I've gotten into these the last few months. There's a lot of interesting information and things to think about when it comes to most talks. Anyone else watch these? Any particular favorites?
To be honest, I have a lot of problems with TED talks, most of which have been covered better elsewhere (eg. here, or here). I think TED talks mostly function as a way for people to say they care about the future and the issues facing the world while essentially doing nothing, and as a way for people to dress up ideas that sound really good but don't mean anything.

Sing lustily and with good courage.
Be aware of singing as if you were half dead,
or half asleep:
but lift your voice with strength.
Be no more afraid of your voice now,
nor more ashamed of its being heard,
than when you sang the songs of Satan.
