6 Outdated Myths Everyone Still Believes About Homosexuality | Cracked.com
Pretty much the point at the bottom of the page. It makes me wonder if later on down the line that I might change my tastes, and it brings up concerns about my boyfriend. Not to mention it is giving me a bit of an identity crisis. It's just that I am physically and sexually attracted to men, not women. I like them, but in a different way. Like I enjoy the strong female type, the warrior or top dog if you will. But I don't have any sexual interest in them.

If you're attracted to men, you're attracted to men. What's the identity crisis?
It's because it feels like some sort of ticking time bomb, that may or may not be real. It makes me feel fake. Like what I'm doing now is just an act before the show starts. It has me doubting myself even though I never did before.

Your sexuality doesn't define who you are. It's just a part of you. Either you are attracted to men, women, both or anything else. Doesn't make you fake. If you feel you are acting, who is the audience? Yourself or other people? Either way, there might be something inside you that wants to change and my advice would be to just let it happen. Let the world deal with it. As long as you hurt no one else, everything is fine.

Like I said before, I never felt any need to change before. I was completely sure. It's only this article that has me feeling like the sword is going to drop someday and end it all.

Do you see homosexuality as something bad? I'm asking because of your use of metaphors. Bombs exploding, swords dropping, endings coming. Where is the harm in all this? You might someday start to feel attracted to the opposite sex. Maybe it happens someday, maybe not. Why worry so much about it?

Because it would make everything up to such a day (assuming such a thing happens) feel pointless. Right now I have no sexual attraction to the opposite sex and I thought it would stay that way. But just the possibility of that not being the case makes me liking guys seem fake in some way. It was hard enough accepting being gay, now I have to deal with the possibility of that not being the case? After all the agony of coming out and whatnot?

What will happen in the future will in no way invalidate what has happened before. It seems you are overreacting a bit, considering that we are talking only about a possibility here. And lets get this straight, the possibility is bisexual not heterosexual. If you are attracted to men, then you are definitely not heterosexual as a man.

So the possibility would actually be becomin bi, not turning straight?

Pretty much. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I thought I was bisexual for most of my teen age years until I actually kissed a guy. Turns out I really, really am not into guys. Have you tried being with a woman ever? You might be surprised.

I actually was a with a girl in my teenage years but I felt nothing during it. Just felt like a friend, even when I kissed her I didn't feel anything.

Yes. I don't think it's possible to make a 180° turn and go from absolute gay to absolute straight. If you look again at the Kinsey Scale, what's possible is only one step at the time in either direction. Even if the Scale might not be so accurate, it is useful sometimes.
So again, everything is fine, there's nothing more to say.
Because at the moment I am feeling like something is changing. It feels like I might throw up or something, even though I know what I am into.
Maybe there is something else in your life that is unconsciously causing how you feel. If it really is such a strong feeling and you want to know what is going on, you might want to consult an expert on the issue. He/she might know from other similar cases why you feel this way.

I guess it's the same as straight people turning gay. Although I guess no one else here really has the same worries.

You're allowing people to control your thoughts.
Why? Isn't that something you're afraid of?
Then why are you concerned that this may change?
