may I request that when the thread for the adventure finally gets posted, that we get a link to said adventure thread posted here in the character creation thread. As I have this thread subscribed and it would be easy to notice the link if it were in here, but hard to notice if it wasn't posted in here.

This is already a standard practice for most DM's here so no need to worry about it D_C...
That being said you can always just check the main P&PI thread and see if there's any new threads up

I need to choose between Fleshraker Dinosaur (MM3), or Bloodstriker Dino (also MM3) for my animal companion. Any ideas?
Fleshraker is the stronger option, if that's the way you are looking at it.

I would like to officially request that this adventure start NOW. We can retcon Halinn's character and Sceluk's pet into the adventure as soon as they are ready

How your pet has 4 HD is beyond me, considering that as your effective druid level regarding it is 7 (-3 druid level pet, IIRC.), it already gains 4 *bonus* HD. Infact, I think what you listed there is just a basic Fleshraker, with nothing gained from your druid levels.
That thing is going to almost double in power when you apply the levels.

And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.

Weel, technically, Githzerai and Githyanki are the same race, so yeah, I'd be a cannible If I eat them. But I don't they raste nice at all. yuk
no, they are descended from the same race, over time they have each adapted in such unique ways as to be considered separate races entirely.
Its like ethnicity but to a more extreme level, sure we can all be traced to black ancestry, however we have subtly adapted genetically to our environment to be considered a completely separate ethnicity from our ancestors of old, so a Caucasian is actually different from a Latino in a slight genetical level, but are still part of the homosapiens family.
Imagine what might happen if given thousands/millions of years some humans started to live in location with heavier or lighter gravity, they might change in such extreme levels that they might be considered another species entirely.

Krh-krhm. *clears throat* Someone who's studied a fair bit of biology for his age here. Just here to clear some things up. And to turn this into a science discussion.
A: Definition of a specie is as follows: "Two subjects are of a given specie, given that, assuming that they are either different sex or hemaphrodites, they can breed so that the offspring is not infertile."
I.E: While a donkey and a horse can breed to and have a mule as offspring. Mules, however, are infertile. (Apart from some exceptions to the rule.) Therefore horses and donkeys are not the same specie.
Further, Sceluk has read faaaar too much science fiction. It is not possible for a human to develop gills, or photosynthesizing cells. To create such, we would need to have the gene in the first place. I.E: At least a single human would have to be photosynthesizing or have gills so that the genes from that person could spread on to others of us. Biological succession happens so, that when a gene is beneficial to an individiual, that individual logically gets more offspring, who all have a chance to have the given gene. These offspring that got the gene will then get more offspring of their own than those that didn't, and as such the gene spreads in the population.
Only ways for humans to develop gills or photosynthesis would be either by using biotechnology to plant needed genes to humans, or by a very-VERY lucky serie of point-mutations. Gills, for example, would have to be a part of our fundamental genes, (Like limbs, etc.) and as such are very well protected. Further, this mutation would either have to happen in the pre-fetus stage of a fetus, or in the gamete of either male or female. Further, the offspring would have to be able to live in our normal environment. This is not a given, having some gills spread on your throat can make it quite a difficult feat to live on land, especially considering how they can screw up your blood circulation, etc. Oh, and the fetus would also need to NOT have mutations in locations that make it.. Well, dead. And it would have to breed. It might be rather hard to date with girls. ".. What are those?" "Oh, just my gills, nevermind them." "WHAT THE ****?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!" "Gills, like fish have? Never heard?" "OH MY GOD WHAT A FREAK I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU RAGEDRAMA"
Gravity, on the other hand, would be a much more feasible reason for evolution. It would most probably decrease the muscle-mass, as to move in the moon you need a fair bit less strength. Further, people would grow taller, although a lot about that wouldn't be because of genes, but because of the gravity. I also believe that certain ways of controlling our body temperature would become more common - The temperature in moon varies wildly, so such ability would be very useful indeed.
To end up this lesson, I'm going to say that evolution has not stopped. It is constantly working. Look at your feet, at the little toe. That is a rudiment. In [a lot of] generations it will be gone from our bodies, since we have absolutely no use for it anymore, and still spend energy growing it. I am assuming that since the difference is negligible, the change will be sloooooooooow. With slow, I mean a few million years.

You are absolutely right there Amadi. I also used to study biology, but only till O-Level. Gill aren't that unfeasible really. I accept that to gain them more quicker we may need to use genetic technology, but after all gills are just an exchange surface, like the lungs. All it would need would be for some baby in a water world to have a muation that leads to rudimentary gills, and bam there you go. Although I agree with you that the chaces of such a mutation happening are 1/(over infinitely large no).
But it can happen. After all, how did fish develop gills eh?
I am pretty sure that the life form known today as Fish, have always (at least as long as they can be recognized as fish) had Gils, considering that aquatic life of that sort predates the Dinosaurs

Everyone, I apologize for my prolonged absence, but I haven't had the desire to be online in the last week or so. I'm trying to gain the feel for it again, but I'm not really sure.
I've just started my new job and my time is not really that free anymore.
I will have this up and running in a moment however.
Also, for clarification, will people please PM me their character sheets it will make opening the campaign thread go alot faster and smoother
