Heh...when I saw the title, I clicked at it immediately, looking forward to another great Jaya article. Then I went like "WTF, why is my browser playing tricks on me"...then I realized that the banners are different...then I read them...and then I tried to scroll down for the article itself...and THEN I finally got it.
But I enjoyed it, VestDan ;). Good job .

Well, I for one enjoyed it immensley as a long time Jaya Ballard fan. I'd be perfectly happy to see more like it, but am happy with what we got. Thanks VestDan
This article was supposed to be listed as a Mini article, the one-shot weird little things we do on weekends. The Mini banner and intro have been added to prevent further confusion. Please remember to keep your comments polite, even if you dislike this "article".

Pinpoint Avalanche kinda comes to mind. Overall, I thought it was kinda amusing and quite a thinking article. Annnnnnnnd.....*cue random statement* stickdeath.com sucks.
You should turn that into an animated gif. then you could put it in your signature and say, "hey check out the article in my sig". I have to say it was mildly amusing until I got the last part:

I get Hellbent in every game I play. Maybe I should start playing with Rakdos cards.
Okay, I'm glad most people liked it, was getting kinda bummed last night. That said, I'd be willing to do a few more of these, but never intended for them to be actual articles -- just a quick little amusing thing for weekends when we don't normally have anything.
Uh, pinpoint avalanche doesn't work on pro. red creatures, because it cannot target them. As a red mage, i generally go with some sort of dragon, since most pro. red creatures don't fly. Or flashfire, since most of them are white. If I can't deal with your threats I'll deal with your manabase.
It was pretty cute. Confusing and then kind of funny.
We should have a weekly Salvation comic strip. It could feature card characters or real life people like R&D.
Yeah, I like that idea, but maybe allow it so more writers can do it. Just rather than call it a "Mini" or anything, give it an all new "Comic" or "Strip" tag. Writers can give suggestions for comics, and eventually we'll just put the good ones up and have two every weekend (Saturday/Sunday).

Getting the last word does not mean that you win the argument.
This is funny once, because it's surprising. This should absolutely NOT be a weekly thing. All respect for VestDan for making something new and unexpected, but please nobody try to make more of the same.
You really just need to embrace the rage. I keep a small colony of hamsters next to my computer and every time I lose a match to mana screw I throw one against the wall.
You are aware that it is nearly imposible to explain why something is funny...
You either get it or you don't. So you don't get it. Fine, move along it is not for you...
No. Actually it isn't. If I don't get something at first, usually I just don't understand what is happening, or I miss a pop-culture refrence. I've explained jokes to people before. Ofcourse, usually when you have a joke explained, you won't find it funny still, but the point that you can explain jokes.
I think making this an animated gif would make it better though.
That was a complete waste of my time. I did not even understand it. Hell, it was not even funny. It would have been a lot funnier if the angel or the other chick had a ***** strapped to her head. Then I would have thought it funny.
yeah - obviously I disagree with you, John. Spam Warning!.....Amazing - even in a forum where posts don't count, there's spam. That proves that getting rid of the post-count won't help getting rid of spam! Thans for this excellent example! - Craven
The basic problem is you have to stare at the last couple of frames for way too darn long just to figure out what the heck happened. And even then you're tempted to think "shouldn't the words 'protection from red' have had, you know, protection from red?" It makes you think too hard about itself, and I think on that basis, Jaya wouldn't approve.

Just so the Editors know, when you copied the Mini Tags from that White Weenie article, you also copied the title: White Weenie and Me: A Confession of Sorts. Of course, it sort of makes the article even funnier, so I'd leave it.

Seriously, what the hell. Whoever said mtgs has stooped to an all time low was absolutley correct. This makes me want to switch to a different posting community. I kept scrolling down, looking for semi-intelligent writing about a Magic strategy, but instead I got a half bit comic that looked like it was drawn by MS Paint. Hey mods, you wondering why you have to moderate this thread a lot to prevent people from being too harsh? It's because this comic blows, and the articles on MTGS are getting pathetic. Time to join the Starcity forums.

Absolutely, Tyler Durden. You can head right on over to Starcity Games and pay to read your quality articles. If you so desire, you may start paying the writers of this site. You may notice a drastic increase in quality if you do.
Any random idiot can take three minutes in MSPaint and make something like this; I imagine even the "artist" isn't going to dispute this since that's the point of not using a good art program. Okay, so MTGS has content that anyone could create, which I suppose is better than MTGS not having that same content. But why must the "I'm using MSPaint, LOL" humor that's been done thousands of times before push down the articles that make MTGS interesting and unique? Jaya Ballard on Coldsnap Design is a great article, was it really worth reducing the prominance of that article and the other articles on the front page just to rehash an already over-rehashed joke?
For God's sake, the Red Mage just blasted the title, and the title killed Akroma because the ho doesn't have protection from titles!
Obviously she got hosed by that E....
Ah, ok, I missed that part. Yep, if something has immunity from magic, just use magic to affect something that person doesn't have immunity from... clever. Probablywould have even found it funny (considering the chosen target) had I noticed that the first time, so... not bad, I guess. ^^

Ooh, yes, that would have been absolutely hysterical.
In fact, ****** are so funny that I hear some States have even banned their depiction because they made people laugh too much.
What a shame the need to remain PG-13 prevents such brilliant gems of humour from reaching our screens.
