It is used quite loosely but so is the racist. The context was set up for a pretty apt interpretation. "PC madness"-> probably overzealous advocates for political correctness. I mean you can go further but I don't care to. That should be more than enough. And you know what SJWs are pretty good for enraging themselves.
And I agree with Blinking Spirit, well at least I think I do, Donald Trump isn't just the result of the failures of the GOP but the success of Obama. The fact that an educated well spoken black male can be elected angers the right wing and they see probably see Obama as extremist left, regardless of politics. What do they do? Nominate someone seemingly despicably right, regardless of politics.
Yeah, I agree with you about that, but in this case the sociopolitical setback largely isn't being poor, it's being racist, and being scared of living in a world that contains brown people.
Me: Racists were enraged by the election of Barack Obama. You: That's because they're racist.
Magickware has this covered pretty well. People should be able to speak their minds on matters of civic importance, even if their ideas are unpopular. If they are false, if they are hateful (and many of Trump's ideas could be classified as at least one of the two) then expose them. But what has been happening on college campuses for years now, and what is happening in many other venues and what is happening to Trump - being chased from major cities by threats and violence - these things I do not accept.
So you believe we should endorse racism, homophobia, bigotry, and misogyny?
Because THAT is what Donald Trump represents, and to elect Donald Trump is not merely to condone, but to openly encourage these positions.
That's why I find it pretty amazing that conservatives can actually fool themselves into thinking that Trump is with them, and it seems self-evident to me that the mainstream conservatives are fighting on the basis of "never Clinton" moreso than "yay Trump".
There was a poll done not too long ago that found 40% of Trump supporters to be voting "for him" while somewhere around 52-54% or so were voting against Clinton. On the opposite side, around 56% of Clinton supporters were voting explicitly for her (which is about average compared to other US presidents) and 40% against Trump.
I think (and expect most here will agree) that he is a tremendous demagogue. Not just in the sense that most politicians are, but way beyond that. He's made hay by being a rabblerouser. But insulated within the Presidential office, being removed from the pressures of an election, I do believe he'll be more restrained.
We are talking about the guy who throws tantrums on Twitter and has to get put in time out, right? He's been doing this for years, it's not just an election thing.

HOW? HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY BELIEVE THIS?
How much denial do you have to be in?
Hopefully less than it took to think Hillary was an electable candidate.
Like I said, he's a demagogue. There's not as much need for the demagoguery once he's in the White House. Further, he's going to have certain Republicans that are going to join the Democrats to fight him every step of the way. Not too worried - not that much more than usual at least.

Let's ignore the obvious fact that Donald Trump is a narcissist that cannot take the slightest amount of negative criticism toward himself - because you certainly already have ignored this - and focus on the fact that your argument is Donald Trump will change his behavior after you have rewarded his behavior through positive reinforcement by giving him exactly what he wanted.
And you're sitting there thinking, "Yup! That definitely makes sense in my mind!"

Astounding.
Dude, I still don't understand if you realize that he was running against Hillary Clinton. How is that scenario any better? This has restored my faith in America.
Also, I'm not opposed to gay marriage. I don't think I've ever been, though my position is nuanced.

Because Hillary is at least a half decent candidate.

We've been through this before: just as bad + not funny + works for the establishment.

We've been through this before: Trump has less experience, a far worse moral compass, less realistic and less developed policies, and displays a apathy of many political issues.
Meanwhile Clinton has been involved in some shady business the responsibility for which can largely be attributed to the system not her personally, and that's ignoring all the conspiracy theory bull.
Sure, Clinton is not a good candidate, but Trump is very much an actively bad candidate.
Working for the establishment is often going to be a benefit. We are talking about an establishment system- democracy itself is all about consensus and congress relies on political stability. Progress needs to be made through the system or problems occur through destabilisation.

You: That's because they're racist.
See how that's not constructive?
I've been personally screwed over by Obamacare, and may yet be screwed over again.
I'm still not voting for Trump.
Things that will destroy small businesses faster than Obamacare:

Trump wins both the electoral college AND the popular vote.
Godspeed, 5214-post Trump thread.
