Hey extended folks. I'm looking into playing some Extended this coming season, and ideally, I'd like to be able to play my Standard deck with a few tweaks. Obviously the larger card pool in Extended gives me access to some higher power level cards than are currently legal in the Standard environment, so the plan is to sub in some of those for some of the less amazing cards in the current deck. My deck looks like this right now, and is completely Standard-ized:
I liked this deck in Shards-Zendikar standard but it seems much less potent in standard now now even with the addition of Genesis Wave. It might have extended potential, though...
Also, don't forget Wren's Run Vanquisher. She's absolutely awesome for any elf deck where she's legal in the format, definitely a must-run-as-a-4-of type of card.
If I were to play this my list would probably look something like:
I like that list, bovinity. Good call on the Wren's Run Vanquisher, that card is nuts. Is two-of Regal Force enough in a Fauna Shaman-less list? Seems like they wouldn't come up as often as you'd like without the critter tutor.
I played the deck last standard season too, and it's actually better now. Ezuri is amaaaazing.
Even if fauna shaman wasn't being run I wouldnt run more than 2 regal forces, risking getting flooded with them is more dangerous than not drawing them at all.
Though fauna shaman would definitely be nice in here. Not sure what I'd cut, probably heritage druid. You could run regal force as a 1-of if fauna shaman were included, too.

I have 2 decks right now, i call the first one WHITE POWER because it is a white dominant deck, and the other is MALE ELF ENHANCEMENT because it is all about getting my elfs increased attack! - Unknown
Wow, have none of you guys seen the power of Elves in extended? Its ridiculous. Its a pretty easy, consistent Emrakul turn 4-5 with as much mana as you want left over. I think adding one to the MB wouldn't be a bad idea at all. You'll need to run Primal Command as a 4 of, along with 4 Nettle Sentinal, 4 Heritage Druid (Never ever cut this. Its the most important card in the deck), and of course your Llanowar/Arbor elf stuff, and then Elvish Archdruid, Imperious Perfect, 2-3 Regal Force, Elvish Visionary, and maybe a Genesis Wave or two (just be careful how much you do it for). If it were me, this would be a rough list I would probably run

EDIT: Total cost of this list by the way is right around 50 bucks...
The problem with the combo version of elves that attempts to get ridiculous mana production is it's really vulnerable to disruption. It auto-loses to jund, doran, decks playing Day of Judgment, etc.
The reason elfdrazi is probably a superior build is that it has answers to removal, doesn't need to get a nettle sentinel/heritage druid online to be good, and can win in approximately the same time period as the combo-esque version you listed.

Which of these should I use, and what cards in the current list should I take out?

and it works well with Bramblewood Paragons, if any of you would consider...
