History Channel's show Monster Quest did an episode on the Chupacabra some years back. The came to the conclusion that whatever was in Texas was in fact a dog with an extreme case of mange. Still hopeful that there is some truth to any of the cryptids out there.

They can take our Mall, but they can never take our FREEDOM!
I love me some cryptids but The Goat Sucker is one of the least likely to really exist except as a sick or deformed animal. Look at one of those Mexican hairless dogs that could be what gremlins really are.
I'm not denying that this thing is a canine, but I personally haven't seen one that cups its food with its forearms like this animal does.
Because it's a raccoon.
Now get the poor animal some help.
It does actually look like a raccoon with mange and a rather wide snout. For a brief moment, I considered an unrecorded species, but a lot of animals look strange and nigh-unrecognizable with mange. Good call.

Someone beat me to it. It's pretty obviously a raccoon. Iso, it doesn't have a wide snout, it's just that raccoons usually have fluff around their face, which in comparison makes their snouts look smaller than they actually are.
For the record, here is another hairless raccoon The skin color is different, but it's likely that the animal captured is severely ill.
This is so awesome. A Texas family has captured a live chupacabra!
