So I have been kicking around an idea for a campaign based on a fantasy world. In this world you have the lush highlands and the vast expanse of the desert. Think "Dune" meets World of Darkness - Fantasy. Within this world, two major factions rule - the Highborne's and the Syndicate (Desert People's Coalition). Within this world, the following races are found: Humans, Elves, Dwarves. Each race may contain different sub-races (Drow, Duegar, etc . . .). Only a few major cities exist (2 in the highlands, and 1 central city in the desert) and the trade between them is very limited. Magic is still based in a D20 system as is the class builds and such. Anyhow, it's an idea I've been kicking around for awhile. What do you all think?
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

This is Deraxas we're talking about.
Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

There are only so many epic, psuedonatural barbarian/blackguard half-dragon akutenshai vampire balor paragons they can throw at you, right?

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
Dune is a world created by Frank Herbert, set upon different planets - my reference refers to the desert planets and the harvesting of "spice." The other reference is World of Darkness - Fantasy, basically a white wolf world that clashes Vampires, Werewolves, Mages and Hunters. Modern WoD is set in the now and the balance between the Vampire houses and the Garu Tribes (I don't really care for the Mages or the Hunter story arc's, but they exist too). In my world, Vampires, Werewolves, etc . . . exist, it's just not many people believe they do.
I know next to nothing about either reference you made, though.
