Here is the only rule: the RPG must have been at least on the last generation of systems or older, with no plans for a new game in the works.
For example: I would love to see a rerelease of Crystalis from the NES. If you aren't familiar with the game, its a basic top down style game ala Legend of Zelda. As you progressed through the game you picked up swords of each element which you could power for special attacks and uses outside of combat. The only drawback is that the game doesnt always give you a clear sense of direction, but that was rather common for games at that time.
Aside from this i would like to see FF6 remastered and reworked like they did with FF4 for the DS (obviously i would prefer it on the PS3 for more gaming eye candy, as well as a fully sung opera with lyrics and multiple voiced tracks for the options)
7th Saga.

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange eons even death may die.
Fallout 2 with the fallout restoration mod. This is the greatest rpg ever created. It's an RPG in the truest sense. Character creation, actual choices and consequence that really matter. Has awesome references to the 50s. You can beat the entire game by being a negotiator or you can just kill everything in sight (even children). Everyone should play this game and everyone's PC can handle it considering the game is over a decade old.

Me too. I want FF6 on a blu-ray disc with loss-less audio just because of it's music.
Wild Arms 2 was terrible in comparison to its predecessor imo.
I actually didn't like Wild Arms that much. I found it to be too much of a Wild West Final Fantasy copy-cat for the most part, while Wild Arms 2 was like a cross between Zelda and Final Fantasy set in a Wild West World.

srsly?! stop comparing everything to Final Fantasy...
I've enjoyed most of the Wild Arms games, except Wild ARMs 4- that game sucked. I need to finish Wild Arms 5...
seeing Wild ARMS 2 revamped would be awesome since Wild ARMs got the "Alter Code F" edition... but i haven't heard anything about Media.Vision even making another game.
I'd love to see Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, and Vagrant Story revamped.

I would give a lot to see Golden Sun 1 and 2 redone on the DS or, for ultimate pants-creaming goodness, on an actual disc system and fully done.
Xenosaga's another one I"d love to see get a full redo. And actually make a second game, because there's this weird gap between 1 and 3 that I never understood.
Evolution as well. The Gamecube one was just a truncated version of the game, and that's just upsetting. Even just a rerelease on the 3DS (it could TOTALLY run it) would be fantastic.

I disagree, the recent DS game was a chore, the generic DS RPG blocky figures did not live up to the fantastic art style of the originals (with the exception of the great looking summons). I'd like to see the two games released together with a hand-drawn art style, or something similar to the recent Zelda game.
I would like to see Tales of Phantasia rereleased in a good format, the GBA release really screwed up the pacing of the combat, and it has a great story, with a twist I didn't expect.
I would also like to see Final Fantasy Legend (SaGa) rereleased in a real format. The game was fantastic for its time, and the full customization of party members was great. A more user-friendly interface would made it perfect. The premise is great, and the visuals of the four main overworlds (Medieval, Tropical Islands, Fantasy Cloud Cities and Post-Apocalyptic Future) would look fantastic if done well.
Aside from the Earthbound/Mother series (though with a new innovative art style, not just the simplistic characters released in 3D).
I would also love a decent Metroid: Other M. For anything good that game had it was ruined by the plot and some of the controls. With a little better development it would be great to have a 3D person Metroid - Particularly Metroid 2: Return of Samus. EDIT: Not really an RPG but adventure games blur the line sometimes.
And Lufia II. Or maybe just the Ancient Cave released as its own downloadable game with updated graphics.
Azure's dreams. They could rerelease the old version or updated it and I would be happy. Add some levels and some new monsters and I would be a happy camper.

Nethack, with better graphics and interface, even 16-bit snes era graphics. I doubt this will happen though.

Also because I would love to see Ashley in his Lord Blazer form mowing down enemies in HD, so I guess I would like the graphics redone and revamped.

There is no excuse Nintendo. None.
Or, hey, how about released at all? Mother 3 anybody?

Id like to see Panzer Dragoon Saga re-released in some form. That thing is like friggin $200.
Dragonstomper for the Atari 2600 Supercharger would be a good one too because of it's combination of historical significance and extreme obscurity.

Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, FF2 AND FF3 the U.S versions.. (and no I don't want to hear this crap about ff6 and so on. )
If it is just about re-released these old games, /boring, I can bring up my snes from the basement and play them anytime.

This is an excellent choice. I'd especially like to see both parts of 7 redone.
