I figured that we might as well get the Character Creation thread up. It seems we will be starting this adventure with between three and four players. As such Characters will start at level six.
Character Creation Rules and Restrictions
Mountain Dwarves, Full-Blooded Elves (of any nation), and Gnomes need a relatively decent explanation as to why they are out adventuring and not back at home. Meanwhile, Minotaurs, Full Blooded Ogres, and Sea-Elves while not impossible, are almost completely unheard of and will need an exceptionally good explanation as to why they are out adventuring. The races Tarmak and Draconian are completely off-limits at this point in time.
Non-Evil Clerics, Paladins, Druids, and Rangers will not have any access to divine powers and spells at the start of the adventure. And the Cleric I mentioned as being a requirement in the adventure MUST be one of the Good or Neutral Clerics and cannot be an evil one.
Finally, because the event known as the Summer of Chaos is decades away as far as the game world is concerned, the Class known as the Mystic is unplayable, and only Fey Creatures, Draconic Creatures, and other inherently magical races can take the Sorcerer Class. Additionally the Bard Class while it is allowable to take, will be unable to access any spells for the same reason that the Mystic and Sorcerer are more or less unaccessible.
Additionally no Custom Items (by this I mean no items that cannot be created using the standard Item Creation Rules as found in the Dungeon Masters Guide and Magic Item Compendium), No Flaws, No Traits, no Custom Classes or Races, Level Adjusted Races are allowed so long as their Level Adjustment doesn't exceed the maximum level of the Adventure (as set by the number of participants) minus Two (so assuming level seven starting point, then the max level adjustment you can have is a five). As an aside characters cannot be of the evil morale alignment. At least at the start of the campaign.
On to further Business, I will be using Standard Currency Allotment for the Classes. However we will be using Krynnish Currency instead of the Standard Gold Currency. This means money will be set as Steel. For the most part you just need to assume that in the place of the word Gold Pieces, the word should be Steel Pieces. Standard Gold Allotment for the levels we start at.
For those people using Custom Characters we will be using the following Avatar of Kokusho's Hit Points Method: Full HP on Odd levels, Half HP on Even Levels. Also I will be requesting that you use a 28 point mamelon point buy. Yes I know it is significantly less than usual, but I feel that 28 points should balance you out with the typical characters in the campaign. I will also allow you to subtract points from an ability score to increase them in another, which is a unique feature to this campaign. No Ability Score however can start above 18, unless it is done via Racial Modifiers.
I am accepting one more entry into this campaign
Books you will probably need access to for this adventure:
The Standard D&D 3.5 Core Books.
The Dragonlance Campaign Setting Source Book.
And I, since words are not that can reveal
Half the heart-shaking wonder that I feel,
Give you no answer, asking love of me,
But eyes unveiled, lips that move silently.
All youth, all love, all life were made for this,
The wordless moment of the spirit's kiss. -Since Words Are Not, Carolyn Crosby Wilson
I just thought I would let you all know, I will be at a Major Magic the Gathering Tournament in my area during most of the day on Saturday the 9th, and maybe on Sunday the 10th as well. I will however be trying to get this game started this weekend if at all possible (assuming everyone has their characters up and posted by then). So please bear with me while I am at these MTG events. But I ask that you please try to get your characters posted ASAP so that we can get started as soon as realistically possible.
I am still waiting for Characters from; Cabal_chan, Set Abominae, and Amadi

if Anklet of Translocation is that teleport 10 feet item, then I am going to have to say you can't have it. At least at the start of the adventure. Also going to have to say no to the healing belt as well. Sorry man.
Also, Tanis should actually be 102 years old, unless you are also re-imagining his birth year?

Anklet of Translocation is a swift action so I can only use it on my turn. I admit that 10 of them is a bit much. Is there a way we could compromise?
EDIT: Also, thanks for the clarification on Tanis' age. The resource I looked at for it must have been wrong.
after talking with you, now that I know the anklets can only be used on YOUR OWN turn, I will allow the Anklets. But Teleportation beyond say 100 feet at a time, and if used on any turn but your own, is forbidden at the start of the campaign.

Good catch, I mis-remembered them as 750. Either way, I'm changing my character significantly so it's a moot point now.
All characters are in, and Campaign has started, please post there.
