So, in the spirit of Summer, I come here to ask what y'all do when it's sweltering out? I grew up in Louisiana, so I'm used to it, and Colorado isn't near as muggy as it is in Baton Rouge. Typically I spend my days reading a book in bed with a fan in the window pointed at me. House doesn't have central air, y'know.
I like the Summer because it forces me to wake up early and go for a run when it's nice and cool out. I don't exercise much in the other seasons, haha.
To answer your question literally, when it is 1,000,000,000 degrees outside, I instantly vaporize and turn to dust before my brain can register a thing.
When it is merely very hot by human standards (100 Fahrenheit+) outside, I try to stay inside when possible, and preferably not at my apartment so I can conserve electricity and not strain my budget too much. When I do have to go out, I try to limit the time spent outside to the minimal amount necessary, outside of the late evening and the early morning. Rely on fans to make it feel cooler.
Having lived here in Tucson for the past two years, I can also say that when the temperature starts rising, you start clinging to the shade anytime it's necessary to be outside. Drink lots of water too; that helps as well, particularly ice water.

Friend of mine just moved to Tuscon. Apparently the temperature here in Fort Collins, CO has been comparable to the one there. Meaning a pretty hot early summer for us here. I gotta say, I prefer the humid heat over the dry heat. Maybe I'm weird, since most of my friends are the opposite, but it's true.
I find drinking ice water (or something else with ice in it) does wonders for alleviating the problems of heat. I used to hate ice in my drinks--I still do, really--but it's indispensable.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
Avoid the outside unless I have to work. If I'm off I wait until the sun is starting to go down and it cools off to go run errands if it too hot outside.
Drink often, even when you don't want to. If you stop sweating, feel faint or dizzy, and/or feel nauseous you have some kind of heat illness and should get inside immediately. I work at a summer camp and got heat exhaustion on the second day! On my way home I was disoriented and ended up falling. >.< Also, do whatever it takes to lower your body temperature. Swim, sit near a fan, or go find AC. Luckily I swim 5 days a week so I get to cool off on exceedingly hot days. Another pro tip is to avoid wearing dark clothing, as it traps in heat.

Sit inside, make sure all of my exercise is indoors, try to swim/go to the beach a lot. Otherwise, sit on my laptop, go to work, read a book, play video games...that sort of thing.
