Album: - Band - followed by what I consider the most sorrow-ridden song(s)
"Upon the Right, I Saw a New Misery..." - Love Lost But Not Forgotten
"Nobody's Watching Department 23" - typically makes me want to end my life right then and there hahaha. The last minute of this song is what kills it so much... God what a depressing song. I can't relate to it, but he makes me feel like I can.
"As the Roots Undo" - Circle Takes the Square
"In the Nervous Light of Sunday" and "Interview at the Ruins" - the latter is by far the saddest song of the entire album, and the album title perfectly describes the feeling. The former song because I can relate personally, but yeah.
"Saltwater EP" - Pianos Become the Teeth
"Houses We Die In" - I can't relate to this song, and I really hope I don't have to for a very long time (about the keyboardists mom dying)
"Third Eye Blind" - Third Eye Blind
"Motorcycle Drive-By" and "God of Wine" - perfect album enders, I don't know why these songs werent singles for such a big band...
"Alive" by Pearl Jam.
"Holiday" by Unwritten Law..."Sometimes life can knock you down, just gotta pick your ass up off the ground..."
"Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin
When life has me down I prefer to listen to stuff that will help pull me out of my funk rather than stuff that feeds it. Anything that rocks hard is good too.

Shining (of Sweden) has some of the most depressive black metal you'll find if you want sad music. It's literally often called Suicidal black metal because of the lyrical themes, though the instrumentation is depressive too.

Major props to Zaphod and High~Light Studios for the sig!
A punk rock song won't ever change the world, but I can tell you about a couple that changed me
depends if you want to cheer up or wallow in your misery. I'm more of a wallow in the misery type of guy. Type-O Negative, Anathema, My Dying Bride...those are my go to choices.
But if I want to cheer up, it's Ween all the way. Throw on the Mullusk and smile.
Brand New - "Jesus". It makes me remember life sucks or has its sucky moments and I feel much better. I may wallow or mope but it's not every time.
Oozingly upbeat Christian/inspirational (as iTunes tags it) music isn't bad either for these times.
Getting sunshine or getting mad also help but, regarding the latter, I'm quite tired of getting or being mad (as well as of getting or being tired).
"Third Eye Blind" - Third Eye Blind
"Motorcycle Drive-By" and "God of Wine" - perfect album enders, I don't know why these songs werent singles for such a big band...
For such a commercial record, this was one of my guity pleasures for many years in college.
Atmosphere's "God Loves Ugly" got me through a breakup...
Elbow's "Seldom Seen Kid" is just mindblowingly good.
I've always enjoyed Simple Plan. No, I'm not emo, I just happen to enjoy a significant number of their songs, albeit not too seriously. I find it especially good to listen to their music, especially Shut Up or You Don't Mean Anything, when reading a MtG flavor article these days not penned by Jenna Helland.

The franchise MtG most resembles is Battlestar Galactica. Why? Its players exist in, at most, a dozen different models at any given point in time, with perhaps up to 3% variation, 5% if you're lucky.

Legacy love.
I don't truly have a reference for a suicide day would be, so I'm probably talking out of a non-mouth orifice.
