We are playing characters of level where destroying material plane is a real option, and taking leadership/epic leadership would give us enough followers to ascend us into godhood.
And honestly, construct swarm is just using Artifact Lord Epic Destiny Soul Transfer ability, (Or awakening the construct and using Mind Switch, True to it.) getting into the body of the construct. It's not that complicated. It is even suggested in the Epic Destinies that this is what Artifact Lords do. It is comparative to becoming lich, really. Except that it's wildly more powerful, probably because liches suck.
If that is not going to fly, I play Ramses III, Pharao. Cleric / Walker in the Waste 10 / Whatever, going for undead leadership and epic undead leadership, and marching around on a carried throne and forcing my slaves to chant faux latin for me. :grin3::grin3::grin3:
This will be my character portrait:
==========
As long as you don't allow Ti'rin's epic maneuvers without a grain of salt, there should be no problems. Martial adepts are weak compared to casters, so while they are more powerful than fighters, etc, that shouldn't be a problem. They still aren't the biggest fish in the sea.

The Sage is occupied with the unspoken
and acts without effort.
Teaching without verbosity,
producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.
