so I have a job interview to be a park ranger in the Canadian province of Alberta, which has gone through a boom period the past few years because of oil and whatnot.
I'm not too sure where I'd be posted so I guess it's hard to be 100% certain on costs but I just wanted to know what general costs of living are out there.
The job pays between $22 and 27 and hour and my only other real expenses are my phone bill and OSAP (student debt) payments of $325 a month.
On a side note, what should I expect on a park ranger job interview?

It obviously also depends on where in Alberta you live (Calgary is, for example, more expensive than Edmonton, which is more expensive than Red Deer (but in terms or relative niceness of the cities you get what you pay for)). That said, Alberta is, in comparison of your ability to make money versus how much you spend, relatively affordable.
May I ask what position you're applying for? I've worked closely with Parks Canada on a number of occasions, mostly with my work as a hiking guide at the Burgess Shale, and on another recent Kootenay fossil expedition with the ROM.
While it's only seasonal, I feel the interview went well. If I'm successful in the interview (which I'll know in a few weeks), I'll have to get my driver's abstract and do a physical among a few other things. if I get this job I'll have completed the same physical testing police and the sheriffs out in Alberta need, which is good
