Wargate is a combo-control deck. It combines $.10 Johnny rare Prismatic Omen with the ETB land trigger from Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. If you don't see the intersection, every land you play after your fifth deals at least three damage. Spoilers: your entire deck either puts lands into play or keeps you alive long enough to put more lands into play.
What's more, $.10 Timmy rare Wargate fetches both pieces of your combo, in case copious card draw and selection don't get you there and Scapeshift cannot be asked to find its way into a topdeck.
I personally like ponder because in hands which you don't have a omens or valakut, ponder digs you three cards deep or you can just shuffle if you don't like what you see, plus at one mana you can leave mana open for other plays.

I was looking at the last thread, and I'm certain that you should be playing See Beyond if you're packing maindeck leylines.
Or Vendilion Cliques.
You neeed some way of cycling a second redundant leyline, rather than just being stuck with it in your hand.
The main deck is very solid. The reason for the Leylines is because hand disruption is very strong against this deck, multiple Thoughtseize, Esper Charm, Blightning effects will cripple your development and make it very difficult for you to win.
Especially when combined with Tectonic Edge or other land destruction.
When you can protect yourself with Leyline especially against 4cc you leave them with the problem of not being able to use Vendilion Clique, Thoughseize, Identity Crisis, Esper Charm against you without "wasting" an esper charm or cryptic to destroy or bounce the leyline. This isn't really something they can afford to spend a turn doing especially if you've got counter magic back.
I think the best part of see beyond is the ability to hide a omen from a thoughtseize

Why is it bad to have more than one leyline in play versus faeries? In my experience they bounce with cryptic command at your EOT then hit you with a mistbind at your next upkeep, hopefully they dont chain more than one. They can afford to "waste" a CC on it because they knowits in your best interest to play it again, unless you want some more disruption headed your way.
Leyline shuts down many of your cards and its worth while for you to play it against so its likely that they would look at this as timewalking you as their faery token count goes up. Not to mention that when they bounce your leyline they are also more likely drawing a card to replace it. They arent losing any tempo, especially if they are following it up with mistbind.
Though the ptq list did not, Leyline is extremely powerful through testing. Faeries it does show up as good, but not nearly as good as against Jund.
Having dead cards is one thing, but dead cascades? It takes the matchup to a whole other level, and making them pulse a leyline so they can actually abuse their average cards is a very good thing, especially when you are gating and playing omens for the setup.
Also, how do you guys feel about Knight of the Reliquary, he grabs valakut and serves as a beater against the mirror, and is never really a dead card imo.

i've been testing ShipitHolla's primeval titan list and its been quite remarkable. i think it also won or t8'd a euro ptq..
its just got game so you don't die when your opp plays a leyline or strips out your omens...
ive also been testing a naya version of the omen deck with KOTR/BBE/etc... that I saw in the first MTGO ptq... its similarly been testing well as it doesn't just roll over to someone memoriciding your omens... and its doesnt have the problems of trying to get CC mana all the time.
another person in my playtest group has been testing out omen/Valakut in Jund and that too has been working well.
I just cant see myself playing the lists from worlds or GerryT's list at the moment as the field is all Fae and decks built to beat fae (jund and naya) so you have to have some way to interact or beat aggro without just hoping to combo out.
I agree with Adam I have been using 2x KotR and 1x Wurmcoil and it works very well, p-titan may be better though. So may list are aggressive with vengevines, bbelfs and what not, leylines just become dead after the first turn against mostof the field

but dont you find leyline to be a dead card if its not in your opener, i see the card is very good but at turn 4 or 3, i'd rather play cards that advance my game plan.

late game top deck Thoughtsieze is just as deadly as 1st turn Thoughtsieze. Leyline just has too much versatility against almost every deck in the metagame to be excluded from MD, yet alone sb. And just pretend you have 4 Leyline in your sb. Which matchups would you put it in? You'll find yourself siding it in a lot more then often.

Ive never seen Memoricide in any xtended decklist and YYsapporo played that Nayagate with no counters and KotR& BBE. That version looks sweet!

Seeing as how faeries are so popular, would vexing shusher be good for the board?
fae still packs disfigure, grasp of darkness, smother.......
So if you could get it into play with wilt-leaf or multiples in play i think it could be great. I know R/G valakut boards them. Otherwise you can always side guttural response.

dont forget about mistbind cliques, they are the REAL reason leylines are nice.
I could swear it won the german PTQ this past weekend but i cant find the results anywhere online.
when MODO comes back up, i think im going to test a few cloudthreshers out of the board for the fae matchup.
imho, if you don't have a first turn leyline, its a waste of a card as you will NEVER be able to cast it before it is either pulled from your hand, countered or you have better things to cast that ramp/win you the game.
ive fumbled with it in main deck and sideboard and the only reason its still in the board is for the mirror and 5cc.
I don't like Leyline... against Faeries, sometimes you have it and they just don't have discard, in which case you've basically mulliganed and they proceed to counter all your spells. Then if you ever draw it it's a dead card because they'll have already played all their discard. I think it is honestly best against the mirror. They have almost no outs if you maindeck it and draw it game 1, although games 2-3 it takes some fire from Qasali Pridemage/War Priest of Thune.
The top8 list from Virginia is interesting because of the 2 maindeck Scapeshifts. The card has its pros and cons, but I wonder why he didn't just settle for his Primeval Titans. They serve practically the same purpose, and it's not like he's packing Negates preboard to protect the 'shifts.

scapeshift is infinately better than Pimeval titan.
cheaper and more landfall.

I disagree. primeval titan is decent even when you dont have an omen in play and i have killed people a few times with titan + colonade beats. When you do have omen in play titan and scapeshift serve essentially the same purpose. titan makes up for its higher mana cost with more versatility and i think its worth it.
so is it a better idea to play p.titan to increase the threat density while removing leyline?
thats what i have been doing. leyline has been very underwhelming for me in the matchups its supposedly good against. you never ever want to draw it after your opening hand and its particularly bad in a deck that only wants to find a specific 8 cards.
im starting to come back around to leyline, played around 50 pre and post SB games vs. faeries last night 25 with p.titan and clique and 25 leyline. With p-titan i went 19-6 and with leyline 21-4. Leyline is just so good against them it blanks almost half of their deck, while p.titan turns on removal and allows discard and cliques.
