This is a bit different than Sadin's affinity which played tarmogoyf and springleaf drum, having an even better game against controls in general and Doran variations. The deck can pull itself in a normal aggro, playing turn one ornithopter, springleaf drum and frogmite, turn two cranial plating and ornithopter swinging for 6, turn three finish the game; or in a soft lock style, playing a consistent turn two flipped erayo, getting time against aggro and combo, and locking down control.
This deck can kill the opponent between the turns 3 to 6, in general. It doesn't fear kataki, which is very important, since glimmervoid and blinkmoth nexus can make your artifacts alive and tarmogoyf can swing for the win. also it doesn't fear doran, once you have 4 shrapnel blasts MD.
One of the different things about this version to others is the 3 sensei's dvining tops, which can help you in...well... everything! they can find a removal in the deck, can filter the draws from thoughtcast, can find the cobo pieces to flip erayo, find a tarmogoyf when a kataki is on the table... It's one of the most important cards of the deck.
The sideboard was originally desgined to play a game 2 like a countertop deck, but the idea wasn't good because the deck needed to hold a special deck: Ideal. You see, affinity decks doesn't have good matches agains Ideal, and this one isn't an exception (although it does pretty well against TEPS). So I had to board 3 cabal therapy, 3 meddling mages, and 2 gaddock teeg. The SB also have darkblasts, to kill annoying things like dark confidant, kataki, and grim lavamancer; Spell snare, tohold back tarmogoyfs, dark confidants, katakis, counterbalances, etc etc etc; and ancient grudge for the mirror, and to break some umezawa's jitte and swords.
I believe this card was discussed more than once in the Affinity Thread and pretty much unanimously considered to be too hit and miss to be effective. The Fatal Frenzy and Goyf versions both tend to be faster and more reliable....
Course, if you want to prove me wrong, I'd be more than happy to admit it, lol.

In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like to to occur and validate you.
I'm currently playing erayo affinity. But my build is u/b and has more control elements than yours (and no goyfs). The games have been pretty good, flipping erayo is not necessary to win. Originally I was using top and even counterbalance, the deck became too slow. My last comment is to not be pissed off if you lose to being color screw, which becomes a problem from my experience when using four-five colors in affinity.
I don't see why Affinity needs to have Erayo in it to improve it. Although Affinity is renowned for it's crazy plays, when I play Ravager Affinity I rarely find myself playing four or more spells a turn, especially after turn 1. Also, I don't see how the deck can consistently play turn two Erayo when you only have three maindeck, since it means that you have a slightly better than 1/3 chance of having Erayo in your opening hand. As Dragoonbot mentioned, colourscrew can seriously hinder you from playing Erayo; I play a full set of Drums and 2 Glimmervoids but still cannot count on getting the right mana all the time for my coloured spells.
you cant play noth erayo and goyf jsut like no list run both goyf and atog. Affinity deck have to play at least 44-45 artifact to function properly. Take ur artifact count.
The addition of Springleaf Drum has made it possible to run Erayo, I think, it just isn't the most effective way to use the Affinity build IMO

If you're going for the aggro affinity then I don't think Erayo is too big a help... though i've thought of using it post-rotation with Rule of Law. Hardlock ftw?
That's only ever applicable if you drop an Erayo and flip it, though. Affinity + Rule of Law = NO.
