I'm going to be playing in an extended tourney at my high school pretty soon (21st) and my zombie deck is completely illegal. So this is my fallback. Please give me some critiques, I've never done this type of deck before...
It's a two headed ogre tourney and my partner is bringing the huge beaters. What are the problems with this deck? What are the drawbacks I need to watch for? Any help would be much appreciated...
You could start by using Stone Rain and Molten Rain instead of Demolish and Roiling Terrain. Ravnica duals + fetches (Stomping Ground, Arid Mesa) would help. What you have right now is a really bad Standard deck + Wort and Harmonize.
Edit: Just noticed the Pyromancer's Ascension. Either make every spell in your deck an instant or a sorcery or don't use the Ascension. Especially without blue search and filter, it's going to be too hard to activate.
either that, or run like 4 blood moon and 4 magus of the moon, along with bloodbraid elf and a massive amount of beatsticks. Kird ape, etc. make good early beaters to go along with the kablooey.
I'm definitely leaving roiling terrain in there. My friend used it as a win condition in his LD deck that he played and it fataled me time and again in conjunction with ascension.
I checked around and I can get ahold of a playset of stone rains. I can also get three Kird apes, but I wanted something more like Rumbling Slum or Verdant force (just some of the creatures I have that I'm thinking about). Also, I can get 2 goblin ruinblasters, and my meta does play a lot of Nonbasic lands, but I think it will be detrimental since it wont work with ascension or raidmother... thoughts?
then play magnivore, boom//bust, and the bloodbraid elf anyways. you'll get a very large win con with much more potenial...and lose the worts!! terrible card for this deck!

I saw people say it before, but it's worth saying again. Molten Rain is better than Roiling Terrain. You have elves, but LD spells that have double red. That is counter productive. I think that Roiling Terrain could be Avalanche Riders and you would do just fine. Creeping Mold might be an option. Instead of the elves, Birds of Paradise might be a better option. Fulminator Mage is another great option. If your partner is carrying the beaters that should leave you to focus on LD. As far as other ideas, Ghost Quarter would be good to eliminate ravinica duals, manlands, and the like. If you are looking to compliment your partner's deck, then try some board sweeping to control the board while he gets the beatsticks out.
