So I played my 10 placement matches and was moving 30-ish elo each time. But then on the eleventh game I gain 33 elo. I thought the numbers went down after the first ten. Sorry, its been a while so I can't remember.
It goes down over time, usually around 20-30 matches it normalizes. Generally you will have huge swings until you play that many matches, and in statistics 30 is a magic number for "infinity" almost.
As for why you got 33, they may have been favored to win?
99% of the female champions in LoL are ridiculously sexualized though, whereas barely any male champions are. It is frankly embarrassing.
I would actually disagree with this significantly. In my opinion Riot has done a great job of showing that the female form can be absolutely beautiful in a variety of ways. Be it in it's adorable infancy(Annie), in a cute childish/tomboyish and playful manor(Lulu/Tristana), flat out Tom boys being gorgious(Riven/Irelia/Sej/Vayne/Fiora/Diana) they even show how beautiful it can be when attached to something non-human(Cassiopeia/Ahri/Zyra/Nami/Elise/Shyvana.) They also create the picture of women in authority, or women with power being beautiful in their own right(Katarina/Syndra/Karma.)
Now I'll admit there are some that do go a bit to far, Morgana's new splash art, MF's new splash art, Elise bouncing breasts while she was sitting down in the loading screen. While there are some aspect where they do push the sexualization in general I can't agree that the majority of female champs in this game are portrayed in a way that is overly sexualized.
Also if you want to talk about males being objectified in LoL you gotta be kidding me, at least if we are going by similiar standards to how they say women are sexualized. Think about the males in LoL. You have those like Tryn/Darius/Olaf/Garen/Graves/Panth/etc etc that all show pretty much 1 thing about men. Big muscles and a rugged tough guy look. They are all made to show men as strong and powerful men. Sure there are a few like Gragus/Ezreal/Vlad who kinda go against it but to say that hardly any men champs in the game get sexualized is rather silly, at least by the definition people used to say the women are sexualized in the game.
Little mermaid, part of that world parody. Gimme cookie >
Who they sexualise doesn't change the fact that it is sexualised. While 99% is clearly an exaggeration, the majority of the female champs, in their splash art at least, are sexualised unnecessarily. The only ones who genuinely aren't are the yordles and Annie, for obvious reasons. Ashe and Katarina, while they may be great females in the lore, do not need to be baring their midriffs like it's going out of fashion.
I'm not going to say the guys aren't, but there is more variation, at least. Gragas, for example. Many of the mages also aren't that tough-looking and fitting into that stereotype muscley guy look. Also, there's the fact that they're supposed to be muscley and tough because they're all damn warriors who swing around weapons twice their size. That's how they're supposed to look. That's technically how half the females are also supposed to look, but most of them don't (with a few exceptions, of course; Riven and Leona come to mind immediately)
(@SacredMesa) You're kidding me, right? The only ones that don't have some form of bikini armour, very prominent breasts, and the like are the child Annie and the yordles. There are a few skins for people like Leona and Akali that aren't too bad but everything else is ridiculous. I don't have access to every splash art in the game right now though or else I'd actually go through them all.
Even most of the males that /could/ be sexualized are hidden by ridiculous armour that hides inhuman body proportions like Darius.

Just as you're saying there is variation among the men, there definitely is among the women as well.

