I play almost exclusively online, and am sick and tired of playing against redundant constructed decks. I already play Pauper casually, and am looking to sell my current (admittedly small) collection in order to finance forays into alternate formats.
I'm already an avid player of PPS, Pauper Rainbow Stairwell & 60/100 Card Singleton, and would like to expand my horizons re: uncommons.
Before I start spending my small bankroll of tixs wildly, I'd like if someone could point if the right direction of staple uncommons, both for purchase and deck ideas ~ I'll be playing almost exclusively singleton formats.
For the record, I *do* plan to play Vintage/Legacy as well as Classic, so I will be picking up some Skullclamps and othersuch ~ though I don't see myself shelling out for a City of Brass or the like.
For rarity, if it was ever uncommon online or in print, I'm all for it.
Also, are there any clans or big PREs which commonly do any of these formats? c:

edit: bah, misspelled peasant.

Just to clarify, this deck you wish to construct will be for paper or online play? You mentioned Tix so that leads me to believe this is an online deck and should go HERE.
That being said, staple uncommon cards can differ greatly depending on if you play paper or online. An example would be in the common card Benevolent Unicorn, it is much more expensive online then in paper because paper has other options. As this is the paper section, it would be difficult to mention staple cards because it is so meta dependent.
If I am incorrect though, I would be glad to assist as would "I assume" the rest of the community in giving ideas.
I do plan to play initially online, though do plan to move to Paper in the next few months ~ just need to find a good playgroup.
The paper comment was just to clarify that if it's not uncommon online, but in paper, I'd still love it listed; as I'd like to transition any deck I'm fond of to paper, it'd be nice to know the options available. :3
I'll also post in the other forum - thanks for the heads up.
TL;DR advise me as if I'm playing Paper and I'll work my way from there. ^^;
As I'm most likely going to be playing MUC/Ux decks with plenty of artifacts, I threw together a 60CS Peasant deck as a starting point to work from. Afaik, the money cards are applicable across a wide range of decks, as are most of the other cards.
I'm not sure if the deck would be consistent enough to rely on Counterbalance, and I feel the land/creature count is a little light.
I don't know of too many Staple uncommons for peasant, but I can tell you a few that would be solid choices for a wide range of decks (forgive me they are all green or black) but demonic tutor is fantastic, Eternal witness always has a home in green, I use a lot of vampire nighthawk, and reanimate would also be good. But don't bother with counterbalance it's not like legacy where you have as narrow CMCs.

My understanding was that Demonic Tutor was banned in a lot of playgroups, along with stuff like Stripmine and Skullclamp ~ the upfront cost is also rather high, though a lot cheaper than I'd initially thought (SCG has it for $15 - 20!).
Looking around, it seems like a lot of the strong uncommons in the format are Black (mostly for because they're tutors, though there's some house discard :p). With this in mind, do you think a UB deck would be a better initial combination?
Cheers for the response by the way! This subforum is a little less active than I'd have thought.

It has a good following, but I think what has thrown it out of the loop is the singleton requirement. It isn't very common so that may be the cause.
In terms of the cards being banned in certain play groups, the complete un-official list is in my sticky, but then again certain play groups do have their own rules so they may infact vary.
