The attack knocks Pidgey cleanly out of the air. The tiny bird starts wi whip up another sand attack to protect itself, but it takes a minute as it is started to get exhausted. (hp yellow)
"Go. Hit it again with Quick Attack, Ratatoskr. Smash it from the side, at full speed." The white blur that was Ratatoskr began to disappear, as he tried to hone in on his foe, even as he was being pelted by swathes of sand.
"Okay, Pidgey, you might think these small clouds of sand will reduce my accuracy, but I'm from the desert. Sandstorms are the only weather we have and my grandparents made me play outside everyday. Said it could come in handy some day." As Billy finished his recount of his youth, he tossed a Pokeball high into the air above the Pidgey. As the ball reached its highest point, it dropped faster than one would think a Pokeball has any right to fall, due to the heavy topspin Billy had added to the ball when he pitched it.
You start looking for pokemon and after a little searching you find...
What do you do?
If you want to find some water pokemon, you might want to try looking in wetlands and/or on the Beach... Just sayin'.
"So a Metapod. That's a bug type Pokemon. Well, I guess it's about time to let Yahoola stretch his muscles. Let's go Yahoola." The Ant Pit Pokemon quickly walked over to his Trainer and gave a healthy sounding, "Pinch," to show he was ready for battle.
"Well Yahoola, since we aren't here to capture a bug type, we can go all out as quick as possible. Use Bite on that Metapod, and try to make it flinch." Billy's voice was still full of the quality that it had before only had during Trainer battles, and sappy speeches, as he gave the order to attack the Cocoon Pokemon. In response, his Trapinch quickly ran up to the Metapod and began to attempt to chomp it into submission.
"Yahoola, I am sure that that mess won't gum you up at all, but it's better to be safe than sorry. And besides I think it is about time we tried out your new attack. Use Faint Attack."
The Trapinch then jumped and smashed the ground with all his might. This caused a cloud of dust and sand to rise. Within that same instant the Ant Pit Pokemon had disappeared from sight, and then reappeared behind the Metapod. Yahoola began to powerfully smash at it with his large jaws.
"Yahoola, he's on the ropes, it's time to end it. You remember the time we faced that Trainer's Pikachu, we'll use that maneuver. First use Faint Attack to set Metapod up." Yahoola once again disappeared in a cloud of dirt, and then reappeared behind the bug type. "Now use Bite and Faint Attack to drive him into the dirt!" Yahoola bit onto the Metapod's tail and then all of a sudden they were both in midair. The Ant Pit Pokemon finally drove his foe head first into the ground. "Alright Yahoola, I think I'll name that combo the Ant Pit Driver." Yahoola quickly backed off to see if the Metapod had any fight left in it.
OOC: Sorry if I over did it on the poor Metapod, but the character I am portraying always goes full out. He's not mean or evil, but he is merciless when it comes to battling. The whole warriors don't hold back or its disrespectful thing. Also sorry if my attack seems assuming on what would happen, feel free to edit or disregard any part of my post you disagree with, but I figured that the first Faint Attack would set up the rest of the combo.
You head West to Route 10 (Center)...

Once you're there you start looking for trainers and after a little searching you find...
What do you do?
"Well, Yahoola, how do feel about me challenging that girl over there to a battle?" "Trap, Trapinch." "Then the matter is settled." After talking with his Pokemon, Billy walks over to the girl and asks, "Hello Miss, my name is Billy. I am a Pokemon Trainer, and I would like to know two things: 1. What is your name? and 2. Would you care to have a battle with my friend Yahoola and me?"
"It is a pleasure to meet you Amy. I'm going to start this battle off then." Billy looks first at the Teddiursa and then at Yahoola. In a instant he had settled on how to start the battle, "Yahoola smash it down with Faint Attack."
The Trapinch smashed the ground in with his full weight causes a cloud of dust to appear, through which he vanished and reappeared behind the Little Bear Pokemon crashing downward with his jaws.
"Oh, that's no fun," Amy said as Teddiursa was knocked off balance. After regaining itself, she called out "Rake it with your fury swipes!" The bear trundled off, claws out and ready to cause some damage.
After he was slashed a few times from the Teddiursa's barrage, Yahoola backed away trying to shake off the powerful attack while waiting for a command. "Yahoola, use Faint Attack to close the distance, then swich to Bite when your within range."
Yahoola shook his head in agreement, as he caused his usual cloud of dirt to rise. Almost as soon as the dirt was around him, the Trapinch was next to his opponent about to chomp her it into submission.
"Don't lose it, counterfaint with your own attack, and then scratch it again!" Teddiursa matched Yahoola's speed, and as the bite landed, the bear's claws were within striking range of Yahoola again.
When he saw his friend get hit hard for a second time, Billy decided it was time to let his partner go full out in the battle.
"Amy, you are very good at this aren't you? Well, since you two are able to match Yahoola and my moves so far lets see how you react to this? It's time to use our full power, Yahoola. Ant Lion Crush!"
As Billy yelled the name for some type of signature move, or something else silly that only exists in Anime or children's cartoons, Yahoola's eyes seemed to flash. He opened his jaws from around the Teddiursa, only to have them then snap back around the Little Bear Pokemon's body like an inescapable trap.
"Thanks, Billy, but we can't let you have this one easily. Teddi, they stole all your honey!" With that command, Teddiursa gave Yahoola the most vicious leer it could muster, and then tears welled up in its eyes as it started to scream and cry. (Leer, then fake tears . . . yayy for combo attacks)
As Yahoola's mouth began to fill with the salty tears, Billy became worried about his Pokemon choking and letting go of their foe.
"Yahoola, I think that it's time for our own combination move. Yahoola, bury it with your Ant Pit Driver!"
While still cranking out his Bite, Yahoola used Faint Attack once again toward the sky. After appearing above Billy and Amy, Yahoola shifted the Teddiursa's position in his mouth and then dropped down hard into the ground.
There was nothing to be done. Teddiursa's noise, and distance fron its trainer, made it difficult for Amy to issue any commands before Yahoola hurled the bear into the ground. Amy returned her Teddi to its pokeball. "Nice combo, that's pretty impressive."
Congrats, you defeated Lass Amy. Yahoola gains +4 experience, and you receive 180p
"Thank you Amy. You and your Teddiursa were very strong opponents, and my Yahoola and I had a very fun time during our battle. I hope you two do well in the future, goodbye."
"I will start things off then, go Yahoola." When the Trapinch had half materialized from the red light of the Pokeball, Billy gave him his first order without pause, "Quickly, use Faint Attack."
Thankfully, the Gym was well suited for Yahoola's chosen method of distraction, a cloud of dirt. This allowed for him to reappear behind the Bronzor, while trying to deliver a smashing jaw bash to the Bronze Pokemon.
