Why is it that we're not talking about 2009's Game of the Year*?
It's not only the best game this year, it's probably the best game I've played in many, many years. Rock Band may be like my video game equivalent of a steady (if a little staid) girlfriend, but Among Thieves is like that torrid slampiece that you have a wild couple week with that you remember with a grin years later.
Absolutely everything about the game is spectacular. It's like playing a living, breathing movie complete with exceptional story and characters, organic, engaging dialogue and, of course, intense action that you want to relive again and again.
The more I think about it, the more I think games like this are what video games were always meant to be.

I definitely plan on checking it out, I enjoyed the first game. I asked for it for Christmas, but if I don't get it I'll probably just rent it, and buy it once it drops down to budget price ($20-30). Multiplayer just isn't a draw for me.
I played the first game recently, it was ok but I wasn't as blown away as everyone seemed to be. I'm also probably gonna get this once the price goes down a bit, just to see what all the raving is all about. Right now though I'm not really having a shortage of games to play
I too was wondering why nobody has been talking about this game.
Uncharted 2 is not only my favorite game of the year but my favorite PS3 game thus far. It has top notch voice acting, storytelling, production value and most of all gameplay. The characters are amazingly believable, the game is a blast to play and the graphics are incredible. I completely agree with those who say it feels like you are playing a summer blockbuster movie.
The only console I own is a PS3 and with games like Uncharted 2, I don't feel the need to purchase either of the other consoles.
I think some people don't understand that the Mirrans are the bad guys. Arcbound Ravager is Mirran. Phyrexia are the good guys coming in to conquer an evil, evil world.
