I was driven from this once-great site by abusive mods and admins, who create rules out of thin air to punish people for breaking them (meaning the rule does not exist under forum rules) and selectively enforce the rules that are written on the forum rules. I am currently lurking while deleting 6 years and 2 months of posting history. I will return when ExpiredRascals, Teia Rabishu and Blinking Spirit are no longer in power.
And yet they will have highly paid experts talking for about two days how the stems in both of the pictures are similar.
Which is kind of fun here, as neither logo has a stem!

The explosion that... destroyed our city, razed our home, and turned our fields into wasteland was nothing compared to what was now happening to those who survived.
And this is why countries often start ignoring intellectual property rights that screw over their economy and their businesses. Good show Apple, way to make friends in Poland. Poland is one of the strongest economies in Europe right now is probably why they've got an itch.
Then again my favorites are always with localization for products where the junk translations comes off as something sexual or rude or the company expands too fast and balks because they haven't localized correctly.

Ambition must be made to counteract ambition.
Individualities may form communities, but it is institutions alone that can create a nation.
Nothing succeeds like the appearance of success.
Here is my principle: Taxes shall be levied according to ability to pay. That is the only American principle.
Really Morgan? I'd not heard that Poland was doing so well - great to hear with their history though. [Half-Pole here - and got some family that is tied enough to the old country enough that they visit every few years - still a trip I need to make someday]

Does anyone actually use 'apple' as shorthand for an Apple product? Their first computers were Apples but since then their products are Macs, iMacs, iPod, iPhones and iPads. I have never heard of anyone revering to any of these products as an Apple.
Apparently A.pl did use an apple in one of their logos so there might be brand similarities. However, there just does not seem to be any other reasonable brand confusion possible there.
Interestingly Apple itself was on the receiving end when they got sued by Apple Corp. Apple Corp was created by the Beatles to manage their music rights and thus predates Jobs's Apple. When iTunes came out Apple Inc. was suddenly in the music business and Apple Corp was not happy since there was brand confusion.
