My playgroup is having an Extended Pauper tournament. Only cards from Shards of Alara to Innostrad are allowed (excluding Archenemy and specialty sets like it), with only commons being allowed.
I was looking into building: Soul Siblings (Soul Warden, Blood Seeker etc), Blue-Black Discard Zombies, Black Vampires, Red-Green Landfall Burn, Green Glistener Elf (with some Red maybe), or Blue-White Control. I have never played any Pauper with these types of builds, so help would be nice. If anyone has ideas and opinions, or even decklists, I wouldn't mind hearing them. Thanks.
Countermagic is the smell before rain, the sun on the horizon and the chocolate chips in my mint chocolate chip ice cream. It's the first time I saw a woman naked and the first time I smelled perfume. It's that feeling you get when you know you're right.
But most of all; it's the feeling of playing Magic

I don't really know Extended that well, but I know Pauper. Burn and Mono-G infect are your best bets.

Yea, I was most likely going infect. A (pretty) consistent turn 2 win is always good.
I dunno if turn 2 is as consistent at all without Invigorate, but turn 3s are gonna be easy, and turn 2s will definitely be possible. Extended Pauper is weird though. I would also consider running Fae, since most of the deck will be legal. Losing Cloudpost might hurt it though.

Fae will not be legal since this is extended. Lorwyn just rotated out.
Blightning is probably one of the best cards in this kind of format. Maybe try something out with that.

Oh, did it just rotate? My bad. So yeah, Infect will probably be the best deck, maybe some White Weenie or Burn too. You can probably also run U/B control, which is fun as ****.

Turn two wins are the norm for the mono green deck, because now it has, Mutagenic Growth, Giant Growth, Titanic Growth, the Landfall one from Worldwake (I can't remember it's name), as well as anyother 1/2 CMC pumps. I can even splash red for Assault Strobe.

The vampire deck that I would make would have Blightning as well as Terminate. They are the only reasons I consider Red in a Vampire deck.

Do you have a decklist idea for the U/B control. I'm having a difficult time building a U/B deck that reliably wins. Unfortunately all the good mill cards are Uncommon [Hedron Crab, Mind Funeral], making Mill almost impossible. Counter/Discard is a neat deck, but does anyone know some good common finishers?

Guess more of that deck rotated than I thought. Definitely build Infect if you want to stomp.
I have two really good pauper decks taht win 1x1 90% percent of the time. However most my pauper decks tend to be done in a multiplayer format
My first and arguably the best would be U/G infect. Buff's galor + a brand new card from Dark Ascention, Artful Dodge. I built the blue/green pauper before Innistrad came out but it........its just amazing with the newer cards.
I can't say that I"ve gotten consistant turn 2 wins but I do tend to land several poison counters by turn 2. the most ever was 9. They usually scoop with a t2 9 poison count.
Then my RDW pauper runs really good. Its the only thing that can beat my U/G infect pauper. Burn works well. I put in a ton of creatuers with haste and blocker removal. then some creatures accumulate counters. I dont' remember the exact decklist.

I've also made over 95 bucks on this site since I started on 11/24/09. Give it a try!
