I'm so excited to hear about this. I have been a huge Transformers fan since as long as I can remember. (yeah, the new Transformers are kinda lame.) (Yeah, I watch it anyways.)
In the MWS world, for many players, winning also makes you a noob.
The same applies to:
-Knowing the rules.
-Netdecking.
-Not netdecking.
-Using old versions of a card (yeah, it has hapenned to me: "Ugh... ugly pic noob")
-Knowing English.
-Using phases.
-Countering spells.
<@MarkRosewater> THis is a secret we've carefully guarded but for this chat I'm going to spill the beans.
<@MarkRosewater> Some cards in Magic are better than others.
<@MarkRosewater> Ssh, don't tell anyone.
The teaser one-sheet's up at AiCN, as well. I'm not too interested. Mostly because I'm not sure there's a way to do a live action Transformers flick and have it not be really cheesy and horrible.
Live action? Count me the hell out. It's good as a cartoon, but as a live action movie I don't think it'll pan out since it'll be filled to the brim with CGI graphics.

I look forward to this because spielberg and bay are on the project. He is also giving the series a facelift and trying to make them less blockier. I'm getting excited due to next year being an awsome year for movies.
WHAT! a transformer movie! and it's not animated this should be good really really really good. There should be useing spechial graphics of the ass to pull this off.

Dude, Micheal Bay is a terrible director. He's one of the few directors where you can actually easily tell where he's made terrible decisions to the detriment of the film. Just watch Bad Boys 2 and you'll see what I mean. Not that he could have really made that a GOOD movie, but so many of his choices just make it into absolute dreck. If that's not enough, try The Island or Pearl Harbour. Micheal Bay is not a name to instill confidence.
Wow, this sounds almost as bad as the idea for the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" movie.

We got five one-sheets in at my theater as well. July 4th, 2007 is the projected release date. Not a huge Transformers fan but it'll probably do well. Not a Michael Bay fan at all; I expect it to be full of EXPLOSIONS and probably have a few holey romance sub-plots. Meh.
A set pic leaked today, featuring the animatronic (? or just reference prop) model of none other than Bumblebee:
That should be a pretty good indicator of the aesthetic we should be looking at for this movie. Straying far away from the simplified look of the comics/'toon, they're going for a look more akin to the Terminator endoskeleton, armored-up with car parts. Much more complex, realistic, and alien. Also note that the robot in this pic might be incomplete. The script features a scene in which Bumblebee is rebuilt from the ground up, and the robot here is noteably missing anything resembling a left hand.
If you're trying to make sense of what you're looking at, it's the robot lying on its back, arms limp and dangling, looking at it from head-down. There used to be a bigger pic, but the sites that carried it took it down at the producers' request, so this is all I've got at the moment.
I heard about it a while ago from Shortpacked!. A promo semi was set up at Comicon last year with a "Comming in 2007" banner. Willis has even made afew blogs about it.
It better have Dinobots. Grimlock crush script writters!

Not bloody likely. They're going for the realism/disguise angle, and robot dinosaurs really don't scream either (although the apparent inclusion of Scorponok in the Decepticon forces runs counter to that. But he's a Decepticon, so eh). Additionally, they're keeping the TF casts small for the first one, about 5 for each team, so that pretty much rules out an entire Dinobot lineup.

now think about your movie
I'm gonna see it anyways, but why would they do that?
now begins the thousand years of REIGN OF BLOOD!
I think necro made a good point. That was just a commercial and that looked pretty sweet IMO. I cant wait.
Legacy - Full English Breakfast
Vintage - Dragon, Cerebral Assasin, Oath
Megatron - Not a gun, obviously. Tank: very probable.
Prime - 90% on the classic flat-nosed truck, though a fire-truck has been rumored
Bumblebee - updated to a camaro, I think, or a similar sportscar. No VW bug. It has a black stripe on the front, and looks cool.
Soundwave - 50% a helicopter, 50% not in the movie, or so changed as to be unrecognizable and with a different made-up name
Jazz and Ironhide are in, as well as Shockwave and Starscream. There is also supposed to be a policecar decepticon.
Battle Royale Mafia
(Come see who won!)
I hate when things get changed. Dont even get me started on X-3 that's not the point. Updates are cool and all
Im all about some shckwave and starscream though!!!!!!!

Yeah, there was the old 80s one with Werid Al in it. *sigh* so long ago. Lots of nice violence for little kids.;)
Hells yeah. *sigh*, the memories of the old transformers...
