Stax.dec (Metagame Remix)
I did a Gatherer search for cost increasers and decided I'd rather not lose to them this time around. Sorry spuzzem king; it's a good thing for me that Aura of Silence turned up on the result.
B. SOS - Black Lotus, Gustha's scepter, Tinker, Darksteel colossus
the man of (dark)steel
Nice combo. Gustha's Scepter brings back warm memories of my casual scrub days, so I realy like the fact that it's strangely good in this format. Unfortunately many decks could deal with Colossus even if it got played.
C. bateleur - Mishra's Workshop, Ferropede, Wheel of Torture, Sphere of Resistance
"I'm going to keep submitting this until Foil is banned !"
There's an argument to make for Scalding Tongs over Wheel of Tortune Here... but I think the best build of this deck is still missing. Next normal format I think I'm gonna have to unveil my tech...
D. spuzzem king - black lotus, treasure hunter, aura of silence, blood moon
play your mountains
This is an excellent design. Blood Moon hoses virtually every land-based deck while Aura hoses the Lotus variants as well as any first-turn Forms. A terror when going first.
F. god child - Black Lotus x 2, Blood Moon, Preacher
Titled
Blood Moon is a very nice complement to Preacher. Your simple and surprisingly elegant deck nets you a solid second-place finish. Good job.
G. help im a bug - Black Lotus, Leonin Squire, Eureka, Form of the Dragon
Dadblast
The City of Traitors build from last week can get around Sphere of Resistence, and it doesn't risk losing because of Eureka. However, I probably shouldn't be arguing with success. Congratulations.
H. Silver Seraph - Fountain of Cho, Decree of Justice, Sword to Plowshares, Disenchant
Unstoppable Army
Nice card choices, considering what you're trying to do. Unfortunately, I think you should play Tabernacle instead... better against Ferropede, since most of those decks run just Workshop for land.
I. Nazgul_Master - Hunting Pack, Black Lotus x2, Yawgmoth's Will
Tabernacle or not, that's the question
That's not the only question; first-turn cost-increasers were also a problem. Outside of those, though, you have quite the deck, and very few people ran those answers, proving your deck to be a solid choice. Third place is quite good, amirite?
J. Annorax - City of Traitors, Isochron Scepter, Sonic Burst, Squee, Goblin Nabob
Squee Facial.
It's been a while since I've seen an Isochron deck on 4CB. Yours is definitely one of the better ones, although I'm of the Fire/Ice & PowderKeg mindset myself. Since there were very few Tabernacle decks that didn't run Dust Bowl, as well as Blood Moons, you were hated out. Try again under different metagame circumstances.
K. Dusk_ - Mercadian Bazaar, Ancient Spring, Vindicate, Form of the Dragon
Rage and Revenge
I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the slow Dragon decks. There's too much that can go wrong, like them playing multiple threats or land destruction or something.
L. silicon - Black Lotus, Preacher, Crack the Earth, Mountain
Foil? Foiled!
Foil isn't exactly the deck to beat right now, but hey, I guess there needs to be someone who plays dedicated hate every week.
M. halinn - City of Traitors, Coretapper, Umezawa's Jitte, Energy Chamber
Chaarge!
This deck's kind of silly, but oddly enough hard to disrupt. Any combination of the three are fairly problematic for most decks, let alone all three. Very nice contribution.
N. jcsuperstar - Black Lotus x2, Blood Moon, Indentured Djinn
Have fun with mountains
I can't help but feel that this is a weaker version of F. Creatures with no abilities that cost 3 aren't exactly anything to brag about in this format.
O. beaker - black lotus, tropical island, anurid scavenger, spore frog
the frog pwns j00
I seriously doubt it. Although you're great at shutting down combat, that doesn't help you force through damage, and a good defense or some disruption will wreck your plans.
P. TheStu - Auriok Salvagers, Black Lotus, Ruins of Trokair, Pyrite Spellbomb
Bomberman II
Holy cow. Your deck actually works this week. I'm in shock. Just kidding... you actually seem to know how to build this a little better than I do if I remember correctly. :/
Q. Whamme - City of Traitors, Mishra's Factory, Dust Bowl, Crucible of Worlds
[I like chumping, yes I do. I like chumping, howabout you? Sing with me! I like chumping...]
I'm not convinced that Crucible is better than another land here, especially since Tabernacle could be that land. Considering what you're metagaming against I probably would have run Rishidan Port instead.
R. r_x_ - City of Traitors, Scalding Tongs, Soldevi Sentry, powder Keg
badmonobrown.dec
My first reaction to this deck was "Doesn't seem that bad to me." However, this infernal collection of cards was so infuriatingly difficult to calculate that now I not only agree that it is, in fact, Bad Mono Brown, but I harbor an irrational loathing of your person. As Silky Johnson might say, "I wish you ill, r_x_."
S. Greebo - Black Lotus x2, Coercion, Indentured Djinn
Genie in a Chainsaw
Coercion is much stronger in this format than I thought. A deck that did much better than I expected.

