Excerpts from On The Lords Of The Sky, unknown author:
"The Fandi Fictor was said to have been sent to Earth as punishment for humanity's sins, but it is not natural to expect men to stand still against utter destruction. Thus, they forged many great weapons of steel and thunder and fire, that they may avoid their fate; but while the world was not destroyed, the Fandi Fictor scarred the land horribly, as testament to the wrath of Heaven; and men of dark hearts used the sacred weapons for their own petty purposes. So begins this chronicle:"
"...for it is Them who rule this Earth from Above: They, who were once Mortals, took to the hallowed Skies with Unearthly power, when the World was young, and made the Skies Theirs..."
"...even now, the Priests of the Nameless travel through the Whole of Usea, their faces always hidden from Strangers. Like their Master, they offer sage Advice to every Man in this World, driving them towards Greateness..."
"Lo and behold, as the Grim Reaper scours the skies he takes notice of the plight of innocents. His mighty scythe cuts through their foes, and after the mighty bearings of the Aquila fall the Grim Reaper rests, ready to defend the innocents when needed."
"The Eternal, unstoppable as Death itself, is worshiped by almost all Men, and even the flock of the other Lords of the Sky render due Homage unto Him, for the Eternal selflessly braved countless Dangers in the name of Justice. In memory of his Deeds, courthouses bear the Symbol of the Eternal, a Ribbon with only one Side..."
"...And Thus the Eternal slew the Mighty Beast, laying in wait beneath the heart of the world, by diving down its very throat to cut out its foul heart. The battle over, He accepted no praise and simply thanked his allies and flew off into the horizons with but an Oath; Always he would be vigilant, and in times of need all of Usea would be under the Aegis of his Sheltering Wings"

The heavenly skies, the limitless azure expanse that encompasses the entirety of existence. This is your home, your job, your life. But there are hazardous perils, life-threatening dangers and the difference between shooting down a bogey and getting shot down yourself is a matter of milliseconds. But then again, that's what you signed up for, isn't it?
This game is something a bit out of the ordinary. The system is one that was created, from the ground up, by people who loved the mythos and idea of the Ace Combat series, although the anime Strike Witches also played a big role in its development. (If you want to look for yourselves, go for it. I'm not that much a fan though.) I'm a big fan of the video games and figured I would see how well this would work.
I'm looking for anywhere from 3 to 6 players to play this system. It's not officially published, but it's simple, easy to understand, and only uses a single die: the D6. I have personally played this system and can say that it's one of the best homebrew systems I've tried.
If you're interested, please post here, and mention if you would prefer a serious game (In which we would use the ace combat mythos and rules), or a fun, more light-hearted game (in which it will be set in the Strike Witches universe).
