I dont have a board, as I am unsure of my local meta right now. I will, once I get one, up the FF count to two and lower the Shrapnel Blast to 3. So far, it has excellent pre board games against Zoo, Tron and a poor matchup against combo...
why aren't you people putting Ethersworn Canonist in your deck lists? that card is just too good in an affinity deck... same goes for Tezzeret.... 5/5 + counter bonuses Arcbound Ravager... YES PLEASE!!!

Both are acceptable (somewhat less so for Tezzeret) in Control-Affinity/Erayo, where you're trying to lock your opponent out of playing stuff and you basically have a Chant-Lock on your non-mirror opponent with Canonist/Erayo. In aggro-Affinity (the most oft discussed deck in this thread), both cards are slow, not free, one is off color and the other does little to progress the "aggro win fast" theme the deck has going for it.
Canonist works against Storm decks (I don't believe it does anything against BubbleHulk aside from preventing ritual usage) because they can't build up their titled-Storm count. That's its only major application against the format beyond Erayo Affinity.
Affinity needs to be dropping real threats turn two. Not cardsthat swing for only two, die easily, and require an off color of mana to play. You can put it in your bad Erayo version, but it should absolutely not be in regular affinity (except in the board, where it is fun against combo).

Hmm, reminds me of Pierre Canali's tech. But it will depend on the format, if control is heavy, he will be good, if there is an assload of removal, he won't matter.
Overall none of the newest cards will see play. With top being booted things get easier for affinity but I haven't been seeing any major changes (besides post-rot).
Edit: Oops, I keep forgetting the goblin king gives himself some extra boosts, I'll need to think a little to see if the normal decks would run him. He has his advantages over hoverguard.
-nexus could be replaced by glimervoid, adarker wastes, mistic gate or hallowed fountain
-nw this is just an idea so dnt get angry lol, i just think salvage titan has better early game: he can play turn 1, hes onli sacks 3 artifacts 4 a power of 6 as oappose to 5 wif ravager. this deck build excluding the ravager titan switch is faster thn normal due 2 extra 0 cost spells and sculpters (still testing sculpters may be hard to gt thm consistant bt thn agen playig a 3rd glimervoid would solve that
-o and when you guys are posting sideboards its gud that u explain thm but could you explain what u would take out for them and for which decks
-nexus could be replaced by glimervoid, adarker wastes, mistic gate or hallowed fountain
I have taken it to myself to replace Nexus, but simply with other artifact lands, not with something not very good like Glimmervoid, much less something that makes literally no sense like Mystic Gate (I replaced it because, imo, having 2 artifact lands is a lot more explosive than 1 artifact land and a blinkmoth).

It's terrible. Tell me, what happens when you Oxidize an Arcbound Ravager? Now compare that to what happens when you Oxidize a Salvage Titan.
u regenerate it.....or mannequin it
and glimmervoid is only useless because ravager sacks everything
u cant deny the powr of a turn t1 6/4 no matter how narrow minded u mite b, some1 on this thread said that this thread was boring because no1 had changed anything in the affinity decks in ages so i came up with this idea which is more of a budget idea.
and yea oxidizing alvage titan would be anoying but its just the same as oxidizing ravager.....iv had my affinity deck for years and never had my ravagers oxidized before i had sackd half my stuff. and titan has the ability to come back to ya hand Spelling and grammar. Last warning.

The reason little changes in Affinity is because it works and nothing new has been created to usurp or supplement any of the cards in Affinity aside from Springleaf Drum. Budget/non-competitive theme-based deck discussion belongs in Decks for Critique. Discussing/arguing for cards not in normal lists is perfectly fine with a supporting argument, but "I am building on a budget" does not a supporting argument make.
Mannequin? I don't know what to say in the face of a suggestion that bad. Also, at regenerating from Oxidize (or grudge, which can simply be used twice).
and glimmervoid is only useless because ravager sacks everything
In my Affinity decks, there usually some cards with the ability "Affinity for Artifacts". Not sure what that means, but it is probably relevant to the deck in some way.

Guess what kind of clock you are getting from that amazing turn one 6/4? If you answered "less than regular affinity WITHOUT any disruption by your opponent", you are correct (hint, it's a pretty easy creature to chump block).

What is up with the random Canonist hate? It's a one-sided rule of law that sacs to ravager, pumps affinity, taps for drum and carries plating. Lots of decks want to play more than one spell a turn besides Storm. Oh, it also removal magnets to protect ravager and other good cards. I'm completely confused by the lack of love for it. I think I'd play something like this:
The board is just some rough ideas, but you've got maindeck speed+disruption, which the last time I checked, was a pretty solid plan on winning magic games. With deed gone it seems ok to cut Darksteel Citadel, although I'm not 100% sure about that. The deck has 11 sources of each color, and only 7 blue and 4 white spells (plus four black if you count plating). If you wanted maindeck Shrap blasts I can think of a lot of better options to cut than the Canonists, which again, are completely one-sided and just sort of own face vs. significant numbers of decks in the format, at the very worst acting as removal magnets and protecting your other threats.
I want to start playing Affinity in Extended and have a question. A while ago most of the lists included Somber Hoverguard. Why aren't they used anymore?
I believe that Master of Etherium is better as a replacement for Myr Enforcer. I currently run 2 Somber Hoverguard so the deck has 6+ flyers, because enjoy handing off Cranial Plating to guys with evasion.

Myr Enforcer is 2-3 mana and sometimes/often free.
Master of Etherium is 3 mana almost always.
If you're looking for a non-artifact threat in this deck, Bitterblossom trumps both Tarmogoyf and Somber Hoverguard. By like, a retarded amount. 'Cause flying tokens+plating is you know, good stuff. And whatnot.

OH, incorrect.
The creature is targetted. The spell is countered due to lack of "target creature". It isnt an additional cost.
LKI is not used.
And even then, should this rule somehow not work (like in some alternate dimension), the card even specifies "a creature you control in play"...
