You put "president" in quotes. Does this mean you are one who thinks her election was invalid?
I'm guessing he just doesn't like her. Her popularity is quite low.
Kind of appropriate to try and overthrow her on an anniversary when a despot was overthrown. If she tries to exercise extreme powers, then I won't like this.
Our "President" decleared State of Emergency today, because of rallies that want to change our form of government. Thoughts?
There is more to it than that. You must go deeper into it. Why exactly is there a state of emergency. There is much more than a rally. The Philippine islands are a republic. Demonstrations and rallies are legal. Please don't give half truths and political spin. Tell us exactly what happened.
Yep, and while people and police were beating the crap outta each other in the streets, I was in Araneta Coliseum watching Triple H beat the crap outta Big Show.
Anyways, I don't know the exact details, though I do heard on the news that you can arrest anyone without a Warrant of Arrest or sumtin . . . .

Quite Low?? QUITE LOW???? Make it Very Low. VERY VERY LOW, for that matter. Some people call her "George Bush's Maid" cause she is crap. Anyways, I would actually like to see her FIRED, since she is crap. why can't everyone go back to the old days of war, in which everyone used pen and tounge, and not bullets and tanks?

Yes, the Halcyon War of Nonexistia.
Provided there actually was an attempted coup, I'd be somewhat sympathetic to the President, though the current rallies against her make me less supportive.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
Classes have been suspended for High School and Elementary today on Monday, January 27 2006. Cause of some Marines doing something weird an FortBonifacio in a state of chaos. THer'es gonna be a rally near the De La Salle University, which is near my home (I pass through that to get to the shop where I play Magic.), so tomorrow it's either this for me:
a) NetDraft all day long to sharpen up for GP Manila.
b)play DotA all day long with the new v6.28 .
or
c)join in the rally for a change.
Senori: Back in the Philippines there was! Philippine-Spain War: The La Solidaridad did not go with violence, they instead went with pen and tongue to fight Spain.

Then it was not a war.
That aside, I can't find any references to the war (Phillipine Revolution, Phillipine-American, but not Phillipine-Spain or Phillipine-Spanish).

It's actually referred to as the Philippine Revolution. (Note the spelling.)
I suspected as much, but that particular conflict hardly looks bloodless.

I don't know much of the story at all. I did read the link posted above, but all I have to say is...If the people are unhappy with the government or the government is tyrannical, they have a duty, NOT A RIGHT, a DUTY to overthrow it.

Senori: Let me correct myself: The La Solidaridad was not the name of the group. The actual name was the Propaganda Movement was the real name. The La Solidaridad was the newspaper which the Propaganda used to write about's spains injustice against filipinos.
Bizkit Overlord: You're right. That's why there's alot of people who're defying the police and willing to let themselves get hurt and arrested for the future of the Philippine Society.

If she is indeed corrupt etc, I support her overthrow, I guess. I mean impeachment would be betterbut that is off the table...