Player of the Month: April
4CBs in the April season: #60 through #64. (Monday is the relevant day of the week when determining which month a 4CB is in.)
Right now, the only results in are for #60; therefore, each player's current point total for PotM is displayed above.
Note that awards no longer count for points.
4CB #61
4CB #61 is a special format. All spells cost less to play. Remember that this is cost to play, not their converted mana cost (so an instant that costs :2mana::symu: still can't be imprinted onto Isochron Scepter.) Additionally, Sol Ring is banned for this week (since it's too good when it costs to play), and the rest of the 4CB banned list still applies.
4CB BASICS
How do I play?
Just submit your deck to me, billking, via Private Message, and you'll be signed up for next weeks game... and that's all you have to do. Submission periods for each week end promptly at 1AM Pacific Time on Tuesday morning (4AM Eastern, 9AM GMT). New: In the case that I receive more than 25 entries in a single week, entries beyond the 25th will be ignored. As long as the cards and your deckname are in the message, you're good, but...
where you replace <> with []. If you have two of a card, just type it once followed by "x2" after the card tag. Thanks
Making Corrections
Just post them in this thread. Remember, corrections are always due by 1AM Pacific the Saturday morning following the posting of this thread; after that, results become final, even if they're wrong.

A vs D (<--- never D vs A!)
Your result: 6-0 (<--- A's result first, D's result second)
My result: 4-1
You forgot that this one card does this one thing that you forgot about. Yeah. (This is a reason why you think I made a mistake.)
A1: Land, Spell
D1: Lotus, Spell
A2: Spell
D2: Attack (16)
A3: (and so on until the game is over; you don't always need to do turn-by-turn if it's obvious enough.)
Basic Rules
- Your deck is composed of 4 cards, all of which start in your hand.
- Your deck has no sideboard.
- You don't lose as a result of not being able to draw a card.
- You can see your opponent's hand, so you can always make the best possible play.
- Your random effects always go in your opponent's favor.
- All other rules of Magic remain unchanged, unless otherwise stated. Tournament Rules
- All matches are played out by the moderator (participants only submit the decks).
- Tournaments are run in round-robin fashion.
- Each matchup consists of 2 games, with each deck going first once.
- Participants earn 3 points if their deck wins a game, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss; thus, over the course of a match, you can earn 6, 4, 3, 2, 1, or 0 points. Deck-Building Rules
- You may not submit a deck that can win on the first turn.
- You may not submit a deck that can force an opponent to discard more than 1 card in one turn.
- You may not submit a deck that can generate infinite (or an arbitrarily large amount of) mana on the first turn.
- Your deck may not include Unglued or Unhinged cards, ante cards, Garfield event cards (such as Splendid Genesis or Proposal), or 1996 World Champion.
- You may not include a card that appears on the 4CB Banned List. Banned List

Spock is not portrayed correctly. If Vulcans are above petty emotions, what motivates him to join the most elite starship crew in the galaxy? I, on the other hand, have transcended the weakness of emotion and achieved a blissful lack of caring. Apathy is my strength, our strength, which prevents us from being all-to-human. In this spirit, may Meh be with you, always.
E vs. S
Your result: 6-0
My Result: 1-4
If S goes first, S plays Coercion, takes away the Tabernacle and wins the damage race Djinn vs. Factory. So, if E goes first, he'll have to play the Tabernacle first turn. If he does that, S plays Coercion for the Factory and the game becomes a draw.
Correct, Coercion can hit land cards. :/
Edit: Changed Deck Construction Rules slightly. If you make a deck that wins during your opponent's first upkeep, that's banned too.

Alright, first off how did help get an extra 16 points? His total is 70, then in the standings he has 86.
Alright on to problems:
L. silicon vs. G. help im a bug
Currently: 0 - 6
Should be: 6 - 0
If I goes first, I drop the mountain, lotus and Preacher, he drops the lotus, Leonin Squire, lotus again, Eureka, Form of the Dragon(and his life goes to 5) . I go, take his squire, and use Crack the Earth . He sacs form, I beat him with his own squire. If he goes first, I drop every thing to eureka, and then take his squire and use crack on my turn. If he tries only playing the squire, I just take it or use crack and win.
L. silicon vs. I. Nazgul_Master
Currently: 0 - 6
Suggested score: 3 - 3
If he goes first, he gets his 6 beasts, and I'm only able to take care of one before he attacks, so I lose. If I go first, I drop the lotus, preacher and mountain. He goes, gets his 6. I take one on my turn, use crack to make him sacrifice one (I sac my mountain). On his turn, he attacks with his 4 remaining, I block one with my (stolen) beast, he hits me with 3. On my turn, I take another, then he attacks and hits me with 1. Then I take his last beast and attack freely until I win. If he decides to never attack, then it would draw (and affect the score as such)
Alright, first off how did help get an extra 16 points? His total is 70, then in the standings he has 86.
13*6+4+3+1=78+8=86. This is before your corrections below.

Edit: Changed Deck Construction Rules slightly. If you make a deck that wins during your opponent's first upkeep, that's banned too.

I'll make it "the end of your opponent's first turn."

If he decides to never attack, then it would draw (and affect the score as such)
I think that's all the problems on mine.
