Welcome to the Battle for Earth! Extradimensional Aliens have decided to use our planet for their amusement, shifting creatures and robots from across the multiverse to ours. Your job is to determine the winners.
Combatants are from specific universes, and while parallel versions of themselves may exist, the specific version referenced in included in parentheses after the combatant's name. All machines requiring pilots will generally have their pilots named in their summaries, and those pilots are assumed to be in the machines. However, the Extraliens have implanted thoughts of aggressiveness in all of the combatants, and they must fight if the Extraliens pit them against one another. They have also been given knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of those they fight against.

Background on the Combatants:
Sin (Final Fantasy X)
Height: ? http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Sin
Summary: This gargantuan whale-like beast is responsible for the destruction of human civilization, and the continued destruction in cycles until it is stopped by a summoner. It’s purpose is to destroy any human city which has grown too big or uses too much technology, and it’s found a world with both in spades.
Godzilla (Godzilla: Final Wars)
Height: 100 meters http://godzilla.wikia.com/wiki/Godzilla
Summary: The Big G needs no introductions. After defeating Keizer Ghidora in a final battle, after trouncing every monster the X Aliens could throw against him, Godzilla emerged victorious. But as the dust cleared from his final attack, Godzilla was nowhere to be seen.
Story:Godzilla felt angry. The three-headed dragon was gone, but the aliens who had used him and his fellow monsters to fight their battles had to pay. Finding himself in the Pacific Ocean, he swam west, towards the last place he had seen Aliens.
From the sea of Japan, Sin heads towards the closest, largest, most technologically advanced city nearby: Tokyo, Japan.
As Godzilla emerges from Tokyo Bay, he is startled to see the whale beast making its way towards the city. He's suddenly filled with rage at the sight of it, and is NOT willing to share his prize, or his territory.
Battlefield: Tokyo, Japan Situation: The general public isn't yet aware of the threat.
Sin getting taken apart by lightning cannons in the middle of this video
Not quite. Sin gets his fins blown off and falls down. Gets up again instantly, basically unharmed and reveals his final form. If the cannons could have just straight killed him they should have just shot him in the face with it

I participate yearly in a survival challenge in which I am dropped off in the wilderness with 1 days rations, a knife, and no other supplies, and have to find my way home. This is typically several weeks hiking from civilization.
I have personally killed several bears in the course of this challenge, with the use of snares and other traps.

I don't remember 'killing' being part of the requirements to win the fight. If Godzilla could defeat Sin, that's enough.
In the game's mythos, the 'God' summons really are only as powerful as your average Kaiju.
Thanks. If we were talking summons from 7, it'd be a different story, but FFX summons are much, much weaker because they have to be used in actual battles and not just as 'ultimates'.
In fact, the final boss of X is a 'summon' that's defeated by three magic users, but that summon in turn once defeated Sin.
Sin doesn't have to stay dead for Godzilla to win this one particular fight, and if surviveability is a requirement, weaker versions of Godzilla have survived almost complete annihilation (such as GMK: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack surviving being blown up from the inside)
Funny how you didn't have that argument with Deathwing.
And I also won't be arguing that if there was a fight between Dumbledore and a Gundam. The scale is too different. Serpertera is 500m long that attacks from outer space, whats Deathwing going to do about that?

Except it's magic. How much magical power does Serpentera have? None.
Please realize I'm just pointing out how terrible your argument is.

"[Screw] you and the green you ramped in on." - My EDH battle cry. If I had one. Which I don't.
"In the game's mythos, the 'God' summons really are much more powerful than your average Kaiju."
Because the final and most powerful Aeon can be killed by two soccer players and a large cat.
You need more than 'magic' to say that Godzilla can't do it. Unless that 'magic' specifically makes them invulnerable to his atomic breath (as, say, Ruby Weapon could arguably be), it's irrelevant. You are implying some kind of protection that doesn't exist.
Godzilla makes a habit of killing creatures much bigger than most Aeons on a regular basis. Considering most Aeons in the game can be 'defeated' by strong enough common enemies, your argument simply doesn't work.

