Recently returned player ... so i am only really familiar with M12 to current ... or stuff from Antiquities and before ...
most of the time when they say extended i just stick with my standard deck and loose quickly ... but last time someone let me borrow the cards to try out a Tempered steel deck ... had fun with it ... so decided to build me my own extended deck for when it comes up again ...
gathered up about half the cards for a copy of the TS deck .. but still not for sure if it is what i really want to focus on ...
in Standard i normally play blue / white or artifacts ... using things like resto angel, cloudshift and similiar cards to try to control the game ... extended seems way to quick for a deck like that to work ...
so looking for suggestions of current extended format decks ... since most info i find is a bit dated ... and the key cards are either rotated out already or fixing to rotate out in a few months (IE not worth me putting money into them in my eyes)
i am open to most any deck kind .. from aggro to burn, and a little control though a full control deck i never grasp (still forget to use a counter when i am holding it in my hand doh)
To provide some advice I will break my suggestions up into two parts.
One you may find some regret in the fact that extended is mostly "dead" as a competitive format. Realistically, you may find it more cost effective to pursue a modern deck as it is an eternal format. You may want to look into the different formats besides standard by clicking around the forums and finding out info on the formats.
Otherwise, my second piece of advice on extended is that a lot of current extended decks are former standard decks. Therefore peruse the standard archives especially tempered steel for more information.

hmmm didn't think about going back further in standard to see what was used thanks.
in my area all there is that is being played is standard and extended ... and that is mostly at FNM (about the only time i play) ... i have read up on modern and would enjoy it .. but i do not see myself traveling anywhere else any time soon so just going to focus on what is available around me..