A list of female champs/skins that are not sexualized
Dynasty Ahri(i personally don't think Firefox and Classic are overly sexualized either)
Stinger, Bloodmoon, Silverfang Akali
Classic(in the splash at least) and Queen Ashe(Woad Ashe is up for debate)
Resistence and Artic Warfare Caitlyn(Classic up for debate)
Classic Diana
All Fiora skins except for Headmisstress(which was kind of the point)
All the Irelia skins(classic is up for debate and Frostblade as some strange butt issues)
Karma
Kayle
Wicked Leblanc
Leona
Lux
Orianna
Riven except for Battle Bunny
Soraka
justicar syndra
Vayne and half her skins
So I would definitely say the majority aren't bad. More the problem is that the main offenders are extraordinarily bad(Sona, MF, Katarina, Morgana)
I forgot about Kayle, don't remember her having a bad skin. The vast majority of the ones you listed are actually still bad, but I'm really not interested in debating the finer points of sexualization further.
Alright lets look at the champs actually using Bikini armor in their original splash arts...
Sivir
Eve
Janna
Nidalee
Elise
Sivir is a mercenary and has the whole Xena feel to her, Janna reflects a very free spirited woman matching her affinity for air, Nid is a freaking wild woman raised by Cougars, and Eve I can give you as overly sexualized as she seems to have the whole dominatrix thing going for her.
Elise by design I wouldn't give you overly sexualized at first. When they did the whole breasts bouncing at the load in screen while she was sitting down was when I had to agree they went a bit to far with it.
Now those that show mid-drift
Morgana
Miss Fortune
Katarina
Cassiopeia
Zyra
Shyvana
One is a fallen angel who frankly I'm not surprised wasn't more sexualized since normally fallen angels get the whole "drowning in sin and depravity" treatment. Cass, Zyra and Shyv are freaking plans/animal/mythical creatures and half humans, of all of them only Cassiopeia's splash art depicts her as anything resembling approachable which would fit with her lore as a woman who seduced men to reveal their secrets until she was cursed.
Miss Fortune has had the whole sassy girl thing going for her, and was built as part of her character. Her being sexualized isn't surprising.
Hell I'll even give you Katarina's mid-drift as sexualization.
All that said I'm sorry but I don't see showing mid-drift as over sexualization.
Ashe and Katarina, while they may be great females in the lore, do not need to be baring their midriffs like it's going out of fashion.
Recheck Ashe's splash art her mid-drift is wrapped in a white cloth, if you look at her Freljord splash-art the cloth is gold. In none of Ashe's skins is she showing mid-drift.
Now let's look at female champs who are not showing even mid-drift and not Yordles...
Now of those the only ones who really shows a lot of cleavage would be
Ahri--A half-fox woman who increased her powers by seducing men and stealing their souls, IE design fits lore.
Sona--I'll give you.
So whats the issue? In the majority of female champs the sexualization serves a purpose in terms of the champions lore, and skill set. There are a select few but it is no where near as bad as you want to believe.
Shall we compare the men?
Shirtless showing a 6 pack...
Tryn
Lee Sin
Ryze
Malphite
Alistar
Sion
Mundo
Varus
Um let's see Try makes sense he's a barbarian, and Sion more or less a zombie warrior as well as even Ali and Malphite with their whole nature/cow/rock thing but why is Varus, an archer, Mundo, an out of control scientists addicted to studing pain, Ryze a mage addicted to arcane learning, and Lee Sin a blind monk all bearing their chests?
Most archers I've seen generally have a shirt on because having the bow and strap from your quiver rubbing against your skin tends to dig in after a while.
Mundo I guess I can give a whole hulk effect in the end.
What mage determined to master the arcane ways runs around shirtless showing off his beefy self? Last a checked the general view of them was a fully robed guy holding a scepter or staff of some type.
Shirtless monk why? Most monks seen generally have some kind of Karate suit on or some other light outfit. They don't go around shirtless in the rain just because they can.
Now let's look at those who are showing as muscle bound tough guys...
Garen
Darius
Nasus
Shen
Udyr
Pantheon
Olaf
Xin Zhao
Gangplank
Jarvan
Malzahar
Graves
Um if you haven't noticed the list of guys is already longer than the list of women. Sure though I'll give you the whole "gotta have muscles so they can blah blah blah."
If this is the case though why does Shen got a gun show going on? Last a checked Ninja's favored speed over strength and wouldn't be being all muscled up. Malzahar the mage guy who sits back and cast also has a deck out set of guns. Gangplank as well got some big muscles going on and last I checked a lot of pirates where not really decked out, even in modern day pirates don't portray big muscle guys, and yet here it is in LoL.
I could go on but I don't think I need to I already know that no matter how much of this I point out you are going to give the same response "no your wrong see look at the boobies." It's pretty comical to me that the people who seem to be focusing on the parts of the female body most objectifed are the people who are supposedly trying to speak out against such objectification.
Alright so my Cassiopeia is still undefeated on the new TT and I only had to carry a Jax that fed an Ezreal 9 kills and never team fought with us to do it >.<
So I noticed today that when I ask people not to give me honorable opponent at the end, I believe I get more of them. Damn.
You're showing humility, a trait that is comparatively rare compared to people who are arrogant blowhards who believe that their team is beneath them, their current ELO doesn't really reflect their play abilities, and their loss rests entirely on a few people besides themselves who cost them the game.
Apologies, contrition, and realizing that you made mistakes in the game aren't common and showing a glimmer of humanity, when we're all too often surrounded by faceless trolls, raging griefers, and wannabe pros is noteworthy and well, worth two seconds to click on the green button for "honorable opponent", especially when there are SO many more people who end the game with "honorz plz. My team is awful noob feeders. Give me honor."
Usually people give me honors when I goes like 8/0/0 as adc in under 15 minutes and enemy surrender at 20 in a ranked game, they will say like "omg u carry 2 hard rep x3", I didn't even ask them to honour me they just hand to me randomly.
I dont really care about honor's really, all I care is elo and gameplay thats all.
You're showing humility, a trait that is comparatively rare compared to people who are arrogant blowhards who believe that their team is beneath them, their current ELO doesn't really reflect their play abilities, and their loss rests entirely on a few people besides themselves who cost them the game.
Nah I'm actually just pasting a pre-copied "Please don't give me honorable opponent, I want a different badge" in every post-game lobby. I want that sweet rare green teamwork badge.
So in the few days I've been playing again, the community seems a lot better than before, I have no idea if it actually is or not but it's nice. On the other hand, I've had ridiculous problems with lag to offset the pleasantness...
Lulu is only good if your AD is on the same page as you, this is coming from someone who is in love with Lulu... I bought her Dragon Trainer skin and she's the only champion I own two skins for. She's just been nerfed so much.
Which is why I jungle her half the time in my saga of troll junglers that get me wins.
Slap a shyvanna rune/mastery setup on her and she's a decent jungle with pretty annoying ganks.
Slap an ap carry page on her and she's an annoying mid.
Or you could play her support, but that's boring.
Other troll junglers I've done well with:
Graves: His passive is actually pretty good and his q lets him clear camps quickly. He has red dependent ganks though. He's probably a good idea if you have a troll bot trying bruiser kill lane. Use a typical ad jungler setup like lee sin.
Gragas: He actually has mediocre first clear but good subsequent clears and decent sustain. Ganks are decent and good once he hits 6. Play him with an ap setup like mao or a tankish setup like sej.
Soraka: vunerable to counterjungle at blue, basically hard as hell to kill after. her lack of cc is a turnoff but her q does do alot of aoe. Play her with ap jungle setup and you'll do alright with some help at blue.
So after hearing a bit about the new jungle I would advise people to learn how to jungle jax for season 3. If they really give it a gold boost enough to effectively farm the jungle he'll be top tier, his biggest weakness atm is his slow pre-6jungle time. His e would be very strong.
Besides that I would be glad to see champs like ww viable junglers again even at the cost of making my shy a little less viable.
Edit: That new jungle looks like ****, buff to all monsters without a buff to gold or ep? Junglers already depend on getting kills or creeps from lanes to keep up with solo lanes.