I laughed way harder than I should have at this.
Sin might not be able to be permanently defeated by Godzilla, but I think Godzilla has the firepower to take out a bigass flying whale at least for the sake of the K.O. count.

Godzilla sees the new threat to his territory and attacks starting with powerful breath weapon, Sin takes massive damage His body begins falling a part, Sin attacks with a massive blast of energy stunning godzilla but Godzilla can endure such an attack! Godzilla than engages hand to fin with the sin, It looks like Godzilla will win only to find.... the body parts that fell off are ATTACKING godzilla, and their are 1000's of them! unable to cope with this many attackers after his fight with the main body, Sin's spawn destroy Godzilla while then reforming as sin, who proceeds to destroy the city and its vile sinful mechanea. you can't beat sin with combat, you need to obliterate every single piece of him, as even his skinfallicals are bosses. Winner SIN!

What?
A strong enough Aeon such as Anima can one shot like 99% of the enemies in the game. If by "defeated" you mean sit there and do nothing while mobs whittle away at your health, yeah they can be defeated. If Godzilla sat there and did nothing for long enough a random guy with a bazooka can defeat him too. What does that prove?
You need to provide some better proof than "well it CAN happen"

... but it can happen. You've completely dismissed the points, but my entire argument is that Godzilla can do it. I've laid that out pretty clearly in my Aeon comparisons.
And I shouldn't have said 'common' enemies, but most bosses can kill most of your Aeons in game. I've laid out the comparisons already, all I'm trying to do is establish roughly equivalent power levels. I'm not really sure what you're arguing about. You are getting away from the main point.
And no, a single guy with a bazooka would never defeat Godzilla. The Mutants in Final Wars can hardly hurt him, and they're much faster and stronger than the main characters from FFX.
I would put Anima at roughly the power level of Ebirah from Final Wars:
In fact, Ebirah does more destruction than Anima is shown doing in the game (to be fair, Anima basically just kills enemies outright without damaging buildings).
The guns they use would be weaker analogues of the lightning cannon from the Airship in FFX.
The Gotengo has a similarly powerful beam attack to the airship from FFX (killing lesser Kaiju outright) but can only succeed in burying Godzilla under a mountain.
I'm just trying to give this an honest argument based on rough comparisons, but all you seem interested in is dismissing anything that disagrees with your snap judgment.
I'm not saying Godzilla has to win, but I do think it deserves more consideration than most people seem to give it. You haven't actually ever offered any proof that Sin could beat Godzilla.

How do you figure? IIRC in FFX you fight some pretty huge enemies early on in the game. By the end your character and Aeons have no problems dealing oneshotting them(if you could fight them again that is). They only thing those enemies have going for them, just like the Mutants in Godzilla, is that they're big.

Your argument from the beginning has been, Aeons are just Kaiju and since Godzilla can eat Kaiju no problems Godzilla wins.
I'm saying, hold up you're not giving the Aeons enough credit.

Sin.
Not even close.
Vote: Sin
Sin getting taken apart by lightning cannons in the middle of this video
Godzilla defeating three monsters with the power to destroy a city (although not as powerful as Sin)
Final Wars Godzilla is also very agile, and his beam attacks have to be at least as powerful as those lightning blasts.

I'll have to ponder this one, but I think that Godzilla will put up a big fight. Sin is a massive beast though.... tough call!
How well do you do against one?
Sin is pretty slow.
Also, you are all missing the part where Sin is constantly defeated every cycle by a 'summon' smaller and weaker than Godzilla.

I'm totally convinced.
Godzilla wins this one.

Comparing a summon to a Kaiju is like comparing a magical beam to a missile attack. They're totally different.
Sin could land on Godzilla and squash him.

'Because Magic' is a silly reason.
Godzilla kills magical creatures all the time.
In GMK he kills a magical spirit Mothra and magical spirit King Ghidora. And GMK Godzilla is officially weaker than Final Wars Godzilla.
