IxidorVersionTwo, give Ring of Honor a try if you haven't already done so. Better wrestling, better characters, better storylines. They have one of the best tag teams going today, the Briscoe Brothers. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson is an amazing technical wrestler that you'll never see in TNA or WWE because he specializes in 20+ minute clinic matches.
I discovered ROH a few years back when I noticed that all the guys I liked in TNA (Low Ki, Daniels, AJ, Abyss, CM Punk) had all worked for Ring of Honor also. Since ROH isn't on TV, they don't have to tailor their matches to TV time, and they don't have some pinhead executive telling them to hire decrepit former WWE stars because "the fans will recognize the name and tune in to see them."
Yeah, I've heard of R.O.H. for at least 3-5 years now, even back when Jeff Hardy did some match(es) there and they were chanting Matt's name instead. I've never seen it though. Thanks to the beauty of the internet, I'll see if I can find some stuff on Youtube or somewhere. Thanks.

Jeff did one match, and he got booed out of the building. It was pretty damned funny.
Matt Hardy did a few matches when he was supposedly fired from WWE and he had a decent run.
ROH has plenty of video wire reports on YouTube, and they have a PPV every few months that costs about $10-$15. The first one won over a lot of new fans for the company.

is it me or does randy orton beat up a lot of old men. heh.
The legend killer??? I'd like to see him go a round with Jake (the snake) Roberts back when he was in his prime. What about HHH and King Booker (Booger as my wife calls him)? That's a dead give away that H is going to win.
yeah all he does is beat up the old stars who are like 1000 miles past there prime. not impressive at all. they just kept showing clips tonight on raw thats what got me thinking about this. it just made him look pathetic.
too bad orton was not in WCW before mr. McMahon bought it. There were plenty of old me to beat up there. it was not called Wheel Chair Wrestling for nothing.
i agree, HHH will win. no way they would bring him back and have him loose. i predict that when he does booker t will drop the whole king booker persona. its getting old.
also is it me or does boogeyman look like his teeth are rotted out meth style. does he even have fans?

That's been one of my big problems with Orton for a long time now. We're supposed to believe he's a credible threat to Cena (ignoring the fact that Cena has beaten monsters like Umaga and Khali, and has survived handicap matches involving those men), yet all he does is beat up senior citizens. Sure, beating Michaels is an accomplisment, but everyone beat up RVD, and the rest of his victims haven't wrestled in over a decade.

While I agree the HHH will probably win, (and i hate booker T) I do hope the booker wins and he fueds with HHH for a while so the Trips stays out of the title picture. They are finally trying to push a few other guys and now HHH is gonna come back a squash them all. Kennedy, Carlito, Orton hell even Umaga can be pushed as a main eventer now and HHH wont let that continue.
It's interesting to note that this was a top story on CNN.com this morning, when the deaths of Miss Elizabeth and Mike Awesome (more noteworthy figures in the industry), were footnotes if they were covered at all.
I also find it interesting that journalists list the titles the deceased have held as if they were the same kind of accomplishments as titles in actual sports. People familiar with wrestling will understand that they are a measure of popularity and therefore of success but it just seems really strange to throw that out there without qualification.

No surprise at all. The others didn't die during one of the traditional media witch hunts against wrestling. If they had died after a tragedy like the Chris Benoit one, the media would have been all over it... especially Elizabeth's, since she was shacking up with drug fiend Lex Luger at the time.

i think thats all the better reason for booker too loose. HHH comes back, wins, and then declairs "im the king of kings ...... blah blah blah" of course booker is not going to want this and that what the feud is going to be over.

The thing is, he hasn't wrestled in WWE since 2001, when he had one stinker of a tag team match against Taker and Kane one PPV (as Kronik), and was sent packing. He hasn't eben a regular McMahon wrestler since 1994-5.

I thought Booker was going to drop the "King" act immediantly. At one moment on Raw, his response to Jerry was completely old school Booker T (i think it was right when he refused to crown him, my memory is drawing a blank). I was pretty excited for about an minute but then the situation didnt last much longer.

Yeah, I caught that, too. I think it's acclimatizing people to Booker T, they have to (at least somewhat) ease him back into that role. I was going to be furious if he stayed "Keen GUH BookAAH" once King of the Ring came around.

For those who haven't heard, TNA are in talks with Brock Lesnar. Which is both good and bad news. On one hand, he'd be a top-quality addition (provided he's in his WWE form, rather than Japanese form). On the other hand, it's another person who would be brought in and pushed straight above Joe :(.
Brock is far from top quality. He was a prima-donna in WWE, and quit after he lost the belt and was told he wasn't getting it back for a while.
He went to Japan and refused to job to anyone.
As far as I'm concerned, he's just as big a diva as Goldberg (whom I also never want to see in TNA), and a slightly worse drawing name.
And, as you said, he'd be pushed ahead of Joe. What has that done for TNA so far?
Sting - no change in ratings.
Christian - no change in ratings.
Kurt Angle - a brief ratings bump for 2 weeks, then back to normal.
Scott Steiner - no change in ratings.

Your summary of TNA's rating is spot on. Reading it made me laugh non-stop. Thank You. I also hope the we never see Lesner in TNA because I have actually met Joe at a movie premier and hes a good guy who deserves a run at the top. He should be carrying TNA right now and its a shame hes not.
It wouldn't matter if they did get Brock to join TNA, Joe was about tenth in line for the TNA Title.
Brock is far from top quality. He was a prima-donna in WWE, and quit after he lost the belt and was told he wasn't getting it back for a while.
Actually, the only reason Lesnar dropped the title to Eddie Guerrero was because WWE knew he was leaving for the NFL after the underwhelming Mania payoff with Goldturd. The plan was always for Eddie to beat Lesnar at No Way Out via Goldturd interference. However, Eddie was meant to be a transitional champion. The original plan was for Angle to beat Guerrero at that Mania (or at the next Smackdown PPV) and continue his feud with Lesnar which would have (finally) ended in a I Quit Match *inside* Hell in a Cell. [NOTE: Angle only turned heel because of the Lesnar situation. Guerrero-Angle was supposed to be face v. face.]
Basically, that emotional moment at the end of Wrestlemania 20 with Benoit and Guerrero was almost an accident.
BTW, a motivated in shape Brock Lesnar is still better than half the ******** WWE ~and~ TNA tries to shove down my throat on a weekly basis. However, he got too much too soon and just couldn't handle it.
Pole on a midget match: 1.05
I would mark out for that.

Joe was set to be the next main guy in TNA, had a program ready to start with Jarrett, and then came Sting. Then Sting started to wear down, it looked like Joe would be the face of TNA again, and then came Angle.
As for the pole on a midget match, everyone knows that midgets = ratings. Al Snow taught us that back in the day of Sunday Night Heat.
