card in this deck. I want this deck to be the best deck, I swear. When I saw the results at worlds I flipped because it just didn't seem possible because I built a deck similar to it for casual and I thought it was horrible. Let me say this right now. WORLDS MEANT NOTHING. Those decklists were junk and no one knew what the hell they were doing.
The thing I love about this deck is that it can only get better with the upcoming two sets. This deck may be on to something but right now...it just sucks.
I don't understand why this deck is in competitive. It's just the worst.
It has placed well in more than one event and consistently shows up on MODO.
I don't think it's good, but it's a relevant and necessary part of any testing gauntlet because some people are going to play it when you go to a PTQ. If this forum were just limited to only the good decks, there would be maybe 3 threads here.

To be fair, pili-pala/grand architect combo is more playable than this deck
That is true I suppose. Like I said, the deck can only get better, so I'm interested to see where it goes. I've just wanted a great Non affinity artifact deck since...forever. Or even a deck that just utilizes lots of artifacts. EG: Kai Buddes '99 Champ deck.

Jund isn't an aggro deck. Its Midrange tempo. You win by winning the lottery.
No one is saying its a good deck. We're just saying that people are playing it.

The deck is already looking better. Out of the the 16 spoiled cards from Besieged, we already see two great cards. Master's Call gives us two 1(+x)/1(+x) tokens at Instant speed, which allows us to keep going post cluster☺☺☺☺ sweep, or just as a combat trick. You attack with your Titan into my 5/5 Master? *Evil laugh*
On top of that, we get a nice upgrade to Ornithopter in the form of Signal Pest. It has similar stats (completely useless on it's own) but for the low cost of one mana, we get a mini-Master, minus the big butt in exchange for evasion.

The reason you play orthinopter over vector asp is that it costs 0 mana. Saying that you'd replace orthiopter with a terrible looking 1 drop is foolish. Master's call looks bad too.

Okay, here's a challenge. Explain how the one mana difference matters so much that it makes Battle Cry bad.
How is Master's Call bad? When has a two for one ever been bad? I must have been hit on the head or something, because I distinctly remember Spectral Procession was good. I guess losing one creature for Instant speed makes it somehow unusable, and that Artifact type must be just terrible for this deck. Who needs to dodge Volcanic Fallout, Infest, or DoJ? I mean, who needs to play around hate, when we can rely on more solid things like luck.

I plan on running this at Atlanta on the 21st and 22nd and I have a few questions about the play (specifically about the side board).
Celestial Purge and Burrenton Forge-Tender I can see being sided in for Jund and Red burn decks. The rest of the side deck I can't seem to figure out what they cover. This is my first extended tournament, so I'm not too sure of the big plays out there.
Also what would be possible to take out in place of the sideboard cards?
Disfigure is for elves, Duress is for decks with mass removal(fallout/DoJ), Ethersworn Canonist is for Jund, Inquisition of Kozilek is for aggressive decks, Leonin Arbiter is for wargate, Thopter Foundry is for Monored/decks with lots of spot removal.
Please correct me if im wrong.
Okay, here's a challenge. Explain how the one mana difference matters so much that it makes Battle Cry bad.
First/second turn silliness with Springleaf Drum, mostly.
Still, I think the Battlecry mechanic in general might be worth looking at for this deck - it's rather weak without the namesake card in play, and Battlecry might be a bit of an offset to that. Or it might just be another Overseer - looks interesting, but too fragile. (In which case, maybe the Living Weapons should be looked at.)
Master's Call is really a Ranger of Eos which doesn't bring a 3/2 body BUT costs 1 less mana and has instant speed. I was never impressed by RoE in this deck though.
What I'd appreciate is a sideboard plan against the current gauntlet. Really hard to decide what to side out.