While I haven't seen the numbers or the exact changes, I understand the reasons for the change. Right now the jungle is pretty bad. It revolves around getting early pressure (which isn't always a bad thing, seeing as they like aggressive play vs passive) but when it gets down to a level 2 tower dive, and not having much of a chance for the enemy jungle to catch up, change is needed. I do feel that junglers, in general, fall behind pretty easily.
I'm definitely looking forward to the patch. I'd like to see the changes and see how well people react to them.
I'm trying to break my teams bad habit of "I'm not ending on that one" mindset. They (we) lose one game hard and feel that if we do just one more game we can turn around and end on a high note for the night. It rarely works out and people end up going on tilt and getting more and more frustrated about little mistakes that transition into larger ones that end up costing us the game. Do you guys have any tips/tricks/ideas on how to break that habit and/or avoiding tilt in general (while keeping the competitive mindset)?

I'm normally on most nights between 6pm-whenever.
i think Caitlyn is a troll pick and honestly has always been. Everything she does at least 6 other carries do better and they don't have unreliable ultimates either.
No steroid. Completely falls of after lane phase so if you don't win your lane you have a high chance of losing the game. Ultimate supresses her for 3 seconds, easy to block. Her Q is a DPS loss.
She gives up all that just for 50 more range over Ashe ?

Which one has better early game AA range and which one has a better unblockable skillshot at long range?
She's definitely underpowered right now but what you're saying is a bit ridiculous. For one, she was quite strong for a brief period.
Her ultimate is also reliable in many circumstances. If you don't use it stupidly it's 100% reliable - the same as the other ultimates. Actually, perhaps even better, because flash ****s up nearly every ADC ultimate but not hers.
I'm not going to argue that her ult is powerful, but reliable is the one thing it IS (on top of long range). Situational =/= unreliable. Or else graves' ult is unreliable because you can't use it when someone is blocking from afar, or when they have a quick escape ready. Kog's ult is unreliable when they aren't rooted. Ashe's is unreliable when they aren't rooted, close, blind to you or at least moving parallel to its direction. Draven's is unreliable with a quick escape, or when they can see you, etc.
She gives up all that just for 50 more range over Ashe ?
You say that like it's not significant. Range is arguably the very most important thing for an ADC to have in farming, teamfighting AND 1v1.

The problem is nerfing the jungle isn't the answer. Junglers need an effective source of gold to be able to farm to play catchup. By buffing the monsters but not returns all you accomplish is making gank centric junglers the ONLY option and completly destroying farm and counterjunglers.

You say that like it's not significant. Range is arguably the very most important thing for an ADC to have in farming, teamfighting AND 1v1.
Watch Doublelift play her and say that again.
The problem is nerfing the jungle isn't the answer. Junglers need an effective source of gold to be able to farm to play catchup. By buffing the monsters but not returns all you accomplish is making gank centric junglers the ONLY option and completly destroying farm and counterjunglers.
