*Kenny dies*
Cartman: Oh my god! They killed Kenny!
*Kyle walks up out of nowhere*
Kyle: You basterds!
That actually has a double meaning. Kyle and Stan were pissed at Cartman and Kenny because their treehouse was a blast. So, when Kyle passes by and calls "You bastards", he's actually referring to everyone on the treehouse, not the ones who killed Kenny (he has no idea Kenny's dead at this point).
Special Numero Uno: Beavis & Butthead. Yeah, I may as well rate this one higher than the rest, cause this is just too damn funny to pass up. If this doesn't count, refer to 1.5. Favorite episode: Would be all of them, but I love "Butt Flambe" the most. "My butt hurts!"
Interesting note, the creators of Beavis and Butthead attended both my Middle School and my Highschool.
I am really quite excited about Futurama coming back as I really didn't watch much of it when it first came out. What I did see I liked, but it should be fun to catch up and see everything I missed.

Do threads in this forum ever not get hijacked by the magical invisible hand of the market guys?
While I have enjoyed all of the shows above, I have enjoyed none more than Futurama. It feels no need to dumb down the jokes as Family Guy and American Dad do on occasion. It has a much geekier sense of humor than the Simpsons. It some episodes it is as satirical as South Park without all of the crude humor. Plus, it is the one with an ongoing story and love interests. And the only one that has made me tear up on several occasions. Fry's persistantce in persuing Leela is heartbreaking, and everytime you think she is about to respond something intervenes. Yet Fry, and the series in general, always remains optimistic about Fry's chances with Leela. I am very curious what is going to happen between them once they bring the show back seeing as how at the very end of the last episode Leela softened even more towards Fry.
While I used to dislike American Dad, I think that it has come into its own in the last several episoded. It has recently been the one that I have enjoyed watching the most on a Sunday night. It is nothing compared to The Simpsons at their prime, but I feel that, while still enjoyable, they have passed thier peak.
Family Guy has a wonderful sense of random humor, but is not as witty as either The Simpsons or Futurama.
South Park has some of the most wonderful, cruel episodes, but also some very dull ones. Very hit and miss for me.
I would probably say in this order:
Futurama
The Simpsons (early seasons)
American Dad (this season)
The Simpsons (later seasons)
Family Guy
South Park
American Dad (First Season)
A lot are close, but Family Guy comes in first for me. Its punch-you-in-the-face humor is just the most spontanious and hilarious on TV that I've ever seen. It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud at anything, whether it's on TV or online or whatever. But Family Guy does this on a regular basis. Like one of the newest episodes where the family is attending an air show, and the crowd gets super excited every time a plan is about to crash, only to sigh in disappointment when they pull out of the dive. After doing a lot of spectacular stunts, the pilot gets out, gets stabbed by a random guy, and the crowd applauds like crazy. Insanely funny.
2nd place is South Park, which is hilarious on a consistant basis now that they're tackling real issues and making fun of celebrities. 3rd place comes the Simpsons, which somehow finds a way to be funny after 18 seasons. Next is Futurama, which can be very clever, but not as laugh-out-loud funny as the shows I like more than it. Coming in Dead Last is American Dad, a pathetic attempt to push the envelope of stereotyping Americans. It seems like the show is trying to be as un-patriotic as possible.
The last point I wanna make is that these types of shows usually always get better with age; they're funniest in their latest seasons. Family Guy's jokes are more abrupt and sudden, South Park has stopped making jokes about farts (for the most part) and are now making fun of Scientology, and The Simpsons and Futurama's later seasons are much funnier than the ones that come before them.
The funniest part in family guy: (however you need to see it to laugh)
Peter: Quick, brian, put up this horse costume.
Brian: Umm why?
Peter: Because I want to bale Lois on the physicals.
Brian: Okay..
*Peter and brian inside a horse costume walk across Lois to the door*
Peter: Lois, I'm going to my physicals.
Lois: Okay, peter.
*Later in the car*
*Quiet*
Brian: Hell, I'll just ask it. Why did we need the costume for?
Family Guy and South Park are the only shows that can actually make me laugh. Simpsons is bland now, Futurama is fun to watch as a slightly edgier Simpsons, and American Dad is alright, but nothing special. I also miss Malcolm in the Middle, as that was a great show.
Futurama > all other listed choices. It's more interesting because the show's parameters are much easier than Simpsons or Family Guy, because it's set in the future and all. That allows it, in my opinion, to be more crazy without being dumb.
yeah, I don't watch Tv that much, so if something is happening, I generally won't know about it. ("Student for life") But that's kool that Futurama is coming back. Still, I'd prefer Family Guy. And Fry is the "homer" character in Futurama, though Fry, unlike Homer, has more of the classical "heroe" qualities.
Hmm many people default and say American Dad is like Family guy. But I don't think it's this simple.
American dad is probably most like Family guy, in that it's humor is very topical and fast paced, but it's much more of a political satire than the other shows. I guess that Southpark can have a bit of political satire, but American Dad focuses on it much more.
i voted for family guy but i think they all get honorable mentions. except american dad. it's pretty funny sometimes, but i hardly ever watch it. futurama and south park are both excellent shows and simpsons will forever be a classic. family guy is just too funny tho. my favorites are when stewie gets drunk or when he and brian have the "buddy comedy" skits. those are awesome.
Kyle: You basterds!
I love it when Kenny dies in the mosh pit of his and Cartman's treehouse.
*Kenny dies*

So, nobody report this post! If any mods read this, please don't issue any infraction/warning for it, thank you.

And i like my satire best. South Park.
But where the hell is Harvey Birdman? :xd:
As for the poll question, my heart belongs to Futurama. Party on, Slurms!
