Bant won 2-1 against U/W Tron. The Bant player had troll equipped with Sword of Fire and Ice and rode it to victory. Also ripped into a lot of answers by means of bant charm and Venser for Triskilion and Grim Poppet.
yah that game was sick. i was rooting for tron after watching game 2. then game 3's opening hand for him was like 2x path 1x ee 1x signet 1x acadamy ruins another land and something. had tron been playing another color for ee, or bant drawn a warmonk instead of troll it would have been very different. but as is, bant layed a smack down pretty quickly. it was fun to watch, just wish i was piloting one of em.

1.) Anyone who thinks cancel is viable should be shot. in the face. with a hammer.
2.) You misunderstand, what I was suggesting was the total exclusion of Spellstutter Sprite, because it just isnt that good anymore.
3.) Understand, Dredge is not really a Magic: The Gathering deck. When a card is playable in it, it doesn't mean it's a tournament playable card. It means it's playable in whatever crazy fantasy world that Dredge operates in.
I gave the list to John Knapp, the second place finishing Tron player. It smashes Slide and Faeries, and Naya's a good match-up if they have access to less than 4 Hedge-Mage, and even with them it only makes it about an even match-up. Elves is also favorable, but TEPS is not (at least preboard. It's a pretty easy deck to sideboard for). Bant is the only real match-up that you have a real problem with, and that's mostly because of Teeg making it so you have to Path it and they can get you with their other guys. It's a great deck, and I gave it to about 4 people. John was the only one who trusted me enough to play it, and here we are.
Top 8 was:
2 Naya Zoo
1 TEPS
1 Elves
1 Bant
1 U/W Tron
1 Faeries
1 Astral Slide
U/W Tron ended up playing TEPS in the semis and Bant played Elves but I left before I could see what eventually won.
I personally went 5-2 with Naya Zoo.
